After weeks of unexpected silence, Music Elixir returns with hosts Sarah and Panic sharing the dramatic story behind their absence. Panic's car was totaled in a hit-and-run incident following her April 12th radio show. Coming out of the studio to discover her vehicle crashed and moved from its parking spot, she was left stranded in the middle of a snowstorm. With characteristic humor, Panic jokes that perhaps the universe was simply pushing her to finally buy that new car she'd been putting off.

Despite life's challenges, the duo dove into their recent musical adventures, starting with Hwasa's electrifying performance at Boston's MGM Fenway. Her solo stage presence was nothing short of mesmerizing – a sparkling human disco ball commanding the audience's attention with powerful vocals, impressive choreography, and magnetic charisma. They praised her entertaining intermission videos showing her exploring Boston landmarks, creating an intimate connection with fans between costume changes.

The conversation shifts to a thoughtful discussion about performance artistry and the double standards often applied to female performers. They note how suggestive choreography has been part of music performances since Elvis, questioning why certain artists face disproportionate criticism for similar artistic expressions.

The highlight of their recent experiences was the meticulously curated Jungkook "Golden: The Moments" exhibition in New York City. Taking listeners on a virtual tour through velvet-curtained rooms displaying iconic outfits from his solo promotions, performance videos, and intimate behind-the-scenes glimpses, their enthusiasm is palpable. Each room offered not just artifacts but tangible energy from the performances these items represented.

Looking forward, they share exciting news about upcoming exhibitions for other BTS members, including Jimin's "The Truth Untold" coming to the same New York venue. Their passionate conversation reveals not just fandom but a deep appreciation for the artistry and expression behind the performances they love.

Whether you're a dedicated K-pop enthusiast or simply enjoy authentic conversations about music and performance, this comeback episode reminds us that even when life throws unexpected obstacles, the joy of musical connection remains a powerful elixir for the spirit.

Welcome Back After Unexpected Hiatus

Speaker 1

Welcome everybody to another episode of Music Elixir with me Sarah Ann, miss Panic, miss Panic, it's been a while.

Speaker 2

It has been a very panic weeks for me. Definitely A lot of problems happening to me. Anyways, if you're a follower to me of music, elixir or um, both also okay. Asia some people are worried because we made abrupt announcements of like oh, due to unexpected, out of our control things out of our control. You know, there's no podcast episode and there wasn't any show. All right, I, I did, I did, I. I just want to. This is for all the ones that have been asking dming and wondering if we're okay.

Speaker 2

We are fine, we're both fine yes on april 12th, which it was a full moon of course I was, you know, on air with, with you know, if you were listening, from when I was on there at the radio stations, somebody actually hit my car and ran meaning, um, they pretty much crashed my car and left the scene. So unfortunately I don't have a car. Uh, you will imagine after, you know, doing an amazing show because I was so happy and I was dancing and you know it was a great night Having a good time, yeah.

Speaker 2

April 12 show. Just to let you everybody, that's when I have him Just coming out of the studio with that, you know, surprising mangled car. Well, I mean, it was smashed.

Speaker 1

Well, that's because it weren't you're you like, I didn't park it there because it got moved lady.

Speaker 2

I was just like wow, this person must have been intoxicated or fell asleep behind the wheel, but it looks more like intoxicated, according to the cops. But just coming out, you know how the studio is, you know you open the door and you're outside already yeah, yeah, you're right there, the car's right there so I come out and I'm like what's all this junk on the floor?

Speaker 2

I'm like what happened here? What's all this like debris? Because it was clean, it was a clean street. So I was like, oh no, this doesn't like. And I was worried because, of course, around us we have bears, deers I think someone saw a moose many years ago, but anyways we have wildlife.

Speaker 1

We have wildlife.

Speaker 2

So I was just like did a bear hit something or is it just trash from it? Anyways, I proceeded to walk towards my car and I'm like where's my car? Because it was not on the spot where I left it and I kept moving up. Did somebody stole my car? I thought somebody stole my car because it was not on the spot where I left it and I kept moving up. Did somebody stole my car? I thought somebody stole my car, so I kept moving up and I'm like, oh no, it's on the side of the building, crashed into the other car that it was parked there, that it was not supposed to be parked there. So I'm like, oh my god, I was gonna say, wasn't that also?

Speaker 1

we had crazy weather here and it snowed for like three days, yeah, yeah, so it was still a little wet and a little slick, slushy, yep. So I was like, well, maybe they lost control, but that late at night that was more like people out partying and someone just yeah, it's a. It's a weird place where, if you're not paying attention, you'll just drive straight at that building Exactly Because it looks like it's a continuation of the road even though the road actually turns Exactly and that's a driveway leading to cars.

Speaker 2

That obviously was your car, that they hit was your car that they hit? Mind you, the bad weather didn't start it to accumulate, or you know, until 3 30 in the morning. That happened before then and of course I'm out there and here comes the slushy snow.

Speaker 2

I'm like great, oh my god. And there's like no light and no nothing. I'm calling the northampton Police Department. I'm like I even forgot the address where I was. No, it was insane. I was in so much stress, it was crazy. Anyways, family had to go pick me up and bring me home and you know, just freaking out, just freaking out.

Speaker 1

Well, nothing worse than coming out to see your car completely demolished or having a tow truck pry it out from the spot.

Speaker 2

Richard was like, oh my God, he turned that car on and the muffler was already dislodged. Oh yeah, so the exhaust was coming from the front of the car and it was going. I'm like, oh my god, is it gonna explode? Like dude you, really, what are you gonna do? Because he was moving it? Why he had to pull it a little bit so then he can move it. I'm like really, you go to a mall, he does what they do for a living, you know yeah, I guess so but that's crazy.

Speaker 2

He got it up there and then brought it over here and I've just been sitting there. I'm gonna be saying goodbye to it on monday. It's sad. You know I had that car for so many years. I know it only had 37000 miles when I bought it. I did so much with this car. It was 183,000. Over 183,000. Oh, that's nothing. I know you're used to drive yours to the ground.

Speaker 1

Because when I got that Subaru it was at 90. And when I got rid of it it was 316,000. So yeah, wow, I drove it to the ground you did.

Hit-and-Run Car Incident Details

Speaker 2

So anyways. So we left our car. You know, that's why we couldn't get together. I was looking for a car, so we're fine.

Speaker 1

The only.

Speaker 2

Thing that was damaged.

Speaker 1

Here is my poor car well, at least you weren't in it.

Speaker 2

That's the important exactly that's what a lot of people say. How about you were in the car trying to go home?

Speaker 1

yeah, and that happening, yeah, you know it could have happened between midnight and three, when I was on air.

Speaker 2

Well, did you know? And he during that time? Because, when you know mr mark wasn't, you know he left, he during that time. Cause, when you know Mr Mark wasn't, you know, he left a little bit earlier, but he would have said something if, like, oh my God, because he parks on that same side of the building, yeah, he, he wouldn't notice.

Speaker 1

Oh damn.

Speaker 2

So yes, but many things have happened since sarah and I've been away for a while. Geez, we got new song.

Speaker 1

There have been some major like drama. You know well, we've been to a couple of shows, yes, or one show and one exhibit we wanted to uh bring you.

Speaker 2

It's gonna be a very short wasa concert experience, because it's been a while. We usually like to talk about it like a week after you know, because we're still right away. Well, it's still fresh in your mind, but it's gonna be a like a shorty, shorty one. You know, do you want to start with that?

Speaker 1

yeah, we could do that.

Speaker 2

So when was it that we started? It was on.

Speaker 1

March 30th.

Speaker 2

March 30th.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

At the MGM Fenway. I've been liking that venue a lot. Boston yeah, definitely they know what to do. They know how to handle the crowd Well it's small, it's a small venue.

Speaker 1

so that's why, like a, it's like a mini concert hall, but I think it's only 5 000 people, so a little easier to handle than bigger venues that we usually go to right right, but I I I like that they have merch.

Speaker 2

They tell you where to go for the merch. Those merch is too long. You know they're like don't here, but you know they know how to handle the crowd, you know.

Speaker 1

Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 2

And they were not skimping on people behind the merch table. They were like what? Four people? Yeah, it was.

Speaker 1

And they were just like next next, exactly.

Speaker 2

There was one person who asked me it's like how was your line for the merch experience? I'm like it was in and out, it was good.

Speaker 1

Well, it helped that we looked at stuff beforehand, so we knew what we wanted, right, because that's the worst thing with the merch table is when you're standing behind someone who's like can I see what's that one? I'm like it's right there, it's hanging up, you can see it.

Speaker 2

Well, that's why they have the front and back, you know. So they're like what's on the back of that, you know? But I'm it's.

Speaker 1

I'm awful with merch tables. I'm like, come on, you're holding up the line.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you know, it's all right there, and usually you're standing in line for a while you have time to look at things, maybe not right up close, but you have an idea of what it is. It reminds me of the. Remember the comedian Sinbad. Yes, he had a whole thing about going to McDonald's and the person in front of you is looking at the menu. He's like it's been the same damn menu for 30 years. How do you not know what you want? It's the same thing. You've. You've been staring at the merch for 10 minutes in line, right? You know what's there exactly. You don't have to ask to look at everything exactly and they, they have the prices on it, so you know how much it's gonna cost exactly.

Speaker 2

I like them because you'll be like mental okay, how much do I have for merch? Okay, I think I am able to get a, a t-shirt, a bag and maybe a pin, you know like you're already like. But then you start questioning, thinking man, but I really like this. This other thing that they have, and it's's unique, they don't have that, you know. You start thinking I want everything, but all I have is this much. You know which? For Waza was the same thing too, because the hoodie was really cool too.

Speaker 1

It was, it was awesome.

Speaker 2

But sometimes our budget is just like either a hoodie, or everything else, because hoodies are getting way expensive and they're not even zippers, it's just pullovers.

Speaker 1

I know it's a pullover, yeah, I've bought them before, but I prefer zip-up hoodies, right? So yeah, it's like.

Speaker 2

To me now. The hoodie gotta look really, really cool or I'm not gonna buy it. Because, it's mad expensive, Like the most I seen was 85 dollars.

Speaker 1

I think hers was like 70, but still, yeah, but still it's a lot for I understand it's a hoodie, but you could get the t-shirt, the towel and the pin for, yeah, you know the same amount then just a hoodie.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I have not seen tote bags a lot lately. Have you noticed that?

Speaker 1

yeah, although I saw kylie minogue and she had a tote bag okay, so okay I think it. You know it depends, and some people they don't bring all the merch they actually have, because I've noticed like after we saw I am, yeah, you could go to his like fan site yeah and they had different merch there and that I mean you know, so you can order it, right, it's the same thing.

Wasa Concert Experience at MGM

Speaker 1

if you were at the show, you know, you're like I can buy it, yeah. So sometimes they don't have everything you, you know, especially for international artists, it's hard to bring a lot of stuff, and then of course, they sell out. Like how many times have we like I am where I was like yeah, all they have are small T-shirts.

Speaker 2

I'm like oh no, not going to cut it, sorry, boo. You know your American crowd is a little bit bigger, you know but yeah, so it was.

Speaker 1

It was very interesting because it was really just her. Yeah, on the stage with six, six backup dancers who came out once in a while right and danced. But like she was just, it was her out there singing away and dancing and doing her thing and we were like I love the outfits.

Speaker 2

I know everything was sparkly. It was like, oh my god, she's her own disco ball. She's twirling and dancing and singing and, oh my god, body rolls and swinging her hair. She was doing a lot of sexy moves and I'm like, oh, that's why she's got in trouble with that Korean university.

Speaker 1

University.

Speaker 2

The scandalous university dance. Oh my God, what about the children? I'm like they all should be overage to go to college, unless you have a genius kid.

Speaker 1

But what? That was insane. You know it's funny you bringing that up. That was something I've seen people talking about with uh, some other artists, j-hope, um, specifically, people were like he's doing some suggestive dancing. Uh, this is not new for bts, of course, choreography, so his own choreography wouldn't be very much different, exactly. But people are like how could he do that? There's kids in the audience. I'm like um, he's over 30. Okay, he's not a children's artist. No, so neither is Wasa, and we've talked about this before. It's choreography, exactly, it is dance moves. They've always been suggestive. Since Elvis, we have had suggestive dance moves, wild hits yeah.

Speaker 1

Elvis the Pelvis. So so I mean, I don't know. I have not seen any artists who don't do some sort of slightly suggestive move. So why people are picking on wasa and you know why are you?

Speaker 2

exactly um it's. There is a disclaimer, I believe, on tickets and also in venues that is.

Speaker 1

You know it's a parental advisory for the shows, concerts or whatever is going in there yeah, I mean you have to be most times, you have to be accompanied by an adult, so yeah, so you know you.

Speaker 2

You know what you bring. You're going there to see your artist, so you know how your artists act, right, you know. You know what you bring. You go in there to see your artist, so you know how your artist act, right, you know. Yeah, I don't know if you heard that.

Speaker 1

Somebody out in the parking lot honking their horn they agree, they agree yeah. Well, and that's the thing, Exactly. And if you're taking your child who likes this music, have you not looked at what exactly?

Speaker 2

artists do?

Speaker 1

are you not familiar? Because my parents, whatever I listened to, they'd listen to my dad usually was like what is it? But my mom would listen to sort of gauge what exactly, and most of the time they liked it. I mean my mom loved elvis, so fully familiar. My father was very much into the the rock and roll guys and I mean, come on, yeah, you know what rock and roll guys do with their guitars shenanigans, shenanigans, 100 beyond.

Speaker 2

So you know even lady gaga at one on her residency. You have seen uh reels of her. You know, like, what are you doing? Bringing a kid into a lady gaga show.

Speaker 1

Oh, yeah, people were talking my fault it's, you know, demonic. I'm like what it's Lady Gaga, it's art.

Speaker 2

Exactly.

Speaker 1

Plus, if you listen to the album Ma'am, there was a lot of woo woo stuff.

Speaker 2

Exactly.

Speaker 1

She even said it's not my fault if you bring your child here. I mean, she's been around long enough. You should know what Lady Gaga does.

Speaker 2

God since the early 2000s.

Speaker 1

Right, yeah, and so yeah. And then even at Coachella people were talking about apparently Lisa's stage yeah. I mean, I guess you pick and choose what you find offensive or not, and but like what was she? Doing like yeah it was a get a room kind of choreography.

Speaker 2

So she's learning from bad bunny, because yeah, oh man.

Speaker 1

Okay, but yeah, so wasa we. We got to see the controversial yeah choreography and I was like, yeah, but yeah, that's nothing, no, exactly, I'm like no, this is just oh my god remember um madonna oh yeah in the was it mid 90s, early 2000s. She had something that was yes, like it was.

Speaker 2

It was the year that she released her book uh sex and then she did, based on that book as well, I think, the tour uh one of the uh was it Utah, utah.

Speaker 1

One of the.

Speaker 2

Midwestern states that said that she, she re-performs. Um, it was one song that she performed with a bed on stage. Yeah, and they said that if she performs that, that she will be arrested yeah, and she did get arrested. She did get arrested because it was just intimidating. I guess, yeah, so now, nowadays people are more creative. They don't use the bed, you know, they just like do some air moves, like you know, understand. It's been going on for ages. It has, oh my God.

Speaker 1

Jim Morrison got arrested in Florida back in the 60s. Yep the doors because and he wasn't even he was just doing his usual flailing around dancing, but there it was suggestive, you got arrested you know, he said some things also that florida government didn't like and you know being a hippie and the revolution you know, exactly, so it's been like ages. Yeah, this has been. I bet mozart did some crazy stuff on stage too, I'm sure I'm sure you know, it's just just crazy but uh her performance was awesome.

Speaker 1

It was then I was but uh, her performance was awesome. It was then. I was mesmerized, I know, I just couldn't like. I was like I can't look away because she's just doing so many things. And again it was just her on the stage. There were no props, there was no big sets going on nothing.

Speaker 2

It was just a live show behind her, but that was it.

Artist Performances and Controversies

Speaker 1

And, yeah, the lighting and you know whatnot, yeah, and in the six dancers who came out once in a while, but I mean, it was really. It was her yep given her all and it was awesome when she did her little costume changes. She had those cute videos of her doing silly things around boston.

Speaker 2

I like the whole video montage that they do like you know all right, intermission video montage here we go. I like that. Uh, she's gone to places that I have been or that we have been, you know yeah um, you know, tate's uh, or um cafe, which is so good. They have amazing pastries. Yes, that's. Yes, it's a hype, I know it's a hype, but I mean they're really good.

Speaker 2

I give them kudos, just really good. I'm also going to uh mike's, uh italian pastries, oh my god, which are really good. Please go there, not sponsored, but they just really are. You know, I want people to come back. You know, come to boston so you can go to this place. What about the when she went to harvard?

Speaker 1

right, that's it. She's walking around, she's like. Now I can tell people I've been to harvard.

Speaker 2

Yes, she was so cute, she was so funny and doing her little makeup thing she's like I'm gonna try this. You know, whatever, get ready with me or something like that. She was looking for videos to see oh which which makeup she wanted to do she was so funny, but it was she messed it up anyway. So she went and went to her makeup party. Can you fix this?

Speaker 1

I like that because we felt like we were with her having like a, you know not, I guess, a date or, you know, a slumber party like a girl hanging out. Yeah, let's do our makeup and see what happens. Oh my god, it was so cool. Yeah, it was very just fun. She's got magnetism. She just drew you in because the whole place was just up and dancing pretty much the whole time, except for when some people were like could you sit down? We can't see the TV, oh my.

Speaker 2

God, I was like why are?

Speaker 1

you watching the TV and not her on the stage Like right in front of you.

Speaker 2

Right, I don't know, I don't know, but anyways, Like I don't want to sit down.

Speaker 2

There's always got to be somebody just being like a total, like, oh really, what can we do? Oh well, but yes, if you check out her music, check out if she's going to come back to the US. You know, try to go to one of her shows. Yeah, I mean of course, but of course, first check out her music if you really like her. But we love her Amazing voice, also performer. We wish her more the best. I we haven't heard anything new for her recently?

Speaker 1

no, but I think she's maybe still wrapping up the tour, right, she? I think she's done with the us, but I think, yeah, she's still got other places she's going to go to Europe or not?

Speaker 2

I forgot.

Speaker 1

I don't think so. No, because that's something Europe always complains about. I know they're like you guys bitch about not being able to go. Nobody comes here. I'm like, oh well, okay, yeah, I guess I sort of see your point. Yeah, but in our defense it's because Europe has, I think, even stricter visa things. Okay, you know what I'm saying. So that's in our defense, and we all know how visas work out a lot of time for our artists anyways. Yes, how many things have been canceled or postponed because people couldn't get a visa?

Speaker 2

Exactly.

Speaker 1

Or you know, just lineups change because someone couldn't get a visa, A card couldn't come because of visa.

Speaker 2

Supposedly visa problems, but everything was okay yeah.

Speaker 1

I don't know what happened there. But the good news is Jin, who is going to be doing a tour, is going to London at least so you got a shot.

Speaker 2

now, europe Well he has his buddies from Coldplay, you know. They probably were like they're coming with us. You know, they're just some kind of I don't know business transaction there, I know right.

Speaker 1

Kind of like interesting that he's like oh yeah, I got a visa, let's go hey, well, you know, chris martin browley was like no, you got to bring him here. Exactly, there's no I got people.

Speaker 2

I get peoples to help you well, and he was they've they've been touring.

Speaker 1

Yes, and they were in seoul for a few days and yep jen went and performed with them. Rm showed up at one of the shows my boy because there's a picture of him with sy and chris martin. Oh yeah, I saw that, so I was like he must have been at the show I.

Speaker 2

Why not RM? My boo-boo Can't wait to see them Speaking of RM. I was going to say oh, what about that announcement from Tablo? Oh yeah, and then Tablo and RM. Oh my God Well they've worked together before.

Speaker 1

Yes. So on Indigo yeah, I guess RM recorded his part of this music before his enlistment, before yep Tablo's been holding on to it and working on it. He wasn't sure.

Speaker 2

I mean he explained on a reel that it was ready but he didn't feel right to release it because RM being in the military, of course, I think Tablo tried to reach him and ask him about the song and RM was like how come you didn't release it.

Speaker 1

He was like dude, what are?

Speaker 2

you doing. I gave you this song a year and a half ago. He's like release it. He's like young, release it so that's coming out. In May I was being a smartass because he's like it's tavlo and who, and I put bad bunny. Everything for me is bad bunny. If you see a comment that says bad bunny, it was probably me.

Speaker 2

A lot of people were saying sugar, sugar, sugar or rm or you know, yeah, and it turned out to be all right like, oh, my god, it might for some reason. I was thinking suga, because it's been a while since he last was with suga, for his album.

Speaker 1

Right for album or for anything right? I mean, he was on the the show that suga had talking about various things going on, but I haven't gotten anything from sugar that this could have been like his first thing since you know?

Speaker 2

yeah, since his own album, you know yep, so yeah, that's why I was like sugar I was like I'm feeling like it should be awesome if it was sugar, but you know something to look forward to yeah, uh, what else will be going on? What else will we remember that we're like, oh my god, this is happening I don't know what else did you want to talk about?

Speaker 1

because, okay, we did. We went to that exhibit. Is that something you want to talk about now?

Speaker 2

save for later oh, the john kook exhibit which had just ended. Right, did it just end?

New Artists Collaborations and Updates

Speaker 1

there's a going no, no, it's going till may 16th, I believe, so there's still time for people to see that all right, let's talk about the jungkook exhibit journey that we took down in new york.

Speaker 2

It's a Golden exhibit.

Speaker 1

Yeah, golden Moments exhibit based on the solo period for him. When he released Golden and I got a notification, tickets were going on sale, it was funny. I managed to buy them before they were technically on sale. Oh wow, I don't know how that happened. I was just so excited. I was like, oh, look like early bird discounts, so I just went in and bought them. And then I was reading the excited. I was like, oh, look like early bird discounts, so I just went in and bought them. And then I was reading the thing they're like tickets go on sale at 1 pm and I'm like, oh, it's only like noon, but all right, they let me buy them. And we got them.

Speaker 2

Oh wow, you know what?

Speaker 1

That's probably karma.

Speaker 2

Not karma, just the universe saying I am sorry you couldn't go see j-hope. I know right. I think hopefully this will. We'll let you go exactly. We'll let it slide that you were early. This is a consolation plot, consolation prize. We're not able to get the j-hope tickets, but it was, oh, it was a cool day. We had really good weather we did.

Speaker 1

It was sometimes we go down there and it's like, oh my god, really well, because we'd just been getting snow up here, yeah. So we were like, oh no, I hope right.

Speaker 2

We're like how bad is gonna be new york? Is it gonna be really cold, it's gonna be wet, it's gonna be slushy like, but no, no, it was a beautiful day. It was a little windy, yes, it was a comfortable day.

Speaker 1

It was nice. Yeah, we we drove. We got up kind of early because I was like, well, we want to get to the city by noon and then figure our way down Right. We usually have two spots where we hit really bad traffic on our way to. We catch a train in New Haven no traffic, we just zoomed right in. We got so lucky Just zoomed right in.

Speaker 2

We got so lucky.

Speaker 1

Found parking in the garage, which we went on a Wednesday midweek, so usually the lots are full from commuters the commuters going to the city to work. Yep, we got a spot, we got in. The next train was in like 20 minutes so we had time to get our snacks and do all that. Got into the city and I will give this information to everybody I do not like subways, I do not like buses. I usually walk or drive myself everywhere because I'm like but I just I don't do subways. But I researched the subway, made sure I knew exactly what train we needed to be on. I was like okay, you know what panic, I'm willing to give it a try Because you know taxis and Ubers and everything are expensive.

Speaker 2

Oh, no, yeah, I'm like, I'll just do what you need to do.

Speaker 1

You know, Because I was like well, you know, I'll pay for taxis or whatever, just so we don't have to deal. But I was like you know what I'll put on my big girl pants. It was fine.

Speaker 2

You know we're just like. You know. We check out our surroundings, make sure what's going on, and it's like hold your breath if it's stinky, because it's always stinky.

Speaker 1

Well, my biggest issue was because earlier in the year the New York subway system was having a lot of problems, but we managed to do it. I was like it's one train straight down, straight back. It should be fine, we don't have to switch, we don't have to figure out. You know 20 different things. I was like we'll give it a shot. So I got on a subway and we rode down big step for me, yeah you did great.

Speaker 2

I'm so proud of you. I'm so proud of you. Wait until family. You're so proud, oh man. Yeah, no, now I was. I even told you and I'm like let me wait till the end of the ride. I'm so proud of you. Oh man, we still have the metro tickets for next time?

Speaker 1

yes, because someone else's exhibits coming. But yes, anyway, going ahead of that but it was, uh, it was.

Speaker 2

The lady. The conductor right told us this. This is a matinee, so there's gonna be a lot of people on the train oh, yeah, yeah, yeah and also, I think the schools in connecticut were on spring break.

Speaker 1

Yeah so hopefully it's not as bad when we go for the other yeah, it shouldn't be, because I don't think there's any spring breaks happening and it's before school gets out.

Speaker 2

So yes, but when we got to the exhibit omg that displays.

Speaker 1

It was oh awesome. Oh well, you know. Yeah, we first you walk in and people greet you. We got a photo card, yep, which they were saying. You know that, um, there was a special gift for people who came while supplies last. Okay, luckily we got that. Okay, you got to pick your own. You didn't get to see them, but you got six you got to choose from and we managed to get different cards like a blind box it's like when you buy a blind box and you don't know which figure right.

Speaker 2

Yeah, exactly it was like that for the photo cards and we got different ones which was oh, they still look good. I don't think any, any card that you would have picked.

Speaker 1

It would have been just I don't think there was a bad one, right?

Speaker 2

No, come on no, the displays in front of the building. That's what I wanted to see.

Speaker 1

Oh, the big posters Before we got in.

Speaker 2

Yeah, yeah, I'm like wow, which you know, clean the windows please.

Jungkook's Golden Moments Exhibition Experience

Speaker 1

Yeah, before the next exhibit. But it's hard.

Speaker 2

It's the city you know, you know Somebody can be out there and be just mapping a bucket. Hey, I can do it. I'll do it for you. If I get to see the exhibit many times, I'll do what.

Speaker 1

I want.

Speaker 2

But it was very well catered.

Speaker 1

I mean the way that it was curated, oh yeah, well, you had velvet curtains that you went through each section Love that, because that just it gave me the sense of surprise, of like, oh, you know. Yeah, what's next? Yeah, what's behind the curtain?

Speaker 2

Exactly and actually when we started the exhibit, when we got from the dark room with the lights that looks like a discotheque.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, and then went to another one that it was about.

Speaker 2

You know all his achievements and awards and whatnot. The third room that we went in, the walls of photos that out. I remember going, we were, we were in it and I don't know. Both of us were like oh my god, and behind those was the curator of the exhibit and he's like oh my god thank you for coming.

Speaker 1

I'm glad you're enjoying it because we were like, oh my god, this is amazing.

Speaker 2

Yeah, we're giving our expression was. I mean, that's what I was saying every time. I was just saying it. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.

Speaker 1

That's all I'm saying, because this oh, but I think we had said like, like it's beautiful or it's amazing. It was something we said that the guy was like oh, oh, I'm glad you like it, thank you for coming. And him and two other guys were like yeah, thanks for coming.

Speaker 2

We're like well, that's awesome.

Speaker 1

Hey, maybe our feedback is like oh, let's do another one.

Speaker 2

We'll do Jimin. We'll do the Jimin exhibit. Oh my God, but that will be another one that is just got announced.

Speaker 1

The Jimin exhibit Just got announced. Tickets go on sale soon.

Speaker 2

So, if you are going to see the Jungkook, golden memories, right, golden moments, golden moments and memories there are golden memories, they are. Take your time, take your time, take your time. Oh yeah, definitely, because we saw some people. They just like walk, look real quick and left.

Speaker 1

We're like really, well, we were, because we were the only ones in there for a few minutes and then some people caught up to us and they passed us. We're like, okay, well, we're still enjoying the photos, enjoying there's costumes on exhibit, they have videos playing behind the scenes stuff and the videos that he actually made for the album, right. But we had several groups of people sort of like just go by us. I was like what are they doing Exactly? Are they looking at anything?

Speaker 1

I don't know what they're doing Exactly, but we were taking our time because they told us we could, exactly, and I think it was supposed to be like a timed thing. You have an hour, you know, when you go in at your you, you pick an allotted time, right, and they say it's about an hour to do the exhibit. So you have an hour before they're sort of gonna let the next wave in, right, I think, because it was midweek, they weren't really rushing anybody, it wasn't right. There were people, there were a lot of people, but it wasn't packed the way.

Speaker 2

I bet the weekend right, probably outrageous oh no, the the beginning four days of the exhibit. Oh yeah, there were lines outside lines, because I saw the reels and I'm like, oh my god, is that what we're gonna expect?

Speaker 1

but no one we got. That's what I was thinking. Too right, I was like because I've been seeing these reels on the block of rows, of rows of people waiting to get in.

Speaker 2

You know, because so, and I'm like man, okay, I guess we're gonna be out there, and I'm like okay it is why is it empty? But that even the big guy um one of the staff members were outside. They're like are you here for the exhibit? We're like yeah, well you can come in now it wasn't even two o'clock yet, which it was, our tickets, right right.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it was a little before too, but he was like come on in, we are not gonna argue, they're like okay, let's go in.

Speaker 2

And yeah, we're like, oh my god, this is awesome. It's like hardly anybody was, just the two of us in one room. You know one exhibit. And we're like, oh my God, this is awesome. It's like hardly anybody, it was just the two of us in one room. You know one exhibit. And we're like taking our time and whatnot. You know the people were there. Oh yeah, no videos. You can take a picture.

Speaker 1

You can take pictures.

Speaker 2

They were telling us no videos, but you can take a picture. So I'm just taking pictures of the clan.

Speaker 1

The two of us are like.

Speaker 2

We, we can probably make a video from all the screenshots that we took, you know right yeah, we can probably do that.

Speaker 1

That'd be amazing, but it was. It was just. It was very well staged and put together. You know there have been other things like this that people were like it's kind of scant, they didn't have. This is chock full of stuff, like every outfit he wore for videos for the performances he did on, you know, talk shows and stuff. Yeah, uh, next to you, outfits and video was there. Um, what are the ones?

Speaker 2

um, oh the song I hate you, or?

Speaker 1

hate you um, which is the one?

Speaker 2

you listen and he's oh my god, that one. I wasn't gonna bother crying, I know, oh my god, this is just his voice yeah, it was singing the vocals oh my god, I'm like, okay, I gotta get out of here, I can't stay here and I'm gonna cry.

Speaker 2

I don't what's next, because this is like, oh my heart, that was awesome, but yeah, it was. Oh, I want to think of another song, uh, that also you can see the exhibit for. So I know, next to you is there, um, I know they have the outfits of film awards that he picked up on the red carpet they had like all the outfits from the 3d video, yes, from the 7 video, so video.

Speaker 1

So that's what I mean. It was like every promo thing he did, every talk show he did, they had the outfits from his appearances everywhere. So it was really really cool to just stand there right in front of these outfits that you saw on stage or saw on videos everywhere. I like the tangible things like that, you know, because the video screen showing stuff and like that's all fine and the still photos of him are beautiful, of course, but like seeing those outfits and just being like wow, it's right here in front of me and I'm like he's so tiny.

Speaker 2

I know people will say, well, that's just clothing that he just wore. And I'm like that's the thing, it's clothing that he wore. It has his energy, it has his sweat, no, not his scent.

Speaker 1

Hopefully, but I mean, it's his energy.

Speaker 2

Everything that he gave, all the dances, all the mishap, all the, everything you know, laugh and whatever. And it's all that energy in the piece of fabric.

Speaker 1

Right.

Speaker 2

So you feel it, you just like look at the picture and you look at the outfit, You're like wow, that's awesome. You know it's awesome.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that's all you know. It's awesome. Yeah, that's that's him. That's him because you know I'm sure he had some say in what, how he wanted things to look. So you know, this was, of course, his vision, his expression of, you know, the music and how he was feeling at the time. Yeah, so it was just incredible, yeah oh and there was a little room you could write a message. You know, I don't know if they're gonna like. By the time we were there, you trying to find anywhere to write anything was insane.

Speaker 2

But yeah, it was like I had to like sit on the floor I was sitting on the floor like almost all hunched over, just to say I'm proud of you. I'm proud of you, jk. Oh my goodness, because I am, I'm proud of you. I saw this boy grow up.

Speaker 1

Oh my.

Speaker 2

God. Look at him now, Jeez time flies, it was just.

Speaker 1

If you get the chance to go check it out, it's definitely worth it. It's amazing, just beautiful, beautiful setup. And so, as we were saying now the Jimin, the truth untold behind the scenes, stuff from his. You know, I don't know if it's going to be set up exactly the same kind of way, if it's going to be costume and stuff, but I guess the exhibit is or was already in um seoul, okay, and they're bringing it on the road and it's going to be at the same place, down on wall street. So hopefully they're going to be bringing everybody's, because j hope they just started an exhibit for him in seoul, so maybe that'll come over.

Speaker 1

Nice, yeah, you know, I well, I told you I, nice, they, uh, the group that organized the exhibit right sent a little thing. Do you want to leave feedback? I was like, oh sure, you know, so I did and I said please bring more artists, exhibits like this to the area. And 10 minutes later, the j-hope announcement of starting in seoul his exhibit in seoul. I was like wow, and then now, a few days later, they're bringing jimmin's over.

Speaker 2

So that's awesome manifestation with sarah over here I'm like bring all of that.

Speaker 1

We want to see all their stuff oh my god.

Looking Forward to Future Exhibits

Speaker 2

You know this will be like the closest we can get home. I know right, I was next to his clothing that he wore for whatever video and all the pictures I've taken, you know, that's why I went crazy taking pictures of all their outfits, because it's like, you know, your energy is here. You're here Not physically, but you're here yeah, exactly I know people's like oh my god, yeah, there's the cray cray mind of mine. Yes, it's my cray cray mind.

Speaker 1

So what, that's the kind of fans we are, though. We're like, oh, you can just see the vibe and what was going on and you can just feel there and oh, yeah, it's we talk like that.

Speaker 2

That's when people are like oh my god, no, no, don't listen, they're cray cray we are a little, but you know, hey, whatever but we can't wait go see the boys yes, that's the only way we can really see the boys.

Speaker 1

Well, since, since we can't be sure we'll be able to get tickets to any of the concerts, I'm like I don't really want to get my hopes up like yes, this I'm gonna get them.

Speaker 2

You're not gonna be positive, I'm gonna get them. I'm like I don't know the whole residency. You know idea it's. You know a like by bat bunny they should do a residency in seoul for maybe 30 days dates. You know idea it's. You know a like by bat bunny they should do a residency in seoul for maybe 30 days dates. You know, yeah, money has it for 30 dates. So if they want to make you know 60 dates in seoul for the boys, why not?

Speaker 1

well, we already said they should come here to do it in vegas, but I guess they should start in their home, yeah, their hometown, and also Quote unquote, hometown.

Speaker 2

Do like a 90 date residency in Vegas. Keep them for half a year maybe.

Speaker 1

Yeah, because then I'd definitely find a way to get out there for that.

Speaker 2

Exactly, you know, I want say vegas is very neutral so come on so we're putting it out there, do one for their home. You know their home country well because um, the weavers in general.

Speaker 1

They're doing their weavers con and they have that. What are they could? Resort area with theme park? They already have that that they're using for shows they do. Now the boys could just take that over.

Speaker 2

Well, it has a casino, so it could be their residency, right, yeah. You know, they can have their 30 or 60 days date residency there and they head over to US vegas and stay there for half a year you know yeah not, not a new idea for us.

Speaker 1

We we've been, we've had this in our little brains. We have been visualizing and thinking of things that when the guys come back for their tour that it should not just be a few days it should be more like six days in the us or a week, in one day, week and you know because this, come on, you can do it yeah, I mean, but it's a lot for them. Yeah, I know it's a lot of work but it's also yeah, yeah. But yes, Come here.

Speaker 2

I'm being selfish, but you know we couldn't go to the last concert yeah, bitter about that. We couldn't go see J-Hope yeah, we're bitter about that. So also Jungkook we couldn't. Yeah, yeah, we're bitter about that. Another one that I'm really bitter about is that on the Suga concert, everybody sang and we were there. Remember that was in Korea. Did he do that in Korea, when he brought every member to do their own thing? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1

That was the final dates in seoul when he brought yeah, jimin jungkook and uh rm yeah but jin and j-hope were in the audience one night because they had time off from military service so so you know, yeah, I'm bitter about that. So okay, Well, we'll see if we have to be bitter about Jin too, Because I'm going to try and get tickets.

Speaker 2

Let's see what the universe has for us, my friend, let's see, you know, we put it out there and whatever we get to see Jungkook, you know, expo, yeah, the spirit of Jungkook, we can go see J-Hope, that's okay, uh, maybe j-hope universe has something even better with j-hope. Let's see. Yeah, exactly all right, how long will we have now?

Speaker 1

what? Where are we at yeah?

Speaker 2

uh, about 50 minutes. Oh, okay, I know we have so much to talk about. We'll get to more because all the things has happened and is like oh my goodness, but I want to discuss it with sarah before we even talk about it all right, all right, cool, so we can end this rants and ramblings this rants and ramblings is done for now.

Speaker 1

We'll move on to some new stuff.

Speaker 2

Yes, everything should be back to normal.

Speaker 1

We're trying to catch up on the things we missed, because the universe was against us for a little while there.

Speaker 2

I think you know. I'm just saying that the universe already knew that I was going to get a car this year. And I think the universe said you are dragging your ass on this. Let me help you out. Exactly, you're not listening. It's like you know a really stern parent. You're not listening to me. Okay, now this is gonna happen. It's like hitting you. That's what I felt. Then you hit me and it hurt anyways. So, yes, but I think it was the rebirth for my new car, yeah, which?

Speaker 2

I was like oh, I kind of liking this all right, so thank you everybody for listening to this comeback of Ransom Emily.

Speaker 1

Not having to listen to a year-old episode that we'd never heard that was funny.

Speaker 2

I'm like we're only thinking of ice cream, like what the hell.

Speaker 1

I know it was like we spent almost half that episode talking about ice cream.

Speaker 2

That's why we didn't release it. She was like we only talked about ice cream. There was hardly anything about music, Only Nino.

Speaker 1

Well, you know, I think that was the day we were experimenting with the, drinking a little bit of sake before we started, oh see what happens, and we were so unfocused. Oh my God, oh man, anyway, so please rate, review and Share, share, share, give us five stars because we love our constellations and please become a subscriber so we can maintain the podcast.

Speaker 2

It's not going to go towards my car For real, it's just only podcast. So until next time, bye-bye, bye-bye.
