Ono, Okinawa, And Island Daydreams
SPEAKER_02you guys do. Even whatever if we find out something about Ono, we support whatever Ono's doing.
SPEAKER_00Well, you know what? It's really funny that you say that now because you had sent me like another like little blurb thing. Yes. Where someone was talking about Ono having shares, like buying up land and having shares in resorts in Okinawa. All of a sudden, I'm getting all these travel to Japan, Okinawan resorts now available.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, that's very interesting. What's going on, right? That's very interesting, girl. Okinawa, for some reason, is also popping on my cell phone. Yeah, it's like I mean, I always okay. It's the the I always have said to myself, I will go to Okinawa. And for some reason, I'm gonna feel very at home on Okinawa through some of the cultural and descriptions that I have had. Plus, I had actually a uh classmate of mine who actually was in the army and he was there for quite a while. And he was like, I don't know why I left. I should have just stayed. I should I should have married my girlfriend that I had there, but you know, a lot of the yeah, he left because there's some reasons why he left. I'm not gonna get into details, but he left and then he now regrets it. He's like, This is so much like Puerto Rico that that's why he felt so much at home. But due to some circumstances, he couldn't stay. But he very much wanted just to live in Japan. And every time that once in a while we talk to each other, and he's like, I'm still talking, you know, Japan. I still want to go back. I still talk to the ex-girlfriend, but now the ex-girlfriend has married, so he has no longer connections just because she's now married, so he's he's not gonna gotcha, anyways. But I'm like, see, I knew it that Okinawa was so much like PR.
SPEAKER_00Well, I would say it's probably like any of those sort of you know, little volcanic chain islands. So I'm I'm always drawn to islands, anyways, and I've always been drawn to Japan through my dad and his experience living there, and but like everything we're Portuguese, but from the Azores, not from mainland Portugal, right? From England, Ireland, Scotland, all little islands. We're from you know, where I grew up was technically an island, but it's surrounded by water. So, you know, so yeah, so we'll yeah, all of all of Japan, but Okinawa definitely because all of the little travel things that my sister and I watch, and we've had you watch them with us. Yep, they're always at least one thing they go to Okinawa for it, and it's like it looks like an amazing place, it really does.
SPEAKER_02So very hot.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. That's the wonderful looking at the water. I'm like, it's crystal clear and it's beautiful greens and blues. Exactly.
SPEAKER_02The beaches down there are probably amazing, just like the beaches like in Puerto Rico's bright and clean or Hawaii, you know? Yeah, oh, which by the way, we're saying Hawaii wrong, it's supposed to be Hawaii, Hawai'i with a V. With a V? Yes, but apparently, no, it's Hawaii. I'm like, what? Okay, I got schooled. But I'm like, thank you. I mean, I'd be saying Hawaii wrong. I thought it was Hawai'i, you know? No. All right, so it's Hawaii. Huh. Interesting. I'm like, okay, thank you. I I guess that I was cooled. And I'm like, okay.
SPEAKER_00Ooh. That's it's weird because it was me. Even I went to school with a couple of kids from there, and they never corrected us from saying anything. So hey, you know. Okay.
SPEAKER_02I worked with a girl actually from well, we had a nurse who her part of her family lives down there, so she was calling it Hawaii. I don't know. Maybe for the Americans over here and not no Hawaii. Okay. Anyways.
Fuji Kaze Tour Dates And Hope
SPEAKER_02Ah, so speaking of islands in Japan, an announcement was made by Fuji Kasis. Okay, I'm sorry. I got popular right now. Um, they made an announcement that he is gonna be is doing a tour of Asia and he's coming back to North America. Uh, now for the US or North America, it will be for next year. And the cities that are talking about, one of them is of course is gonna be New York. Hello, glasses. So we have Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico, San Francisco, Toronto, and like I said before, New York. Also in Europe, he'll go to Cologne, London, and Paris.
SPEAKER_00So, um, yeah, I maybe it'll be a smoother concert uh experience than the last time he was in New York.
SPEAKER_02That was really like I I told Casetarians that I'm like, I don't know, I think I'm gonna give up on trying to get tickets. And they're like, no, they don't think he's coming to New York.
SPEAKER_00Make you know, like well, you know, maybe with all these changes going on with the ticketing things that there will be less of the problem that we had. Yeah because we tried to get tickets and it was like sold out immediately, and then resale tickets were up for like five times the price. Yeah, it was insane.
SPEAKER_02Remember those two tickets that they were 10 grand each? I'm like, what the F is that? Yeah, no, no, I was so yeah, I was sad, disappointed. Even Kazaya was just like, please do not pay ridiculous prices for those tickets, you know. He it it just yeah, I'm sure he was hurt, he was very hurt. Like, what in the world?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he was definitely upset, but he was like, Don't don't pay more than you should be to come to this show.
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
SPEAKER_00As much as you want to see me and I want to see you, do not buy into these resellers.

Resellers, Ticketmaster, And Fan Frustration
SPEAKER_02So there is a class lawsuit, class action lawsuit. We have actually mentioned that on our last episode, where this ticket master, you know, uh they need to make changes. Some countries have made changes on their ticket the way they pursue ticketing. Um, speaking of, did you saw Tablos rant on this ticketing agent? Oh no. Oh, this happened this morning. So their tickets went on sale. He is going berserk, so mad, because he's like, These ticket agents, he I cannot say what burvatum, but please find his his tweet. He puts it everywhere, tweet, Instagram, everywhere.
SPEAKER_00He is so mad on there, probably on their little epics and his podcast.
SPEAKER_02You know, Tablo, he has no hair in his tongue. He's gonna tell you what he is. He is pissed. He's like, I probably he even said, I'd probably get canceled for what I'm saying right now, and I just posted. He went off on the tickety agent that they're making it difficult to get, you know, for fans to get their VIP. He has two VIP levels, yeah. VIP one and two. He was like, We do have VIP tickets, they're just calling it something else, they're calling it something HQ, blah blah blah. We do have VIP, just go back. It's it's just like their firewall is crap. He is going off. Oh wow. Going off. He's like, I've been I'm being on the phone all day, all night, all day. He is trying to get he's like, I'm trying to get this resolved. We do have, and then at the end he made a scream. He screamed. I was like, wow, Tao is going off. He is, yeah. I mean, you gotta, I'm not gonna, I can't play it.

SPEAKER_02But find it. Table is going up. He is feeling, he's like, no, this is unfair. This is unfair to my our fans. This is unfair. We have all this stuff for you, but stupid agent is fucking thick up. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02So, you know, um, I'm happy about this. Um hopefully when Kazakh comes over, we'll be able to get tickets. Not be left out like we have in the past. That's why I made that tweet saying I have giving up trying to get tickets to see Kazan because of this. Yeah, because of this. It's it's awful. So we'll see. That will be next year. Okay, I'm putting it out there in the universe that um this time we'll go on, we'll be going. Yes, definitely. I'm gonna put it in my heart that I am that we are gonna go see him instead of this like defeatist attitude. Exactly. Just take that out. Think positive, think positive. Yeah, TD Garden. I had no idea that the the garden had something underneath this and they're playing there.

SPEAKER_00Maybe. Is it on a weekend? Although after Tableau's rant, I don't know. Are we gonna be able to get tickets? Is he canceling with that organization and doing something else? We'll we but yeah, we can okay. We'll look into it.

Rookie Idol Brand Rankings Explained
SPEAKER_02So moving on. Oh, so I want to talk about the June Rookie Idol group, brand reputation, rankings, and nouns. That's on Sunpi.
SPEAKER_00That's a mouthful.
SPEAKER_02That's thanks to Sunpi for creating this. This is so cricket. Anyways, so the Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month's brand reputation rankings for Rookie Idol Group. The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interactions, and community awareness index of various rookie idol groups using big data collected from May 2nd to June 2. Jeez.
SPEAKER_00I'm not sure I understood what all that meant. Jeez. They okay. Basically, they compiled a lot of data.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So, fans, fans, this is good homework because you gotta do all that to get your rookie group up. You have to do all that, and the group have to do all that as well to just be to be in the top 30. Yikes, wow, exactly. Wow. I mean, it's bad enough trying to be number one, but just to be at a certain oh my god, okay. Let's see, Curtis shot to the top of this month list after seeing a whopping 373.33% increase in their brand reputation index in May. Wow. Wow, exactly. That's huge. The group's total score for June came out to 4,153,281 a score. I don't know how they're based on the case.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't know how the rankings work.
SPEAKER_02So so, but I mean if wow, so that means that's a collect I'm thinking call participation, media coverage, interactions, and community awareness. So when I'm when they say community awareness, the fans, how much they're talking about there, how much I'm thinking.
SPEAKER_00Well, and how much they're interacting with the community, I think. Like going out and doing things and being part of I think. Right. Again, that's I don't know. There's so much involved with that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's why fandoms is this is a full-time job. To be a fan is a full-time job just to boost your favorites.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, because you got gotta make sure you watch all their their TikToks and their reels on Instagram, retweet things, you gotta stream their music, you gotta how much they buy social media, that's another thing.
SPEAKER_02That's how much like wow. So that's how much Curtis is on, I'm thinking, that they are our number one ranking for the month of June. You know, I try as much as I can on for myself my life. But thanks to X Twitter being a total jerk, I can't not really do remember when I had that BS with them because they're like thought I was a bot because I was again uh boosting the Asian artist, and they're like, Well, we're gonna you we think you're a bot. And I'm like, I'm not a bot. I had this freaking account for almost nine years. You know, it's gonna be 19 years for okay Asia. Wow, this is gonna be my ninth year. Ninth man, I know. So, anyways, I was just so TO'd because I'm like, yo, so I had to like because they want me to pay. Oh, do you wanna do this? Oh, yeah, yeah. Become, you know, pay a monthly fee. And I'm like, this is free. I shouldn't be paying for this.

SPEAKER_02Exactly. That's why I like to do more on Blue Sky because they're not money grabbing, but the majority of my followers are on X Twitter. That's why I still have that account. Moving on to the group uh and the ranking. Uh, Ilit climbed to second place at a brand reputation. Uh, then we have Recent jump into third after seeing a staggering 733 points, 51% increase in their brand reputation. Um, also we have Kiki. Remember Kiki? Yes, love their song, which it was about social media.

SPEAKER_02Remember? Uh they took fourth place for the month brand reputation. All right. So now what we have here, so they give us the uh the top 30 for the month goes, like we said. Curtis number one, then we have Illit, Recent, Kiki, TWS, which I'm sure is pronounced differently. Hearts to hearts is six. Ah, cool. Seventh, we have Baby Monster, which they're awesome. Uh we have number eighth, Alpha Drive One, number nine, Antoble. Number ten, cat's eye. Hmm.

SPEAKER_02So then 27th we have Ispia, 28th, ID ID. Um, 29th, say my name. And then on 30, Kira Us. These are some groups that we should be looking into. Yeah, definitely.
SPEAKER_00So that is for the month of June. Try and find some of their music. Because like the top 12 there, we've we've talked about a lot of those groups that are in there.

Music Awards Japan Highlights And Winners
SPEAKER_00So most of what I've got is uh things that were happening on Oricon with the Music Awards Japan 2026. Which like I said, Fuji Kaze, one album of the year for Prima. Your Kenti was the official red carpet interviewer. What did you know that? No! Yes, he was the official interviewer for it.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, I missed that. Maybe he made that announcement, but I did Kenti, I'm sorry. But Diaz has been taking my timeline break, right? And honestly, too. We just sent podcasts.
SPEAKER_00You know, because come on, so but so he just came out with a new song and it's so cute and so funny in the video of like the day in the life of Kenty, yeah. So at those awards, BTS was best k-pop artist. Yes. Um, Black Pink got best K-pop song for jump, but also XG's Hypnotize was selected as best global hit from Japan.

SPEAKER_00So awesome. And it was that song was awesome.
SPEAKER_02Yo, that song is amazing. I love this girl group so much. And they're uncoming near us this time, but I mean Wow.

The uh grand ceremony for music awards Japan 2026, the largest international music awards was held, Japan's largest international music awards, was held on the 13th, which is we're recording on the 13th. Yep. At the uh Toyota Arena Tokyo. Sorry, I was trying to read the the title of that, and it was not making sense in my brain. So Toyota Arena Ah, I see the typography got messed up. If I look at it closer, Toyota Arena Tokyo. In Tokyo. Well, you know how see, we have to read all this translated, and sometimes the translation thing, it was breaking it up into segments that were not. So I'm like, it should be Tokyo.

SPEAKER_00That's why I was like, Arena, they broke it into arena. So I was like, wait a minute. When I look at this, it's arena, got it. Anyway, so hypnotized by the seven-member artist group XG was selected as best global hit from Japan. The awards are organized by Culture, Entertainment, Industry Promotion, and established by the five major music industry organizations under the concept of connecting with the world and illuminating the future of music. So seven-member group XG got global hit of the year.
SPEAKER_02Awesome. Congratulations to the girls.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but then another group that we really like, HANA. Mm-hmm. They got Best New Artist Award. Yeah. And um and speaking to reporters after the ceremony, Chica expressed gratitude, saying, Truly, I am truly, truly happy and honored. I was so nervous during my speech, so I want to reiter reiterate that this award is not for us, but for everyone who has been involved. Mahina, upon receiving the award trophy, smiled and said, I'm holding it now. Wow, it's heavy, it's heavier than I expected, she added. Uh I was so envious when Sokka in Action held it on the red carpet, so I'm happy to have it in my hands now. So that's just that's awesome. And I believe that Chanmino is there too. Their producer, Chanmina, who we love. Proud mama of their babies. Yep. So she expressed her gratitude as well. This is also still, it was a separate article in Oracon again about Hana receiving best new artists. Since our debut, we have always sung with the hope of becoming someone's reason for living. As a result, we are truly honored to receive this award. Aww. Yes.

Tablo’s Ticket Site Rant And Real Talk
SPEAKER_00know. The the only other thing that just popped up was apparently the second concert in Busan just wrapped up for BTS on their birthdayslash anniversary. So they sent uh We will never forget today. Let's continue to be together for a long time was their announcement at the end of the the show. So man, and now they're heading to Europe. But yeah, that's the only other new news that popped up on Aricon for me. I closed all my I found Tableau.

SPEAKER_02So on X Twitter, I actually reposted and and I put a quote because you know it's true. It's we sh fans should not go through all this trouble to get tickets. So that's in a big red box with white lettering, almost taking like three-quarters of his face, the middle, the middle, and then he goes, Some of these concert ticketing sites need to check at calendar because it's 2026 and not not effing 1990. These sites are buggy, counterintuitive, or just. I'm reading this. Is what I'm reading from um Tablo. This is not me. I'm just abbreviating from what he's saying. Flat out, effing what this is. He is, I'm telling you, he's going off. Effing stupid. So Epic High North America Tour tickets just went live, and a ton of our fans are wondering why we're not offering VIP packages. We are.smartphone. We're still at the birth of. I'm sorry if I sound it like choppy. It's just a video that is, so I can read what he's saying. Uh, the end we are at the birth of the internet age.

How are you making it so hard for hand fans to purchase tickets and simultaneously complaining about the death of the live performance market? Oh my god. Yep. He's like the live market isn't dying. And if it's not visible right there, please try to use filters to find VIP 1 or VIP2. VIP 1 might be sold out, sold out in most cities, but VIP2 is still available. Yeah, he's like, it's they've renamed it, so it's harder to find. But if you filter for it, you'll find it. Yep. But wow. He's like music fans, live fans who have to effing deal with these sites every day. He's like, I don't know what the hell. Yeah. You could see him though, the frustration. Yeah. SPEAKER_00Yeah, you either had to go to the venue and try and buy them, go to your favorite music store, or you called Ticketmaster.
SPEAKER_02That was like later on in the 90s that happened. It's like, oh, for your convenience, you can call for tickets. And then you're there holding. You're in a home. And then the line will go off. You're like, what? And then you lose your placement again on the oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Sort of like how it is now though, with the like, don't refresh your page. You know, you get into the waiting room. Yes. And they're like, don't refresh your page. And then you get into the queue and they're like, don't refresh your page. No. Because if you do, it kicks you out and puts you back in the queue, and you're like, ah. Exactly.
