You ever see a “3 a.m. merch line” post and feel your blood pressure spike? That’s where we start, because the BTS tour has turned basic concert errands into a full-on endurance event. We talk about what’s happening at Stanford Stadium, why thousands of fans are lining up overnight, and how that kind of crowd energy spreads fast across TikTok, Instagram, and X, especially for anyone with concert anxiety or transportation worries.

From there, we zoom out into the real mechanics of stadium shows: parking windows, gate timing, traffic flow, staffing, ADA access, and what happens when a venue underestimates how many people show up early for freebies, meetups, and community hangouts. We compare stories from other cities, including delayed entry and seating headaches, and we shout out Stanford’s “Know Before You Go” approach as the kind of clear planning every stop should copy, especially with upcoming shows at places like Gillette Stadium.

Then we get blunt about ticket resale scams and clickbait. We break down a headline claiming BTS tickets are “dropping,” the SeatGeek affiliate fine print, and the reality of “as low as” pricing that doesn’t match what fans actually see on the map. Our message is simple: stop feeding scalpers, protect your budget, and use legit options like face-value exchanges, livestreams, or theater screenings when you need a safer alternative.

If you’re feeling the hype and the stress at the same time, hit play, then subscribe, share the episode with your concert group chat, and leave us a review. What’s your number one rule for surviving a huge stadium show?

Welcome And The Stanford Panic

SPEAKER_00

Hello everybody, welcome to Music Elixir with me, Satter She and Miss DJ Panic.

SPEAKER_01

And Sarah is flared up. We're looking at something, and then she's just like, damn, BS! And I'm like, hold it, hold it. You gotta leave that for the for the episode. Stop it.

SPEAKER_00

Just start right now. Oh, wait, they're taking away my seat. Well, we can uh where how should we where should we start with what this is all stemming from?

Overnight Merch Lines And Why

SPEAKER_01

Okay, this is a ransom rambling, and this is gonna be mainly for BTS concert that is currently happening today. We're recording on May 16th. And so we're gonna be talking about Stanford in California. Yes. Um, so Army have been, of course, lining up for merch since Friday. Uh, of course, you can see on X Twitter, there's plenty of posts, not just only from fans, but the news of how long the lines are for Friday.

SPEAKER_00

I know. Well, like you, it was all over Instagram, it's all over TikTok, it's all over Twitter. I mean, people are like definitely talking about this.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I was I was surprised too.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like lining up the day before.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And it's just like rows and rows of people. It's just thousands, thousands of people. And I'm like, this is just day one. Uh what?

SPEAKER_00

And that's that's not the because did they have um like a pre-sale day?

SPEAKER_01

The like well, that's the thing. Weavers will tell you, hey, right. You did pre- you know, this is like the day you go, and then you yell.

SPEAKER_00

So these are these are the people who didn't have VIP or the Weaver's pre-buying, like pickup stuff. Well, it had to be because the the one I saw, she's like, it's 3 a.m. and here we are, and the lines are a huge. And she was talking to people who'd been there since 9 30 p.m. last night. So that's that would be for today's show that's happening in a few hours.

SPEAKER_01

Is that meaning today? They're not yesterday, Friday for merch?

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, last Friday, Friday night of 9 30. So there was no show yesterday. Nope. And I mean, most places the the merch tents that are set up are only from like 10 to 6, anyways. So this means people were lining up for today's concert merch sales at 9 30 at night last night. Like that's insane. That is insane. And and the fact that like the venue allowed that to happen. Wow, that's kind of crazy too. But yeah, I'm like flabbercasted. Yeah. Because we were good showing up at 3 a.m. and she's like, there's already like 2,000 people here.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, no way. 24 hours before they even open. That's pretty or either 12.

SPEAKER_00

No, 12 hours before the butt you know, people are probably there 24 hours before they open.

SPEAKER_01

That's true. There are that, you know, we know that type of fan.

SPEAKER_00

That's true. That's very true.

SPEAKER_01

Hello, there's some that KCOM they're like lining up a week before.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, we've talked about that too.

SPEAKER_01

That was streets of LA because yeah, they wanted to be right up front to see their faves, you all ripe. So yeah, we're yeah, we're looking at this and we're like, uh, why are you doing this? It's uh wow. So I'm just thinking, will the pre-sale sell that quickly that people just might as well just go and I don't know. I don't know either. This is crazy. It is, unless these callpers trying to get money from merch.

SPEAKER_00

Well, exactly. Like, are they checking if you actually have tickets to the show?

SPEAKER_01

That was a good question. To be in line. That's a good question.

SPEAKER_00

Because like look at what you know, look what happened in Mexico. They were saying like these people just came in and took they stole merch. Merch, basically, yeah, that you know was online the next day for four times, five times the price. So it's like it's we it's like every every show things start to get a little more like extreme. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

The more the the the concert is getting to to like later old old, you know, it's getting more frantic.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Hello, us. It's ours is in August, and they have all those shows that are going before us. They're going they're going back to Korea and then the no Vegas, then going back to Korea, and um then they're gonna be in Europe. We're like, what's gonna happen to us? Um but I'm hoping it's like all the hype happens done, and then us will be okay. Us will be okay. Us will be okay, it will be okay.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you know, because maybe yeah, after they've been out off somewhere else for a couple of months, things will calm down. Who knows? I don't know. It just it's uh it's crazy, it's like mania, it's insane. And we're we're getting sort of caught up in it. Like all the anxiety that I didn't realize I had about like when Sarah gets like how am I gonna get my how about this?

Anxiety Spiral And Media Chaos

SPEAKER_01

And and then then but in the parking and the train. I don't know how that train, I don't drop that damn train, then I'm gonna have that. I'm like, I'm like, and I said to her, breathe, and she goes, huh? And I'm like, no, do a proper breathing because your anxiety is I can feel it. You need to chill. Well, this no, we're seeing this, and this is the problem with the media. They always give you the like chaos, and then this is what's transferring to us.

SPEAKER_00

Well, no, but my my anxiety was even before any of this meeting the concerts hadn't even started, and I was thinking about that just because I mean I have my own anxieties about certain things, anyways. Yeah. Public transportation happens to be one of them. Girl. But like I was reading how it all worked for things that aren't even a big event like this. Like, I think a lot of these venues and and cities and stuff really sort of underestimate how huge this is. Like, they really don't get the scope of what's happening.

SPEAKER_01

I'm glad that you're talking about it. Now, we do gotta remember that Taylor Swift did actually uh had a concert at Gillette Stadium. I know some of the um Tay-Tays were like unhappy of things that were not well handled because they didn't know her magnetism and how big the fandom is. I am hoping that Gillette has learned from that past event and also FIFA because they did a dry run with FIFA doing it. That they're taking those errors and fixing it when it comes to BTS.

SPEAKER_00

Well, cause like, so here's an example, right? I was telling you, some of the people in Tampa like went to get to their seats and they were like, they were covered in tarps, and we were told we had no seats here. They had to report to whatever the help desk and they were given new tickets or new spots somewhere else in the stadium. So that's that's messed up, right? That's messed up. El Paso, the first night, the concert was delayed like at least an hour because they were still trying to get people in the stadium. I'm like, how do you not realize PTSD monster X to me? That happened to me, right? Monster X. Right? This happens to a lot of places. Like if your show starts at eight, you can't open the doors at seven and think you're gonna get 60,000 people in there in time. You just can't. Like, so that's what I mean. All these places are not, they're underestimating how intense this is. And like, you know, so like my whole thing, like I want merch. I love my merch. I do. Yeah. I'm like, why am I but why am I having anxiety about it? Because, you know, if I don't get a t-shirt, I don't get a t-shirt, crap happens. But like I do want it. And I'm like, like I'm thinking when we went and saw them in 2019, the lines were huge, but it was it did work smoothly. It did. So I'm like, maybe, hopefully, this is how it'll be. But you hear about all these places where everything's selling out, and I'm like, a limit of one shirt and they're still selling out in you know the first hour of the stand being open. How is that happening? And I know they're not gonna have 60,000 of every item in case everybody wants to buy every item, but like some of these stories we're seeing and and hearing about, I'm like, how do you run out of merch after an hour of being open? And I know they hold it till the next day because we saw that with Jin. Yeah, we got there late the first day, so we there wasn't a whole lot to pick from, but we got there early the next day and we got everything we wanted.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So it's like, you know, of course, they're not gonna put everything out the very first day, but it's like this is what everybody's having stress and anxiety about, myself included. I'm like, but I want that shirt. So I need to be there to get that shirt. But then, like, I'm also like, I'm sorry, I'm not camping out overnight in a line to get a t-shirt. So it's like I'm very torn.

SPEAKER_01

I'm very like, uh, what do I gotta do? So you did make a point that people that should be online uh for merch should be showing the ticket.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Instead of just like anybody just goes in there just to buy merch and maybe just sell it online because you know it's BTS. That's another way of scalping.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's because that was something like just like with the tickets for the shows. One a friend of ours, a mutual of ours, she went to one of the shows in Tampa, and like the day after she posted a thing, and she's like, This is what rips me about some people. They like, I bought the wrong size shirt, I'm gonna resell it for$250. Girl, you spent$60. It was a$60 shirt or maybe$75 shirt at the venue, and you're selling it for$250 because you bought the wrong size. Bull Twinkies. So our our friend was very upset about that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no. Ah, please, me too. Because it's like the real fans are the one getting screwed over by somebody like that.

Venues Underestimate Crowd Logistics

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm. Exactly. So I just I thought it was funny because she's also like BTS is way out of her like normal realm of music. So I found it very funny that she was going and that now she's like indignant about the prices, and she's like, How dare people do this? I'm like, that's so awesome though. I'm I'm glad like that she is being this way, though, you know. She's like, Yep. Oh, there's some bad, bad people out there.

SPEAKER_01

I found on X Twitter this was actually posted by the uh the venue, Stanford. Oh, okay. Um so their ex Twitter is go Stanford. Um so it was posted on May 12th, and it says it's officially BTS week on the farm. Well, I guess that's the name of whatever. Uh for the latest info on merch parking show showtime lines. Oh no, show time lines, yeah. And more frequent asked questions. Visit and then they put their their the thing. But there's a big graphic that says no before you go. BTS of Stanford Stadium, May 16th, 17, and 19. 8 a.m. Designated early parking lot open at 9 a.m. External merchandise locations and trailers open. 9 30 a.m. uh VIP Nation check in starts. 1 30 p.m. all event parking lot open. 2 p.m. box office open. 4 30 p.m. gates open. 7 p.m. concert starts.

SPEAKER_00

Oh not eight? A lot of places it's not starting till eight. This is from the actual ex Twitter. Oh yeah. No, here it is on the where I am looking at Okay. And they give it a couple of things. You don't say seven. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So see, but I bet they learned. And that's one thing though. Most of the venues have been setting up some like telling you a week ahead. Right. I mean, I I know they've only done three cities so far, but well, here they've done three cities. I don't know what happened in Tokyo and and uh Seoul, but for here it comes from like Japan and Korea, they're they're well organized, yes.

SPEAKER_01

Organized, interbehaved. You know, it's over here we're just we're the West. We're just like, you know, free for all. Yeah. It's just like you don't tell me what to do.

SPEAKER_00

But that's but what's funny, right, is because like Tampa did, they about a week in advance, they started talking about parking and and how things were gonna work, but the hours were less. It was ten to six. So now people are they're extending hours, they're opening doors earlier. So please, please, Gillette, listen to what Stanford's doing. Yes. Have the all those lines open early, allow early parking, because so far still they're like parking starts four hours before the event. But like there's a lot more, a lot more things go on with these concerts than just people showing up to go to the show.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like people hang out and do freebies, people like groups gather, you know, for from mutual groups meeting online and you want to meet other army and friends and whatnot.

SPEAKER_01

You have actual like group of fandoms together from like whatever city they're coming from, you know? Like we have our Western Mass, my you know, people who are in Boston, you know. We have Boston Army, hey, yay, and well, Providence Army, Connecticut Army.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you have all the people coming from Rhode Island, Connecticut. I'm giving cities and states all randomly. It's true.

SPEAKER_01

You've got Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire. Remember for Jin, there was a large group of people. It looked like they came from like a church. They were all wearing the same tuna t-shirt. And I was like, there's a lot of people with that shirt because it's like a whole big community. They just gather all up. Who knows? They probably like rented buses just to come. And the same thing's gonna happen with BTS. There's gonna be communities that they're gonna be traveling far and wide just to come to this one because it's the closest. And there's droves, buses, trains, well, not just that airplanes.

SPEAKER_00

Look at what happened when we went to sugar. We were in line with people from Europe, yeah, from the west coast, from Mexico.

SPEAKER_01

I mean There were people who just got there from the airport, yeah, and they had their big old luggage. And it's like, really?

SPEAKER_00

You know, and even we had we drove down because this is New York, not Massachusetts. We were like, we gotta travel to do this. Yeah, that was fairly minimal, but this is you know, now you're talking like, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

BTS gonna be people royalty, yeah. They are music royalty, and they they should if they do the same thing with royals where they're like close shutting down, whatever, you know, you know, traffic or roads, and you need to do the same thing with BTS.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there's gonna and there's gonna be people traveling from all over to come to our little Foxboro Gillette Stadium out in the middle of nowhere. I feel uh it's got a lot more around it than it used to.

SPEAKER_01

I don't feel bad for the people who live in Foxboro because if you know you live next to Gillette Stadium because you also have the big sport events, hey, and I know they're always complaining, and and I'm like, I think you need to move because Gillette's not gonna move.

SPEAKER_00

No, and in fact, it it got bigger because back when it was just Foxboro Stadium, it was smaller and there was nothing else around it. Like the the whole Patriot place and all of that stuff, that's new ish. Yeah, because the last time I went to a concert at Gillette, none of that was there. It's basically it was a big field in this big stadium plunked in the middle of it. You know, all right, not quite a field, but you know, right. I mean, it is a main highway, but there was not as much built up around it as there is now. So I guess if you lived there 50 years ago, it wasn't as bad. I don't but you know, we don't know when the building was built anyways. But it's big. It's well, and it's gotten bigger because they renovated and reconstructed and made it bigger. But yeah, I mean, at this point in time, it's been there long enough that anyone who lives around it knows that you just anytime there's events, you're gonna take the week off because you're not gonna be able to get in and out of your house.

SPEAKER_01

No, but I mean they are getting better for their community that they're just saying they have actually spots where like local traffic only. Yeah. There is an actual police presence and say, where's your driver's license? See if you live in this community. I've seen that because uh Boston actually, uh one of their news channels, uh, because they were doing the whole FIFA thing, and of course, people are trying to get into it, so what they're doing is going through the communities, but the police department in in there, they're like, no, we are gonna be keeping our communities safe and only give access for those who live in those addresses. So that's good.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, because they're gonna be like these roads that normally cut over are not cutting over. Exactly. So if you won't be able to get where you want to go.

SPEAKER_01

So you can't get there from here. Be aware, whoever's driving over there, do not cut in to those communities. You will be rerouted.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. Yeah, don't use your GPS to try and find shortcuts because it's not gonna No.

SPEAKER_01

You stay if you're gonna be staying standing up for whatever you're doing, you stay on that line. The same thing with traffic. If traffic is telling you this is the only road to go here, you're gonna take that road to go there. All right. Do not piss off the poor people who live in the in you know, I you know, it's I'm thinking if the rent is cheap there, I will go and live there. But, you know, respect because there's a lot of there's there's people live there. People live there. It's not just a big field, but just only that.

Stanford Know Before You Go Tips

SPEAKER_00

Right. Yeah, no, it's neighborhoods and commun well a lot built up around it too. So I'm no one of my concert buddies, she used to live there, live near there. She was like, there were certain times where I'd be like, call out work, or you know, before the days of remote working, she was like, I'd just be like, I'm never gonna make it into the office, so I'm gonna take the day off, you know.

SPEAKER_01

So um Patriots game, forget it. I'm not leaving the house. So I'm glad that uh Wall Stanford Stadium have website and quick links for things that you need to be prepared for today's show and tomorrow and the 19th, I think. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

So oh because they were one of the places that got an added show.

SPEAKER_01

This is cool. They have a map for pre-show traffic flow. Ah nice. So of course I'm not I don't know the area, so uh I don't know, but I mean check that out. They also have a post-traffic map.

SPEAKER_00

Nice. Oh well the what's it? The one that used it used to be Great Woods, I don't know what it is now. They do that. There's like during the show, there's only one way in, and after the show, there's only one way out. Yep. They take the whole road, both lanes, and it's all one direction. Like, do you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. No, okay. It's a four-laner, meaning two, two on the left, two on the right. But what I do remember, they took the extra lane, block it off to just make it a one-laner, for so there's three lanes to get out. Right. And instead of just only one lane to turn, there's two. I remember that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. So they basically though, because well, you wouldn't want to try driving through there anyway. When a concert gets out, you're like, I will drive across the state to avoid being near this place.

SPEAKER_01

So the good one about that one, if Endosa has a community, it's really far off. And by the time the concert's over, you're hoping everybody's home. Yeah. Then you don't have to go anywhere. You'll be cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Uh so oh, they also putting up the road closures and also information for people who are um ADA um assistant, you know, uh yeah, ADA.

SPEAKER_00

Dis disabilities, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. So uh that's cool. There's a of course always a designated area for those folks. And uh yeah, no, this is cool. Oh, they even have a light, what about the lights? BTS official lysticks along with necessary batteries are permitted. Lysticks will be available for purchase on site. Uh V3 lysticks will work for the shows at the Stanford Stadium. Oh really? Yeah. Did they cut the shit with that? Well, I'm not sure. No, because uh When was supposed to be the uh date you cannot use your V3. I don't remember.

SPEAKER_00

Was it was it through June?

SPEAKER_01

I thought it was maybe through June that I don't know because everybody was frantic to get a new one.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It wasn't until the end of April.

SPEAKER_00

Because a lot of the dates, especially here, were happening August and later. That's why everybody was trying to get it.

SPEAKER_01

I thought it was until April. Or the end of May.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. Yeah, but we're not at the end of May yet.

SPEAKER_01

So but I'm not sure. Because they didn't realize it was gonna be like, oh shit, we don't have enough for everybody. I'm like, of course not. Especially when you tell somebody, no, no, no, no, the new one. I'm like, what? What? You need a what? I will eventually buy the new one. I don't have, I can't. I will buy it at the concert. I will still bring my old one because you know.

Light Stick Rules And Supply Fears

Misleading Headlines About Cheap Tickets

SPEAKER_00

Just in case, yeah. Because what about if they sell out? And I'll be like Well, people have been saying that's the um the one thing that hasn't sold out is light sticks. So it's sort of like they if you didn't get it on the Wii verse right away or at Target for the limited time, the rest they've just packed up and are taken on tour with them. Okay. But anyway, so what started this whole rant was uh actually an article you found about Stanford in their their show, right? They're talking about um ticket prices dropping and finding seats cheap because I don't know, we maybe we shouldn't mention the names of the places involved. Why not? Well, I don't know. So the New York Post. Okay, there you go. Well, I was like, I don't wanna, you know, stir up trouble.

SPEAKER_01

I will be stirring up trouble because this is BS. How can you be putting a headline like that? Because they're pretty much catch fishing, I don't know, or fishing, fishing, yeah, to click on the link on on this article. So the New York Post have actually tweeted ticket prices are dropping to CBTS at Stanford Stadium. Buy yours now, and then they give you a link. And we're like, of course we're gonna go in there and check what's what the heck is going on.

SPEAKER_00

Also, because they they have a little disclaimer on there how after you click that link, they don't put it there.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, well, once you're in the article, yes, what you're in the article, then the disclaimers are very tiny telling you about this. This is funny because now I'm reading the comments of the people here. What on the uh okay, you know, we were saying we're not gonna be reading some of these comments, but you know what? I'm gonna read the comments, you know, complaining on the whatever tweet that was made. But do you have the article? Yeah. Read the clause from that article. Read the cloth of that article.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay. SeatGeek is the official music concert ticketing partner of the New York Post. We may receive revenue from this partnership for sharing this content, andor when you make a purchase. Featured pricing is subject to change. So, anyways, yeah, there you go. So that's the the big thing. And they're saying how the prices are dropping and seats as low as 128. So I was like, all right, let's go check this out. We're nowhere near Stanford. I am not buying actual tickets. But I went to look. BS. The cheapest seats are 167, and they are way in the back, like the double alphabet letters in the furthest section from the nosebleeds.

SPEAKER_01

The action that really, like literally nosebleeds.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, the the far corner, the very back section, the very back row. Okay, and I mean, alright, no, it's not total BS. 167 is sort of been like the going rate. But like you can't say there's$128 tickets when there is not a single like you're looking at the map, there's not a single one for$120. Not a single one. So, you know, and most of them are way more than that. Like a lot more. But this was we talked about this though when when tickets um first went on sale, and we had gotten ours, and I was like, just for fun, I checked a couple of other sites where they said, you know,$200 tickets, blah, blah, blah. But the minute you get into these places, there are no$200 tickets. And I mean, all right,$128 to$167, it's not a huge jump, but if you're buying four tickets, that's an extra$120 or$160 you weren't looking at, you know. But like, like the same thing. I was like, they're saying you can get cheap seats here, and like I didn't find a single one for less than like$800 on one of the sites.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, no, you know, so I'm reading a comment from one of the posts because I'm because this this one is really good. I'm not saying who it is, but it's it goes. You mean the resale tickets the scalpers are reselling at 10 times the price? Yeah, no, army are not buying, we're not idiots, and we're tired of people taking advantage of this fandom and BTS. Army, don't fall for it, stay strong, and don't buy no matter what rage bait title they use. It is rage bait because you're like, I know, you know, because we're like, hey, what? Yeah, no, and then you found out, no, there's no whatever price they're just saying on their stupid ass post.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, maybe there were$128 tickets when they first put the article up, but I don't think so. Cause like I said, every time I've ever seen these things, cheap seats, there there were no cheap seats. And even some of these, I don't know what this means. Like, you know, you s generally when you go into say Ticketmaster, you see standard seat, which means that's the original pricing, whatever. And then there's the resell, and then there's the whatever this some of these say sponsored, and I don't know what that means. Oh no. Unless those are the ones that like if you buy these, they're the ones that yeah, you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or New York, sorry, New York Post.

SPEAKER_01

The New York Post, not time post, the New York Post. Yeah. Um if they're sponsored, if this is the one that they're getting a cut from, that's why they pulled that clause. Yeah, you buy this one, and then hey, hey, we get some money.

SPEAKER_00

So you know, and there's weird things, you know, last tickets, hidden gem. I'm like, do I click on it? What does that mean?

SPEAKER_01

No, rage big girl, no, don't be clicking on that fishing. That's how you get, you know, messed up. Oh man. I have a fan over here saying, fans, don't buy from resellers. Do not buy from resellers because we find what the encouraged encouragement disc. Oh, okay. I don't know. It's just like it was fun, and then all of a sudden they're just like they got so excited they lost their they got mad. Yeah, I got mad too. I will get mad.

SPEAKER_00

So this one, let's see. I'm I'm looking at where all of these different things because I did find some that they're cheaper, but they're also in a really like odd-angled spot. That and I mean honestly, with the way the stage is set up, I don't really think that there's gonna be any totally horrible views because you know the guys are moving around, coming out onto the little arms, doing stuff, but it's a lot of money for because I I double checked Gillette and like the same type of seats are although we've got a third tier that they don't have, so maybe that's the difference. So I was like, they're like 113, but that's on the third tier, but they're more central, you know. I don't know. It's hard to say, and that's but again, that's you're talking about resellers, so you don't know, you know. So this okay when you click on it, the price changes sometimes too.

SPEAKER_01

So now that we have seen this, it looks like people are really caring less about Seat Geek and maybe other reselling. I mean, we're talking about only SeatGeek because this is what the New York Post posted, and they're working with them. So it means there's so many tickets they have for reselling that they're willing to pay somebody to is like, hey, we try we need to push these tickets, you know. Can you uh do something about it? So I'm um this is a positive thing, meaning that fans are like, cut the shit, we ain't buying this, we're not buying reselling tickets because we know very well that the hundred dollar ticket is not a thousand. No, it this is ridiculous. And I like this lately. Have you seen a lot of the articles saying, Oh, the blue seat syndrome from like Ticketmaster? I'm like, the blue dot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's because of all these seats that are not being selled. And I'm like, yeah, because when your check is maybe it's a resale, and nobody's gonna be buying that. Post Malone cancel, Zion canceled.

SPEAKER_00

A lot of people have canceled, you know, a lot of big name.

Why We Say No To Resellers

SPEAKER_01

I mean, postmalone, come on, canceling shows because uh there's a lot of tickets not being selled because of people wanted to do the resale BS. So now see geek is looking for other people to like, hey, help us out on like selling some of these tickets. And fans are like, no, screw that. We're going out to your website, you're saying that you have tickets for this much money, and then we go in there, it's like, where are they? No, that price is not there. No, I'm not buying for it. Screw that. So if you see BTS that are gonna be on a theater, go to the movie theater. Go to that movie theater, and then you can see it twice because sometimes it will sell, you know, I will do that. Oh, Sarah's giving me a face, you found something.

SPEAKER_00

Well, um I'm looking at our shows. I'm looking at Gillette. Okay, and they've got this fancy little thing that shows you what you're gonna see from where you're buying the tickets. Ooh, okay. Now I can tell you these tickets are more than what we paid.

unknown

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Because this is the resell, this is the the seat geek stuff. Cause I was like, let's see what else they've got. We're gonna have a good view girl. Yes, yes. So yay! Sorry everybody, but I was like, oh wait, where's our section? Let's see. Because there are seats available in our section.

SPEAKER_01

But resale?

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

No, people don't yeah, no, that's what I'm saying. These are these are on SeatGeek, but this is our way to our activism from corporate people or just people who just wants to just your money and just scam you for in your in for enjoyment. They just no, no reselling. I know there have been many concerts that we have tried, and because of this situation, we were not able to go. Yes, it's it's hard as a fan, but we need to stop this reselling. We need to stop these companies from taking advantage of fans. Right now, everything just costs so much. And even there's like people saying, hey, if to go to a concert right now, you gotta be a millionaire because of all the money to go. That's why we're like, we're not doing many shows in New York unless it's something like, you know, Mr. Last Event that they're gonna do before like and that's when we do that, and that even costs before it used to be like that. That's why we only stay in Boston, that's why we stay in Massachusetts or whatever is local, no, you know, that we can't afford. Everything's going up. And of course, if gas goes up, traveling, this tours are it's gonna go up. They gotta haul all that stuff. It's not like they're gonna have already the stuff in that state, they gotta travel with it. The talent has to travel.

SPEAKER_00

They gotta move it all around, you know?

SPEAKER_01

So don't don't go broke. No. No. I mean, and we have seen that BTS have these, you know, concerts, live streams. Go for the live stream, it's not that expensive. It hopefully is in a local theater. All you probably can take just a bus, walk over, whatever, and you're still gonna see the same show. Even better. Because we're like, oh my god, look at that look, and oh my god. I know the vibe. I mean, you're gonna have it's a diff yes, it's a different vibe, but sometimes some of these theaters, it's so jam-packed of fans that it just feels like you are there. Yeah, you know, there's all the ways to see that. I'm glad that the boys are finding other ways to show to all the co army that are not able to attend the show. Yeah, no, definitely. It's so no to resellers, please. Definitely, yeah. No more to resell. Not to if you are to resell your ticket, do like some other countries are doing right now, sell it at face value at the day of the show. No more than that. Korea is one that actually they're just saying no more resale. And if they find somebody reselling tickets for more of the price, you can report them, and apparently you can get a reward for you know getting this people like uh, hey, this one's selling it. You know, you get a reward for those scalpers. Please. Oh my god, I don't know how many times I'm gonna say that. Do not buy from resales. I just had my friend who got obsessed now with BTS and she's like, How is this C Geek? And I'm like, please, I have eyes. No, no, please. I know you really want to see them, but no. And then I explained to her, I know it's your money and you do what you want to do, but please don't buy from these resellers. I know Hive has actually been uh or big hit have retrieved some seats. Yeah. So yeah, okay. I don't know, I don't know. It's just like we're seeing all this and we're getting what's gonna happen. Yeah, I know when it comes to Boston.

SPEAKER_00

Well, like I said, hopefully they're gonna take some tips. Like I hopefully every city's gonna sort of learn from the city before them. Yeah. Because I think, you know, other than the the weird random people's seats not being real seats at Tampa, those first few shows, because it was the first shows, things sort of went smoothly because nobody really knew what to expect. But then everyone anticipating it the next place. Well, the lines were so huge, so we got to get there early. Like it's snowballing into this thing where line taking an extra hour to get into the venue. So hopefully everybody's gonna sort of slowly learn from the city before them and be like, oh, you know what? Maybe we should do this whatever setup before, you know, maybe they'll have start having two days of pre-merch sales. Who knows? But right. But one of the key things is make sure your people who are buying merch are ticket holders.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That would be a huge one because then the people who are actually going to the shows are the ones getting the merch.

SPEAKER_01

Is a great that's a good idea, great idea. If you are a ticket holder, you are able to get the merch. That you should be on that line to get merch. Not just, you know, you know, Tom Dick and Harry wants to buy merch and then resell it for, you know, whatever amount price.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Um, we would like to see that Gillette if you can implement that and put it on your uh before you go to the show, just like Stanford is doing.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I know it will be a new thing and it it it will take some manpower to be like, oh, let me sell your ticket. If you do that and have like a wristband, like they check that you have a ticket, put a wristband on that person.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You know, and then if it's just like, well, I want to be with my friend, I'm like, no, you don't have a ticket, you need to get out. You know, so that at least will I eliminate people who are there just to buy merch to resell.

Practical Fixes For Merch And Entry

SPEAKER_00

Right. Because we've seen that happen, not just what happened down in Mexico City. We've been to shows where we were like, these people are walking away with boxes of merch and there's still a fuck five-mile long line. So which that's one one good thing, yes, yeah, sugar was the show. Um, as disappointing as it is that you can only buy like one of certain types of shirts and whatnot, I d understand why they're doing it. Because, you know, they're trying to keep a supply for the other people. They're trying to, you know, prevent too much reselling of stuff, but there will always be reselling, unfortunately. But the more they can do to sort of tone it down. Yeah. And like, yeah, definitely things to learn. Open lines earlier, have multiple lines, have, you know, like I believe for Stanford they have like four kiosks. Okay. Outside. So see. And I mean, that's also I don't know if that's necessarily up to the venue or up to the promoters and stuff, but maybe the promoters are are learning something too here along the way. But anyway, yeah. There we go. Our rant like every other every other rant and ramble is gonna be like the the latest BTS mania going on.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's because that's what we are right now, you know. That's our pro that's our constant we're concentrating an energy on that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because this is like, you know, it is the biggest anat, you know, tour of the century. The biggest. So it's yeah, we're gonna talk about. I told you that, you know, arirang is still I've been listening. Don't concentrate too much on a song. I'm like, I'm sorry. But it's being ariang, which it has so many moods. Right. You know, it breaks from from me listening to Merry Go Round the whole free kids. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I tell you, it just randomly swim came into my head while we were walking around getting ready for this. I'm like, whip, whip. Where did that come from?

SPEAKER_01

That's what Army's doing right now. Trying to swim for that match.

SPEAKER_00

I know, right? Uh never I've never had this amount of anxiety about getting a t-shirt from a show. I know, girl.

SPEAKER_01

I felt it when you came here, and you're like and she's going like a mile a minute, and I'm like, breathe, Sarah, breathe. She's like, and I'm like, no, not that way. Take a deep breath.

SPEAKER_00

Calm yourself down. Well, like I said, I didn't even have to read comments. It was someone's post. This is 3 a.m. at whatever outside Stanford for merch. And I was like, what?

SPEAKER_01

That trigger you. I said, but you know what? I sometimes think that maybe it's not true. Like, you know, there's always that person out there. They need to exaggerate because, like, oh whoa, Miss Me. I was here at 3 a.m. and I got nothing. Like, is it real or are you just faking it, girl? Yeah, that's or guy or person.

Old School Ticket Memories And Perspective

SPEAKER_00

Well, there was more than one person talking about it. So my god. There was more than one post. Like, maybe they were friends, who knows? But it was like multiple people talking about people camping out, and I mean that's always happened. That's how we used to have to get tickets to shows. Yeah. None of this like camping out on your computer at home to buy the tickets. You had to go sit outside the whatever strawberry records.

SPEAKER_01

Whatever the the vet the box office. Tower records, yeah. Or, you know, whatever other record store that will will have selling tickets.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I remember the people camping out. So I remember those days. Oh man. And you get a paper ticket. I wonder, do you remember when Ticketmaster is like, do not put your ticket on a dashboard or it will clear out? Remember that? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It'll fade out the yes.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my God.

SPEAKER_00

I remember those days. Well, some of my old ticket stubs have are faded. You're like, what was this show? I can barely read it. It's so old. Damn. Yeah. But anyways, yeah, you can you can hear the sort of excitement manic, like anxiety, enjoyment that you know, all of this is bringing. Like, I keep trying to just say to myself, if you don't get a t-shirt, it's not the end of the world. You're there to see the boys. Like, yeah, I have to keep reminding myself. Like, the important thing is to get in this stadium and see them.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

T-shirts are nice, hats, stamps, keychains, whatever. All the merch, it's great, it's awesome, it's good. But what am I really there for? I'm there to see them live perform. So I got just keep that in mind. There, see, there's my breath. All right.

SPEAKER_01

We are there for the boys. Yep. We're there to see our boys. Yes, indeed. Because it's been a long, long time. Pandemic ruined that for us. It's seven years.

SPEAKER_00

Seven years since we saw them, girl. Seven years for our seven boys. We're finally getting back in there.

SPEAKER_01

The universe is on our side. The universe is hearing us.

SPEAKER_00

Gillette is hearing us.

SPEAKER_01

Hi. Hi. Hi, Gillette. We're not doing the Boston accent though, but I know.

SPEAKER_00

And I was gonna say, and anyone you'll see me, Tay Tay copied my hair.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Just so you know.

SPEAKER_01

There's a lot of people who want to have Tay Tay hair, okay?

SPEAKER_00

I know. There's gonna be a lot of people with Tay Tay hair. Just so everybody knows. Well, I'm thinking hair in Mexico, huh? Did he bleach it in Mexico? Yes, right after they went to the water.

SPEAKER_01

Because I was just like, wait a minute. Was he still in Mexico when that happened? Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, just before the show. They they did their little visit thing and then they went to get ready for the show and he bleached it right before that. Wow. But I have had this hair for years. He copied me. I think he saw my profile pick on Weaverse. That's where he got. Okay.

Delulu Break And BTS Glow Up Talk

SPEAKER_01

The Lululu. Welcome to Sarah's Delulu.

SPEAKER_00

The Delulu is huge with me.

SPEAKER_01

Check out her drama.

SPEAKER_00

Act number, I don't know. No, but the minute I saw his hair, I was like, oh my god, that's so awesome. And then I was like, wait a minute, he copied my hair. Well, I have this haircut, and I'm like, Younggi has my hair. And then I'm like, oh, now the RM has my hair. Like, what? Well, remember, what was it? Like three years ago when I had cut my hair real short like that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So it was totally Tay Tay hair. And I swear that's what he saw was that profile pic that I used with that hair.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, Sarah. Tay Tay looked at all the stuff that you do on Instagram. She wants he wants to make sure. He wants to make sure what you're doing. He wants your all your attention.

SPEAKER_00

Well, Jin, Jin, oh my. Have you seen the way Jin's looking? Jin? Girl, that man has girl. I'm like just from last year, he's exponential he's exponentially gotten handsomer. Shoot.

SPEAKER_01

From that tour. Oh my god. I totally like, I'm like, wow, this tour for him is like so different it's like a different Jin. He is so different. So sassy. Oh yeah. So like right now he's just like, oh you're a man. You're a man. I remember when you were a boy. I know, right? You know, and still a boy, but now you're a man. Like a man. And I'm like, oh god, no.

SPEAKER_00

But there've been there have been some pics of him. Like, I'm like, this is just a sound check. And look at how gorgeous he looks. He's like all like you know, wearing frumpy this is, and uh he's got a scarf tying around his head, and he looks gorgeous.

SPEAKER_01

He's like, What can I say? He's of course has evolved to the man he is right now. He just probably like, yeah, this is me. I'm done doing certain things as growing up, you know. I'm evolved. They have all evolved. Oh, yeah, no, everybody's a problem that a lot of old army are like, eh, you had changed. I'm like, yeah, they're not in their teens. Well, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

We talked about the music, we talked about the music and how they had to evolve.

SPEAKER_01

And I am happy that they are evolving in the right way. Yeah, they're evolving the right way. Exactly. I'm like, well, now cookie, well, cookie will be he's in his 20s, he's like, I'm still in my 20s, so I'm just gonna still be a little rebel boy.

SPEAKER_00

You know, because you know, I think when he hits me, but is maybe it's also though, he's the baby brother, he is the baby in the family. Yeah, he's always gonna be a little unhinged? Yeah, a little more rebellious, a little more it'll it will tone down, but he will always be just a little bit more extra than the rest of them because he's the baby. He is the baby. I know he's a 28-year-old baby, but he's still a baby.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, I'm still in my 20s. I'm just like wait, he's gonna be 29 this year? Yeah. Yeah. Wow. He's still only 20, but he will be 29 soon, so yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you know, he's like, I'm still in my 20, you're her old, but I'm gonna still do my rebel stuff. Yay!

SPEAKER_00

So let's see. Well, like I said, the baby's always the baby. Yep, there's no escaping it.

SPEAKER_01

He's too cute.

SPEAKER_00

No, they all are and don't get me wrong, everybody. They're all they all look great, they've all just really sort of come into themselves. You know what I mean? Embracing who they are, and yeah. So excited for this. Like I said, key is going in and seeing them. That's that's what I gotta focus on. Exactly. We are for that.

SPEAKER_01

We're gonna see our boys. Yep. And who knows, we probably will see. We are manifesting that, yes. Oh yeah, yes. That's gonna happen. It's it's gonna be when we're like unexpected. We're like, oh, hello. Wait, with Mr. Lee, so he doesn't tackle me down. Speaking of Mr. Lee, whoa, Mexican army are like, Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee, and he's like, Shh. I know, I saw that. But then he gave this mark, like I do have a pandemic too. He's like, I just don't get it. Mr. Lee so professional. Oh my god, that man. What a man! Mm-hmm. I know he's married, but whoa. Uh yeah, you can admire that man.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, definitely.

Final Plea To Gillette And Goodbye

SPEAKER_01

I mean, he's scary looking too, but I still be like him. Yeah, I don't want to piss him off. No, he will look at you with a face and I'll be like, I still like him, Mr. Lee. Oh my goodness. I don't know why. Gotta be that strict, stern face of like, get out of my weight. And I'm like, I still like him. You can probably knock me down with one finger. Oh god, okay. Enough. All right. Thank you everybody for listening to the rants and rambling on BTS Tour. Mm-hmm. Okay, please, please give us a thumbs up or five stars, please. And you know, um put it in. We would like to hear your comments, you know. Uh, so we can just but um we were thinking also to let Gillette know that hey, please we very well prepare for this. Yes. Because there's gonna be a stampede of people coming in. And hopefully somebody takes the idea of checking for a ticket when you're on that merch line.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I hope that they employ enough people. Please, Gillette, employ as many people as you can so this can go run smoothly. Please get as many police present as you can so they can run smoothly. Also, I know you were talking about the train. I know Sarah's very worried about this train. That is just probably not enough for the outcome for all these people. If you are able to do whatever you can to have more public transportation for this venue, so there's not many traffic for the nearing community. Think of that small community who lives right next to J Gillette because I know they're gonna be hearing it and it's gonna be loud and it's gonna be very disruptive because Army is large, large, huge. And yes, we are cooperative, but some are not. So please, Gillette, in Boston, there's one in every crowd, yeah. You know what? This governor of Massachusetts, please, you gotta remember this is music royalty. And if you do your best when somebody from another country comes to our state, do the same for BTS.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, definitely.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you, thank you, thank you. So, until next time. Bye bye.
