We’ve been busy over the last year hosting live convos with our audience here at The Cool Table, and we’re bringing the best of those chats to The Cool Table podcast to start us off right. Rate, review and subscribe to save your seat!

  • Welcome to The Cool Table Podcast.
  • If you’ve spent any time on the internet in the last decade, you know that it can often be a frightful and lonely walk through an over-crowded cafeteria, like a digital embodiment of the high pressure “Where y’all sitting?” lunch table meme. Every time you bump into a website, Facebook group or community, or podcast …  it’s like bumping up against a table filled with people you don’t know, some people you are dying to know and a bunch of people you aren’t sure you’re ever going to like. Sometimes, you sit down, thinking a table looks clean and the people look normal, only to find out halfway through the first meme throw-down or political argument, that you have made a critical mistake.

  • We know that pain, and we are here to tell you: you’ve found your spot at The Cool Table. No more wandering through the aisles looking for the right mix of  smarts, snark and self-deprecation.

  • If you are dying to geek out about how much you love Bachelor Nation, but also recognize all of its horribleness, sit by us.

  • If you want to rage against the current state of the patriarchy but still be cool with the pink hues on your quilted velvet duvet, sit by us.

  • If you want to figure out all the Wanda Vision conspiracies that no one at your work would even understand, let alone tolerate, sit by us.

  • And if you want to read nothing but Kindle Unlimited Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy novels and never EVER put them on your Goodreads shelf, please know we have a big old embarrassing seat right here for you.

  • The Cool Table is more than just a tongue-in-cheek way to describe our gang and our place on the internet. It’s more than just a self-deprecating way to describe our website. It’s an all-inclusive hangout meant for everyone who ever needed a place to sit and just fangirl away, without having to wade through the crazies to get there. Relax, you found your people. We’ve been saving you a seat at right here.

  • If you haven’t met us, I’m Beth. For the past several years, four of my friends and I have been living in text threads and Twitter DMs discussing all things entertainment and pop culture. Me, Amy, Heidi, Julie and Karen been online writing book and film reviews, lifestyle and current events editorials. Pop culture nerdery is what we do. Whenever someone found our online community, our articles, or our interviews, they would invariably say the same thing. “I’ve found my people! Thank you for letting me sit with y’all at the cool table!” So when it came time to branch out together and create an online space that was all ours, the name came easy. We’d been holding that distinction for years anyway.

  •  Even if you were never at the cool table in high school, this is still the place for you. The internet’s cool table doesn’t require anyone to wear pink or skip lunch for no good reason. It’s just us – having honest, intelligent, hilarious, clever and ridiculous discussions about all things pop culture. And entertainment and current events and books and trending topics. You get it.

  • Our first episodes are coming very soon. We’ve been busy over the last year hosting live convos with our audience, and we’re bringing the best of those chats to The Cool Table podcast to start us off right. If you missed our very first book clubs about Julia Quinn’s romance novels that inspired the hit Netflix show, you will be able to catch up with Bridgerton Book Club and Bingerton (our Bridgerton after party). Also, we are in the middle of our A Discovery of Witches after show, a Hangout of Witches. Those episodes will be coming to you weekly. We will also be bringing you Happy Hour at The Cool Table, which is a very boozy, very fun pop culture pop up convo. You don’t want to not get a seat at the table, so be sure to subscribe … and if you already know that you love us (IRL or not) rate and review!. We’ve been saving you a seat at The Cool Table. Coming this week! See you guys.
