all right. So another rom-com that we decide to review is masamune's raccoon revenge and I'm gonna be honest with you, when I first checked it out a while ago, when it was brand new, I thought it was interesting because, think about it. But you have this one guy who was a chubby boy named Masamune and he had a feeling for this princess-type Aki, and everything was cool and all, and keep in mind, they were like little kids, keep in mind, it was cool and all, up until one day Aki told him oh, I can't fuck around with you, fat kid. It's like calling him Piggy or Pig's Boat Ball, depending on if you watch the sub version and he took that personally to a point where he committed himself to getting in shape.
Speaker 1So one day he'll run into her and be like all right, this is up, I'm gonna riz her up, I'm gonna make her catch feelings for me and as soon as she confess her feelings for me, I'm gonna make her catch Feelings for me and as soon as she confess Her feelings for me, I'm gonna embarrass Her and reject her, just like she Embarrassed and rejected me All those years ago. And essentially there was this whole bunch of Anime cliche Misunderstandings. For the most part Like not to say that the Anime was bad, but like, for the most Part, not to say that the anime was bad, but for the most part it was like eh, you know this and that. And third, it's all about him trying to win her over and shit. But let me talk about the truth behind this premise. So the servant girl Yoshino turns out. She was the one, she was low key, the ops, like she was helping Masamune and she is.
Speaker 1But I'm like Technically you're also the ops, because she's the one who dressed up as Aki and pretended to be Aki to say that Masamune is too fat for her. Because Yoshino was say that Masamune's too fat for her. Because Yoshino was jealous of Masamune for getting Aki's attention and in actuality Aki likes fat boys, like just to sign up wealth and whatnot. So it was all a misunderstanding to a point where Yoshino felt bad and she made it her mission to try to uh help Masamune and Aki get together, and that's pretty much it like. I just think it's kind of wild, how like, uh, you think, oh, it's a quiet one, that'd be like low-key scheming, because you're thinking, uh, yoshino's like shy and awkward and clumsy a little bit, but in actuality he's kind of deceptive and cold. But yeah, so for the most part I was, I was digging the show, but uh, let's open up to the panel. We got koki gatsu, we got professor tuck and we got mira jane on here. So, starting with Tuck, how are you feeling about Masamune Kun's revenge?
Speaker 3First of all let me just say I love the Cruel Princess. She is best girl, for sure, for sure, for sure, and I don't know. I think it's her dark hair, it's her attitude. I got something about girls' attitude. I digress. The show is really good man. It's real quirky how he always his plans always unfoil and then something random always happens. Are we going over season one and season two? Yes, oh, okay, because the fake Masamune is crazy.
Speaker 3Hilarious. It's crazy. And the setup, oh man. Oh, I hated the fake Masamune smug face. It just made me want to slap it. I love it.
Speaker 2What's that girl's name?
Speaker 3What's the maid name? Yoshino?
Speaker 1the maid name.
Speaker 3Yeah, yoshino, she's second best.
Speaker 1I don't know.
Speaker 3The way she changed her voice.
Speaker 1Aki for me. She kind of annoyed me a little bit.
Speaker 4I don't know why?
Speaker 1I don't know.
Speaker 3I don't know. I just want her to be mean to me. Just be mean to me, little bit. I don't know why it's like. I don't know, I don't know. I just want her to be mean to me. Just be mean to me. She is the cruel princess for a reason. Okay, chill it out.
Speaker 4Chill it out? Most definitely.
Speaker 2I'm going to go through this real quick Because it's anime. Oh my, stop. Okay. So at the time of recording recording, we just finished watching halftime, but this is not this episode. Stop, save that energy for another time. Anyway, moving forward, we came back into this one. This one right here is it feels like it's all over the place, and this is one of those ones that I'm going to be very honest with you. This anime was one of those anime that unfortunately has a decent premise, but they changed the animation studio from season one to season two and it completely ruined the plot and I'm glad that you mentioned it because that's on my list About the fake Masamune-kun, with the old girl when she was dressing up and pretending to be him Because she's also a little chunkier, and everything.
Speaker 2Her whole storyline interesting storyline, you know, considering the fact that her family was rich, she had to go poor. She had to. She's trying to take care of her sibling, and so she's doing whatever it is that she can, and it kind of sucks that she pretended to be this guy just to get into the family. She knew what she was doing was rude, was completely wrong, and she was like I gotta do what I gotta do so, get out my way type of thing. He went through having so much because he was still trying to hide his identity that he eventually had to just prove that he is him so that way that fake one could get get out, could get exposed. I'm happy that she wound up getting a good working recommendation. They allowed her to still stay in school. She winds up working part-time so she's still able to make money and keep her family afloat, which is what she wanted to do anyway.
Speaker 2I hate that she had so much pressure put onto her because she was the eldest sibling, which is a normal family thing. That happens in a lot of families. It still happens today. But even like, one of the biggest things that gets me upset is that there's a lot of people that tend to push like my eldest daughter because she's so much older than her siblings. They're like, well, she's going to be the one to help out, she's going to have to help watch them, like that's not she's 14. No, that's not. That's not her job. It's not her job. They're my kids. Like I'm going to help care of them. I should not be forcing her to do it just because she's the eldest sibling. To me. That's not fair. My brothers had to do that with me and I just don't think it's necessarily fair. So it's like, if there's a little bit of a different situation, my brothers, but still it's one of those ones.
Speaker 2I don't have to get a chance to talk about that dynamic, but that change in animation completely spoiled it because literally at the end of season one she looks like Masamune, like as he did what would be an older version of If he stayed the same, if he stayed not fit. And then, as soon as you go to season two, straight up, change the facial features, change the hair texture, change Everything, and there's a distinctive difference Between male and female In the second season, to the point that as soon as you watch the first episode of season two, you automatically knew it was a girl, like there was no question to it whatsoever. And this was before it was revealed even to us, the audience, that this was who it was. As far as we were concerned, it's just some other guy that's pretending to be this.
Speaker 2And then, literally, season one, episode one oh, it's a female. And I'm like, why would you, how would you completely spoil that, why would you fuck that up for me? And I was so angry about that because I'm like animation makes a big difference, people know what you're doing. Because this is. It was so frustrating, oh yeah, I remember.
Speaker 1Uh, oh yeah, I remember the name Karnet.
Speaker 2Yep. Now I want to go mention also that this anime has a secondary name, and it's hilarious. It's called they Show Up when you Least Expect it. That is the alternate title for this anime. That is not what Master of Mixed Arts translates to at all. It's just that's what it's actually called. It's just that's what it's actually called. It is pretty much guaranteed yeah, that's pretty much how this anime works out Every single time that he thinks he's finally gotten this girl to fall in love with him and he's like, going to execute this plan or he's questioning himself whether or not he really wants to execute this plan. Some other girl shows up. The funniest girl to me was the French girl, because her brother's head of the gang and was like you gonna do this for my daughter.
Speaker 1You gonna do?
Speaker 2this for my sister. Yeah, he's like you gonna do this for my sister and everything. He's like no, I don't want to. She's like no, she wants to write a fanfic about you two and you're gonna let her do it and you don't, I'm gonna handle it myself, type thing.
Speaker 1I'm like bruh why y'all getting bullied into this? Hey, yo, you know what that reminds me of the science and fell in love, uh, anime that we reviewed, how I didn't really talk about the manga artist and how she was like the ops and that, but uh, you know, she was more like an instigator than anything. Just whatever it takes to make her a monger.
Speaker 2Yes, you know, I understood her jealousy, but she was absolutely wrong for that. There was a completely uncalled for.
Speaker 2They permanently scarred. This kid Made him go through this whole journey of adventure. I cannot understand him. Jb, you and I both you know this because I've talked with you about this before I can't relate to this anime because to me this is theft behavior. To be so upset that you decide to dedicate your life to, first off, getting yourself into so much shape that you start counting calories to the T, to the point where your mom is trying to give you something and you're like I can't eat this. That has entirely too many calories. I'm going to have to do XX amount of pushups, xx amount of this and I need to keep myself fit so that when my plan does what it is I need it to do, it's like that's too much. That's too much If you're going through a lot of effort to get a girl that you want to be with and stuff like that, fine, got you.
Speaker 2But to be putting in this amount of effort just to say, oh, no, I just want her to like me and I'm gonna dump her and then like, okay, what's the? What else is gonna happen with your life once it happens? What you're gonna do next with your life? At this point you've perfected yourself from getting a girl to fall in love with you and dumping her now, that means you're gonna be alone all your life. I'm sorry To me. This is a set behavior. I can't do.
Speaker 1This I can never relate to this Well, yeah, I can understand that, but before I get into my next point, mira Jane, how are you feeling about Masamune Kun's revenge?
Speaker 4I ain't going to lie to you. At first I didn't think I was going to like it. This ain't my cup of tea. I don't like anything that has to do With love. Okay, none of that. Don't give me no. Please don't Wait what?
Speaker 1I like the way she said it. I'm a little shocked about that too.
Speaker 2I'm pretty shocked into that one too. But go ahead, please continue Wow.
Speaker 4Even after the books you read yeah, like anime wise, don't give me that.
Speaker 1I mean to be fair. Rom-coms are like like okay, literally like I told CookieGuyS and ScienceFall in Love, if it didn't have the scientific inquiry element into that series, it would have been just another rom-com that if you've seen one rom-com, you've seen them all.
Speaker 2Pretty much I just can't do it the only ones. That's different is K-Drama.
Speaker 3It's like K-Romance drama. See, what about that other one with the um uh, where they like enemies and the one's the president, the other's the vice president? Oh God, what's the name of that anime? And we just reviewed it too, season one, I think. God Did we? Yeah, yeah, hold on, hold on, let me look it up.
Speaker 2Was that you and me, or was that all of us?
Speaker 3It was all of us. I wasn't on it, though, because I had to do something that day.
Speaker 1And it was about a president versus a vice president.
Speaker 3Yeah, dude girl was in love with him. One was president, one was the vice president. They was in love with each other but they didn't want each other to know.
Speaker 1Oh, kaguya-sama, no, no, we didn't do that one yet, oh, I thought that was on school.
Speaker 4No, no, no, I think you're mixing that up with the sister brother couple weird thing no, no, they're not sister brother no, no, no, but we didn't do that yet oh, okay like no, you're right, I'm thinking still got time now you're thinking irregular at magic high school.
Speaker 1We review that, but that's not what he's talking about yeah, I know that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4I'm thinking he's mixing that up with that one.
Speaker 3Yeah, I thought maybe yeah but no, my simulacra is uh it's called war glove or something like that, right yeah, yeah yeah, see I can't do that either.
Speaker 1Yeah, I mean it was all right it was cute.
Speaker 3Oh my god, you can't do that either.
Speaker 4No, I don't like the awkward, I don't like that awkward. I like you, you like me, but I don't like you like.
Speaker 2I don't like that, that's not weird you don't like high school drama type thing, I don't wait, hold on.
Speaker 1Give my bride is a mermaid a chance. It's a rom-com, yes, but it is funny as hell, I swear to God. For you, JB, I'll try, like, okay, to be fair, you're going to have to gloss over the first four episodes, but by the time you get to episode five, I know, I know. I know but episode five, I swear to god, it just picks up from there.
Speaker 4It gets crazy from there okay, I think I think I said this on the episode music I do like toxic. If it's toxic I, I like it. A toxic anime romance absolutely perfect. So yakuza fiance oh my god, I love it. It's the most toxic love story I've ever seen.
Speaker 2Beautiful, okay you use drama you like you love drama, drama, wait, wait, mj.
Speaker 3What about a school daughter online?
Speaker 1I mean I.
Speaker 4I cared more about like the action, like that was more important.
Speaker 1Yeah, like I feel like there was more action than romance in that one.
Speaker 3I don't know the romance.
Speaker 1It felt like a 60-40 deal.
Speaker 3I don't care about us in a relationship.
Speaker 4I bet you did, I bet you.
Speaker 3I was crying. I'm talking about crying.
Speaker 1I wasn. I'm talking about Nah Yanni you know what?
Speaker 4When she got kidnapped, I was thankful.
Speaker 1You know what that explains why you like Inuyasha that much oh.
Speaker 4But Inuyasha. I like Inuyasha's love story though. That's beautiful. But that explains why I hate Kikyo. Exactly Kagome's better.
Speaker 2Kagome is not better.
Speaker 4Sit boy, that's right Wow.
Speaker 2Weren't you just roasted on tuck and now you sitting here on the same stuff.
Speaker 4I don't feel like. I feel like we're opposite ends of the spectrum.
Speaker 2Not at all. He said he was like yeah, let her tell me what to do. And you like, yes, it boy, it sounds like a match made in heaven. He wants to be told what to do. You want to tell what to do is what it sounds like, I concur that's not masamune, kun no no, you know what I'm sorry one more time.
Speaker 1One more, one more time. Future Diary that is definitely one of the most toxic and I loved it.
Speaker 4I loved every single second. It was beautiful. Give me that Every time.
Speaker 1I know one toxic couple.
Speaker 4You know what else and I hope we review it School Days Best romance anime ever, absolutely Hands down top 10, you know what else, and I hope we review it school days, that's romance anime ever absolutely hands down top 10 what in the world?
Speaker 2see, I thought I knew you. Apparently I don't.
Speaker 4Good lord not when it comes to romance. I don't listen. Atypical romance no, I don't like. Atypical romance, no, I don't like it. I want them different, I want them weird, I need them crazy, like Umineko.
Speaker 1No, not.
Speaker 4McCartney.
Speaker 1Battler.
Speaker 4No, I don't need them unhappy. I need them miserably happy Together. What the fuck.
Speaker 1Oh, um or trauma. I need them miserably happy together.
Speaker 1What the fuck, oh, um well, I want to say they're miserably happy together. But I want to say one of the relationships and Baka and Tess was kind of funny to a point where you got this kind of yandere girl who keeps trying to tase her boyfriend. It's in ways where like yeah, they're dating and he was like she kind of creeps me out, like she kind of scares me, but I'm like I still kind of like her, like just watch baka and tess, like you'll see I like that one though you see now okay, cool yeah I've seen that one.
Speaker 4I like that couple was cute to me but like I, said it didn't go far enough.
Toxic Love Stories Analysis
Speaker 4It didn't go like I needed. I don't know. Listen, I can agree, there's something weird about me. I can agree to that. But at least I know what I like and I'm honest. This is true Toxic love stories. Given to this one, At first I thought it was Going to be the level of toxic that I needed it to be and it wasn't. And it let me down. Okay, it wasn't toxic enough. It has revenge In the title. What revenge?
Speaker 2It started off as revenge and eventually he realized the truth and realized that he actually loved the woman the whole time.
Speaker 4Yeah, yeah, why. Why, I understand, he was wrong, I get it, but we already here. Continue on.
Speaker 3No, no, no. My boy did continue on and be tough. He was on his mission to get revenge. He was working towards his revenge. Then he discovered that she ain't do nothing wrong with him.
Speaker 2She saved him.
Speaker 4It was her. Aki was the one who saved him.
Speaker 3You know what I realized? Come to find out both them girls was in love with him. You know what's crazy that other girl that was in love with him but he had you know what's crazy that other girl that was in love with him.
Speaker 1Necco.
Speaker 3Bruh.
Speaker 1The commando princess. He made the wrong decision, See honestly, that felt like what happened in fucking Family Matters when C kept choosing Laura over Myra. I mean, yeah, they did date by Mike bro. Well Myra, oh my god.
Speaker 3Come on, man, you already got the jackpot with Myra.
Speaker 1You good fam.
Speaker 3He played the poker too. Oh my god, I can't I can't with y'all you see.
Speaker 4It's not me me.
Speaker 2It's not you, you're an addition. So you gonna sit there and say that, myra wasn't meant to be with Steve.
Speaker 3They like all the same stuff.
Speaker 2They were both smart. I ain't gonna lie to you, most definitely, but it's one of those ones that let's keep in mind. He's supposed to portray a young male student like young male person. There's like, look, we debut. We just talked about this. We did science and love at a certain age point. It's not until like age 22 that it's estimated that, like it's being generalization from male and female, that they start thinking more, that we as humans will start thinking more of our brains than our emotions.
Speaker 3Yeah, thinking more, that we as humans, will start thinking more of our brains than our emotions. Yeah, females more so than males, because the prefrontal cortex ain't fully developed till males get 26 you just talked about that, yeah yeah, we just discussed this in that previous, their previous episode.
Speaker 2So it's like yeah, literally, when you put it in the aspect.
Speaker 1Meanwhile with girls it's like 22. 22, 23.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, some cases maybe, like some cases could be younger Some cases, but yeah, it's just literally you would look into like almost like in the mid 20s. That's when you really start thinking more of your brain than emotions and stuff Including. I'm saying emotions instead of another word, but still, it's the same premise of it and that's the biggest issue with steve he was your wiener with that, wow, and that's.
Speaker 2And that's the whole issue with masi mune as well too. He wasn't really thinking with his brain, he was thinking the whole time with his emotions. He was frustrated and upset. He never grew up, stayed a kid he was thinking with that pipe.
Speaker 1That's what he was doing.
Speaker 4Excuse me Okay.
Speaker 2And then he. Then he decided to stop thinking with that and started to start thinking with his brain. He found out the truth and was, like you know what? I put my energy to the wrong thing and I apologize. I'm going to have to change my ways. I'm not going to allow myself to go down this road and curse myself to stay this way. Going to allow myself to go down this road and curse myself to stay this way.
Speaker 3And the fake Masamune had something to do with that too. He realized too quick like hey, no, no, no, no, no, that's my girl, my boy or my girl.
Speaker 4Or yeah my girl, my date.
Speaker 2He had to double that back. But okay, but it makes sense why you do like this so much. This was nothing but toxic, toxic on toxic, because this boy stayed dumb, the entire, almost the entire anime being like no, I need to give my revenge and I'm pretty sure you ate that up I did and the uh, the fake muscle moon.
Speaker 3A season one definitely passed, because I was not expecting that to be a female to be honest with you.
Speaker 4I was hoping. I was like, oh my god, he done pulled in somebody else. I was like, oh my god, oh my god, it's gonna be so good. That's what I thought, but that's not what it was.
Speaker 2And that made me even sadder, but that whole like animation quality just aggravated me. But I'm sorry, let Mary Jane talk. Yeah, let her finish so we can get back into it.
Speaker 1Yeah, go ahead, Mirjana. The rest of your impression on Masamune Kun's revenge.
Speaker 4Oh, you're right, You're right, I mean, yeah. That pretty much sums it up. I was really disappointed that it didn't go all the way. I'm sad that he realized all of a sudden oh my god, I was wrong, I need to not get revenge. You know, it was really disappointing for me. That part was a letdown. Um, I would like an alternate universe version where he gets his revenge um on the wrong person, so that way we can continue another cycle of revenge, with her getting revenge on him in their adulthood life anyway, and then that's when we'll get the glory. Okay, because that is top tier revenge. Love story K-Drop the end.
Speaker 2I like how she ended up saying that's a revenge story, kdrama, and I just went right back to it.
Speaker 1I was like you like kdrama what about the Tomgirl character, the Masamune Bridgette Futaba? Any thoughts on her?
Speaker 2This turned into a whole harem anime that I kind of expected it, but it didn't. In regards to her, literally when you look at the whole roster, she is the least memorable of everybody. I feel sad in saying that, considering the fact that literally one of them is just known as the Commando Queen, and that's probably feel sad. And saying that considering the fact that literally one of them is just known as the commando queen, and that's probably the main reason that she is even remembered it's just because of the fact that she can't ever remember to wear no damn underwear.
Speaker 3Um, so I feel bad onto that saying that regard, but that's me personally oh, oh you saying about the setup the ketchup packet when she was faking like she was bleeding oh my god, oh right, that's bullshit.
Speaker 1Uh, yeah, it was kind of funny, but uh, oh, I got another. Um, since, uh, we're gonna be reviewing it in October, yeah, in October. Anyways. Another toxic couple. Death Note With Light and Misa Misa.
Speaker 2Oh my god, oh my god. That is like Joker and Harley Quinn Level of so beautiful, so beautiful. He literally was cheating on her With a whole other woman.
Speaker 3I agree it was a beautiful relationship.
Speaker 2What the heck.
Speaker 3It was meant to be. They were both crazy.
Speaker 4As hell.
Speaker 1It was so beautiful, they deserved each other.
Speaker 4Exactly.
Speaker 2Speaking of, did y'all know that there's actually a continuation To that story? I did not know Until, like I think it was, a couple months ago, that apparently the story is actually still continuing.
Speaker 4Excuse me.
Speaker 3Wait what After? Like the Kuma was in it.
Speaker 2Yeah, cause like there's a whole. Well, there's a fanfic as far as like how he becomes Shinigami and what happens into it. But no, there's actually a whole continuational story of what happens afterwards, because the Death Note never really stops. Miso is still alive and other people wind up getting Death Note, so they wind up continuing the story a little bit further on.
Speaker 4Oh my god.
Speaker 2So I was like what? They're continuing it, that's what's up. I gotta check it out when I can.
Speaker 3My boy ate the hell out of them chips.
Speaker 4No, he didn't. And them apples.
Speaker 2Ryuk and them apples, mm-hmm. Well, that'd be a story when we get into that one. But yeah, deflo, jb, that's a beyond toxic couple and I'm hoping that you are kind of with me on to this and not with our other two go-hos here.
Speaker 1Oh no, I'm like I didn't say I like it, it's more like that's an example.
Speaker 4I mean it's okay, jb, it's okay, it's okay, it can come on the side, it's fine. Okay, you on the side, it's fine, you can like Listen, can we at some point, please? I just want everybody to watch School Days with me because I need you guys to feel my pain.
Speaker 2You need us to feel your pain. Where are we? Ah?
Speaker 1No, no, no, you know what Is this the first?
Speaker 2romance anime that I've reviewed with Kip.
Toxic Couples and Anime Recommendations
Speaker 1Yes, no, skip. Yes, you know what you want toxic relationship. Even though it's not anime, watch Velma. If you watch Velma, I'll watch School Days.
Speaker 4Wait, a second Wait. You would torture me.
Speaker 2Now I personally will say that I do not think that's a fair and law of equivalent exchange. It's a fair Law of equivalent exchange.
Speaker 3It's not the law of equivalent exchange. I don't feel like that's fair.
Speaker 4I don't feel like that's fair.
Speaker 2School days is better Halloween School days tells better Halloween School days, tells you from the jump. It tells you from the jump that it's going to scar you, that it's specifically meant to cause a whole bunch of mental issues and stuff with you. Velma tried to lie to you and say it was one thing and painted itself this way and wanted to be something completely different. I cannot agree into that particular trade-off. That's it for me. But I understand he's saying that he'll watch it with you if you do this Now. Granted, this is his proposal, mirajane.
Speaker 4Is that the only Can we counter proposal? Can you shoot something else?
Speaker 1Alright, well, check this out. There's two toxic couples and two different anime, but funny enough, they share a universe.
Speaker 4Okay.
Speaker 1There's Baccano and Durarara. Stay with me. One couple. There's Ladruschano and Durarara. Stay with me. One couple there's Lad Russo and a woman Named Lua Klein and Bacchano. And then In Durarara Is Seiji and the girl Well, it's Celty's head, but you know it's been put on a different body and that one's also fairly toxic. So watch Baccano and Durarara. If we review that, I'll review the school days with you Okay Deal that works.
Speaker 2Durarara is actually really good it is good.
Speaker 4I haven't seen it all.
Speaker 2I feel like you went from the left field to the right field almost immediately.
Speaker 4I feel like this is a great compromise and I feel like it's going to be a really fun time.
Speaker 1And, to be fair, it's like, yeah, there are toxic couples in these two shows, but it's more action and drama than anything, so you probably won't get too bored with it listen, you have agreed to do something that no one else would do with me for a reason it's like how. It's like redo of Hila all over again, where I'm like why'd y'all make me watch this show?
Speaker 2look, I had you watch it to understand what the truth of revenge is and that right there you know. Literally mirror jamie, if you want revenge, that's revenge, that is ultimate revenge, right there, but anyway, uh, nah, don't even compare it to that.
Speaker 1See, this is why, okay with science fell in love. See, here's the thing between redo a healer, science fell in love, goblin slayer. It's like maybe it's like that one episode to where I'm just gonna go ahead and skip this episode, because this episode has brought me to a point to where I remember this episode. I don't need to watch this episode anymore.
Speaker 4God bless, you definitely did that to me.
Speaker 1I'm like skip right to episode two. Yeah, okay, Yep Jesus.
Speaker 4You sound so scarred over there. It's going to be fine.
Speaker 2No, I'm scared. I don't know. Jb is going to be a different JB after this. So many things are going to change. I feel like he's going to be fine.
Speaker 1He'll be fine.
Speaker 2I know you hear her voice.
Speaker 1Man Listen, y'all overhyped this shit, oh no.
Speaker 4Oh, no, oh, no, no, no, no. Okay, maybe the issue was Also the fact that school days was my first romance Anime.
Speaker 2No, cause, even though, look, I've had Some bad first romance animes and I Didn't really like romance animes like that, I still am not a big romance person. When it Comes down to it like I like real life as far as watching movies and stuff, I still kind of back away. That's a choice. You chose that.
Speaker 4What you talking about.
Speaker 2It was your first thing and you was like ooh, this awakens something in me.
Speaker 4I think I like this. You make it sound you know what. Maybe it is a little toxic, okay, maybe it is a little toxic, okay.
Speaker 2Maybe it's me. It's literally how me, tuck and JB all look the same when it comes down to Goth emo. You know we saw Ray between Titans as kids. We saw Shego Mm-hmm. Props yeah, the wake is something. Y'all got props. The wake is something.
Speaker 4Yep, it's y'all.
Speaker 1It's not me. I appreciate you.
Speaker 4JB. I can't wait to watch school days with you.
Speaker 2I'm praying for you. I'm praying for y'all both.
Speaker 1Thank you. The main thing is, I just heard things About this show.
Speaker 2To where.
Speaker 1I'm just saying Like Do wannabes Got pilgrims? So fucking bad. But you know that's a toxic.
Speaker 2That was a toxic.
Speaker 1Well, hold on. We already did the animated In movies, though it was a toxic one, whoa. We already did the animated in movies, though.
Speaker 4Yeah, it was pretty toxic. Yeah, it was pretty toxic.
Speaker 2Was pretty Dude, literally. First off was with a high schooler.
Speaker 3Was already.
Speaker 2Much in itself, and then cheated on her Like Y'all intoxicated. What in the world is happening in this show?
Speaker 4Yeah, yeah, that wasn't See. That's not the kind of toxic I like. It's a special type of toxic. Masamune-kun Was right there. It was right there. You like the toxic. Were they too ignorant to be able to?
Speaker 2understand. Masamune-kun was right there. It was right there. Okay, you like the talks where they're too ignorant To be able to understand that they really like each other.
Speaker 1Uh, what about Ruka and Kauzia From Rent-A-Girlfriend?
Speaker 4Yes, yes, yes, that was yeah, that did something for me. Yes, yes, yes, that was yeah, that did something for me, you can hear it.
Speaker 2You heard it, didn't you, jb? You heard her, right, you just did. You heard it be like oh yeah, you heard that voice change we didn't review Rent a Girlfriend yet, so there's that what is happening stay in my blanket review.
Speaker 4Rent a Girlfriend, yet so there's that what is? Happening. Stay in my blanket.
Speaker 3You know that's one of my favorite anime.
Speaker 1I did not.
Speaker 2I did not know that.
Speaker 3I just watched it about six months ago. Or was it Whenever the new season dropped? I think that was about six months ago. Or was that whenever the new season dropped? I think that was about six months ago.
Speaker 1I still can't yeah, because it was still fairly new, like it was a third. No, no, uh, it was a second season, but I think a third season got announced yeah, whenever.
Speaker 3No. I think it was like third season, because when I watched it I was like I was like what I didn't know what it was, and I started with season one, I was like oh my God, I love this.
Speaker 4Doesn't season four drop this year?
Anime Toxic Relationships Discussion
Speaker 1No, hold on, let me check, Because I'm like ain't no goddamn way they telling me y'all gonna have four fucking seasons.
Speaker 3I watched a whole bunch of them. Oh, it was so good. Oh, I love the main character. It is, and you know I like that the 100 Girlforsen really, really, really, really love me.
Speaker 4We in the fourth season right.
Speaker 3Yep.
Speaker 2Yes, See y'all in this scent behavioral nonsense.
Speaker 4Okay, okay, you know what I was gonna ask you about that. What do you mean? How was Masamune's behavior? A scent behavior, like I don't understand? Because I don't understand, because I don't feel like that's simp behavior. He had a mission. It's more like incel behavior. Okay, so I mean, think about it.
Speaker 2I mean no, no, think about it.
Speaker 1You're essentially saying that you're going to go through all this trouble, just like Kugakatsu said. You're going to go through all this trouble, just like Koki Gatsu said. You're going to go through all this trouble just to reject the girl because, oh, she made you feel like she rejected you in the past. And I'm like, bro, like you. This is going to show that, just like what Koki Gatsu was saying, like you're practically so hard focused on rejecting this girl where you're not moving on with your life, to where I'm like, yeah, uh, with your life, to where I'm like, yeah, uh, no, girl's not gonna fuck with you if that's what time you're on, because, like, that's like saying, oh, if you wound his pride to a point to where, oh well, I need to cook up some revenge, ain't no way gonna talk to me like that. I'm like who's gonna fuck with you?
Speaker 2like that look, it's like the same thing with the cheater situation, where it's like one thing, if a person cheat on you once, there's a chance they could probably do it again, and there's always that kind of sits with you for a long time. It's like it's literally that point of like staying with the situation, knowing that there's a good possibility that it could happen, because if they were bold enough to do it before, when it said to your face that they, that they loved you and everything, then that means it can happen again and I'm gonna be with you. That's one of the ones why literally blasphemy is considered is like the only unforgivable sin in the Christian belief and actually a lot of other religions do the same thing when, like literally, you will tell yourself like, oh, they'll be fine, they'll be fine, they'll be fine and it's okay. Like I do appreciate them, I love them.
Speaker 3But then your actions don't reflect that and it's like that's why I say hey, look, I think he meant adultery. Yeah, I'm gonna tell you like this, right here if I get cheated on, you can cancel Christmas, I'm gonna stay with you just so I can cheat. I'm gonna cheat like crazy too.
Speaker 2I'm talking about just keeping the circle ahead. Keep going, bro. Hey, hurt people, hurt people, and I'm talking about Just keeping the circle ahead.
Speaker 3Keep going, bro. Hey, hurt people, hurt people, and I'm going to hurt the people and then I'm going to leave. I want to make sure I hurt you.
Speaker 2People can forgive and move on, bro.
Speaker 3Yeah, but I'm pettier than Kendra Lamar at the Super Bowl. I don't know about that. I doubt that. I doubt that I'm pettier than you. I'm going to be good, loving, faithful, and then, in the middle of that, I'm cheating. I'm cheating with your best friend.
Speaker 1It was like one dude, future, wanted an autograph From he. What's it? Russell Flipped with the wife of some Dude Because he wouldn't get An autograph from him. Like that's the kind of petty that, um Not gonna lie, I kinda Respect, but I like it's funny how you An autograph.
Speaker 4Over an autograph you know how many times.
Speaker 2You know how many stories there are in history Of dudes that literally with like, get so upset and be like, okay, I'm gonna be so petty, I'm gonna go ahead and get your wife or something like that, and literally do it just because like yeah, just because you didn't say yes, just because you didn't agree to stay, and I'm like seriously though, they're on the same type of petty history repeats itself.
Speaker 3That's a fact, even if you look like, biblically, david boy, let me tell you. But David was in the water with somebody Wiping.
Speaker 2What.
Speaker 3Yeah, it be like that sometimes I.
Speaker 4Good lord See.
Speaker 1That's crazy. Anime it's like Damn, I can't really think of Toxic couples that much.
Speaker 4Hmm, you know who the most toxic Person of all time is right.
Speaker 3Who? Michael Joseph Jackson? Yep, michael Jackson, most toxic person of all time.
Speaker 1Okay, I'm gonna need you to explain it.
Speaker 3Yeah, you can explain it.
Speaker 4I need to understand.
Speaker 3I watched a video on this and I'm gonna send you the link. But I just want you to know that Michael Jackson Made a whole display In a song About a girl that he had for one night only, and he would think about the pussy for like 20 years. And then I know you're talking about Billie Jean.
Speaker 3Nope, nope, all right. So Michael Jackson got some pussy one night right. Then the girl moved on with her life, didn't think about him at all. And then there was this dude he married her, took her to Wakanda or Zamunda or something like that.
Speaker 2I don't even talk about man in the mirror.
Speaker 3And then, no, no, no, he took her to Zamunda, wakanda, something like that. And then, like she was bored with him, right, so since she was so bored with him, he started throwing talent shows at the house. He invited all kind of people. You mean, remember the time he invited all kind of people to come through? And then a random, Michael Jackson showed up talking about do you remember the time we fucked? Oh my God, You're crazy.
Speaker 3Oh my God, no you didn't All that man, that's all. Michael Jackson paid it. Man he pulled up. Michael Johnson did.
Speaker 4You're saying remember the time, Never mind. Nah, you know what In?
Speaker 1the house.
Speaker 3Nah, he's talking about that. One time he was getting some pussy.
Speaker 1You know what?
Speaker 4I mean he said when we fell in love Like I don't. Okay.
Speaker 1You know one thing that I find kind of funny when you do sleep with a girl and it's like doesn't matter how trash you were during the coitus, it doesn't matter how bad your attitude is after that and whatnot, and it's like, oh, you still ain't seeing, blah, blah, blah. And then he just hits you with a still hit though no matter what it is like, still hit, just it's undefeatable. I'm like I still hit though.
Speaker 4Nope, nope, nope, nope. I'm like I'm still here, though, mm-mm, nope, mm-mm. Nope, nope, mm-mm, I can't believe you mean, and it was still trash, and it was still trash, nah.
Speaker 3I really don't like that because, like I'm talking to this girl, long term, long term. We smashing every day and then we break up All of a sudden. Sudden. The only thing you could say is well, that's why it's so small, but it's magically so small three years later.
Speaker 4Oh okay, well, you know what somebody said this to me and and I believe them because it it must be true. Okay, they said that while the love is there, the size does not matter. Now, as soon as the love leave, the size began to matter yeah, size most definitely. Oh, you all right for me get into this conversation I don't know how we got here, but we're here I love to say why we got here.
Speaker 3because Masa Mune wasn't putting it down with the cruel princess. That's the whole problem. Never mind, that's the whole problem. If he would have gotten with Commando girl, he wouldn't have had none of these problems. She was ready, she was willing. She said, hey, you want to take care of this right now. She was like you can take me home right now. She invited him to the house.
Speaker 2The parents, said take home the parents was not home. She didn't even wait until they got to the house. She was like we can go do it. She went to the bathroom. I was like wait.
Speaker 1No, no, no, it gotta be the gym storage room. You know how in anime you go. It's all about that gym storage room.
Speaker 2Oh God, Everything goes down in the gym storage room.
Speaker 3No, I'm thinking they did have that mandatory beach episode too.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Every anime has to have a beach. Yeah, yeah, because that's the main vacation. Vacation is going on the beach. You literally live on the island. Vacation is going to be the beach. That's just what it is yeah.
Speaker 3And then Aki automatically had a beach house for her parents and let me tell you about that girl that was there, the man-hating girl that taught Aki how to man-hate Bruh Most. That joke was too funny.
Speaker 4That was funny.
Speaker 1Hey, you know what? I know we were talking about how Masamune went with Commando Princess. But if we want to talk about Toxic, I would say, masamune, you should stick with Aki for the money.
Speaker 4Oh my God. What if he would have got with her bankrupt? Oh my god.
Speaker 3That sounds like a plan.
Speaker 2Nah, that's a thing Get the money first.
Speaker 1Ooh, that's the real revenge Right there.
Speaker 3Yeah, no, prenup enough, it's strictly love Walking on sunshine. Okay, why you?
Speaker 1trying to get the government all involved in our bullshit. Like I thought you loved me.
Speaker 4I'm not trying to get the government involved.
Speaker 3You gonna let these papers come between our love?
Speaker 1Oh, so you don't trust me.
Speaker 3I gotta fight every night to prove my love.
Speaker 4No, you didn't Take it back. Y'all can take that back, both of y'all.
Speaker 3Well, masamune should've man, it should've been his master plan.
Speaker 1I thought when we stood on that altar it was Jeff's, you was part and you wanna talk about some papers.
Speaker 4Mm-mm on that altar. It was death to us part. And you want to talk about some papers? We'll sign them later. Just go ahead and say yes.
Speaker 3You want to involve the government in our relationship?
Speaker 4It's been five minutes of happiness. What's wrong with you?
Speaker 3Girl, you ain't put no executive order on our relationship.
Speaker 2I literally ain't with y'all.
Speaker 1I thought we had something special, MJ Okay.
Speaker 2You know what? This is a great reflection of how crazy this anime went. This is exactly how this anime went. Every single time. We thought she was On subject for something, something that was nonsensical and weird happening. You just like where am I watching? Why am I?
Speaker 3here. How did we get here? Baby, baby, I'd have been like, I'd have been like MJ. See this one, gwen would have never Did me like this.
Speaker 1Wow.
Speaker 4Wow, gwen would have never did me like this, oh, wow.
Speaker 3Wow, you got to tell me how hard it was. We just breaking up dead bitches, huh.
Speaker 4So that's what we doing. We just breaking up dead bitches.
Speaker 3You know breaking spines, you know all that. Wow, it's just a little scoliosis.
Speaker 1You know what this reminds me of how I slipped and almost caught one of my other bitches. You know what I'm saying CJD Mm-mm.
Speaker 4That's why you definitely signed in the papers.
Speaker 2Slipping on somebody's name.
Speaker 4You definitely signed in the papers.
Speaker 3Okay, Usher Ready to sign them papers.
Speaker 2What you're supposed to do is sign it with the fake name. Why y'all doing the most on that?
Speaker 1Board dream. You're supposed to sign Daffy Duck.
Speaker 3Daffy Duck Every time.
Speaker 1It's going to be some scribble scribble. Sir, is this your signature? This ain't Daffy Duck. It's gonna be some chicken scratch on scribbles. Grab them, I mean, you saw me with my pin my hand.
Speaker 4I'm writing on it. Do you see what you know? Is you not gonna plagiarize your own name? What you not gonna do?
Speaker 1Nah, I'm gonna be one of those motherfuckers that have, like It'll be like stamped, like shit. Like you know how some folks Like they don't even sign a name, they just like have it like a custom made and they just stamp their signature.
Speaker 2Oh, my god, oh, you know my name ain't even what you think it is. I'm just saying See, all y'all.
Speaker 4It's y'all see, it ain't even me. Okay, I didn't bring up no prenup, y'all brought it up. I just want to put that out there.
Speaker 1But, you entertained me. I don't know who brought up the prenup. Honestly, I'm just rolling with it. I'm like look, look, look. I did not pour the tea, but I will stir it up.
Speaker 4Oh my God, I can't with y'all.
Speaker 1Because of love.
Speaker 4Out here not signing prenups. What I told y'all I didn't sign one Nope, y'all.
Speaker 2I ain't signed one nope.
Speaker 3oh, I don't mind it, you know who did the go-go, that limo driver for Aki, ooh.
Speaker 1I mean that's if you want to go through those hoops and hurdles of marriage. You know that's if you want to go through those hoops and hurdles of marriage. You know that's if you want to. Though.
Speaker 3Was that limo driver for Aki? Or was that the commando girl? I can't remember.
Speaker 1Wait, what was the question?
Speaker 4Who had the limo driver? Was it Aki or the commando girl?
Speaker 1They both was rich. Oh, no, no yeah. They were both rich Like yeah, no, no yeah.
Speaker 3Rich people with problems. Now the commando girl.
Speaker 1I bet you my limo's longer than your limo.
Speaker 3Which one would y'all rather roll with? Who would y'all rather be with?
Speaker 1I would say Necco, because at least it's guaranteed that she's not going to give me a headache from all the yelling.
Speaker 2Ain't that good?
Speaker 3Yeah, that's who they're hungry in five minutes.
Speaker 1Now it's okay me on roads in McDonald's.
Speaker 2Me and sup wind up. Reviewing Was the name of that in anime dude that went to another world. Then he had to have multiple wives and stuff with the rings oh, oh, until the wedding rings oh yeah. So uh, for me it's gonna be commando girl, because it's just like cat, just like the cat girl in that one. She was just ready day one, as soon as it was like, alright, come on, let's do this. I'm not giving up.
Speaker 3Hold on, hold on.
Speaker 1I know it's like a short anime, but what about Peter Grill, to where it seems like he's always cheating on this one girl that he loves? But it's like I can't help it. These women keep coming on to me and shit.
Speaker 2It's called self control.
Speaker 4You know that sounds like that sounds like something else that we're going to end up watching. So Can't wait. What about you, jb? You said Deco, yeah, can't wait. What about you, JB? You said echo yeah.
Speaker 1Because I said, at least you probably won't annoy me with all the yelling.
Speaker 4I mean, I ain't really. I mean, I'm Muriel, honestly if anything. Okay, I like Muriel and she was French and she had, and she was French, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Speaker 2And she had a back tattoo. Oh my goodness, what that's right. She did have a. What was it? People call it a tramp stamp, I think because it was right about there.
Speaker 4That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1I mean, you know, there's probably this one anime that I watch. Um, y'all got anything else on Masamune Kun's revenge? Like to be?
Speaker 2honest with you. We did. We hit pretty much the whole points with everything. It was turned into a harem. Didn't really expect it to.
Speaker 3We hit all the best points, alright, cool. It's just the French dude that wanted his sister to talk to Masamune.
Speaker 2He just said I want my sister happy you gonna do whatever she says. It's just the French dude that wanted his sister to talk to Masa Mune. He just said I want my sister happy You're going to do whatever she says. So I'm going to handle it.
Exploring Taboo Themes in Anime
Speaker 1Yeah, that's a fact. Well, you know, we had to fluff up this episode because it was going to feel a little too short, but um, I got anything else on toxic relationships in general.
Speaker 2What's with this sister? Complex nonsense that's happening in anime.
Speaker 3I don't know, Hello. My favorite one is from Black Clover, though I'm gonna tell you.
Speaker 2What oh?
Speaker 4I had to sit up there and think. I was like what's this I had to think about there and think I was like what sister I had to think about that.
Speaker 1Oh wait, you mean the, not the literal sister, but like the, the religious one. Okay, no not the religious one the real one wait not sister.
Speaker 3What's her name? Marie? With the mirror, with the mirror power.
Speaker 1He pulled out that picture of Marie. I'm going to rewatch Black Cloverfield.
Speaker 3What you know, the dude with the mirror power. He do mirror magic.
Speaker 1Oh.
Speaker 3I forgot his name, no.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, yeah I don't know.
Speaker 3I've been watching. You know what? Never mind.
Speaker 2I just cannot with this sister nonsensical bullshit Like what is happening to this. I started watching Mashup. Like y'all know, I'm watching Mashup, yeah.
Speaker 3Yeah, ghost, yeah I started watching mashup.
Speaker 2Like y'all know, I'm watching mashup, mashup, yeah, yeah, ghost yeah, but like that dude had a sister complex in that one and it's like it's such a weird thing I'm thinking first, I thought it was one-off thing. You said who I blame porn hook see them at least they try to put in step. They always make an emphasis to put step in. My stepsister and her friends Stuck in the driveway Stepsies.
Speaker 1But even then it's kind of crazy how far it got, to where it's like you'll probably roll through the hub, but you see like hundreds, if not thousands, to a point to where you know what y'all kind of turn me off from porn because, the most popular thing right now.
Speaker 1Yes, I'm going to go ahead and say that right now because I know I ain't ashamed well, you know how to say taboo things like the forbidden is also the most enticing to I. Taboo things like the forbidden is also the most enticing to. I guess that's what the thing is, where it's like okay, it's not to me, no, no, it's like it's like treading a shade of grades where you can disagree if you want to, because, like honestly, I'm right there with you, but I'm just saying that. I'm thinking that in their mind, it's a shade of grades where, oh well, we're not blood related.
Speaker 2So you know it reminds me a lot of but even then, but like no. You know, Hidden Ninja should have been on this one, because this dude right here literally all the way back to high school then had me watch that doggone teeth movie Nonsense. You ain't never seen it. What movie, teeth?
Speaker 3I'm not familiar with that one you talking about, like Chip Skylar.
Speaker 2Nah, teeth is about a movie. It's a movie about so this girl, she's, she gets to, she literally she's with her dad, dad, um, wife passes and stuff, and so he wants to remarry into a different relationship. She was like a little girl at this time and and the, the wife that he wound up marrying, has a little boy boy. At first it seems like he kind of likes the girl as a little sister type of thing, but as he gets older it's clear that he's very intense onto the fact that, yeah, you're my stepsister, so that means we can do whatever we want to do, and it becomes a whole thing into that. But then there's also she's trying to live her life but you find out that in her vagina she has teeth down there. Oh yes.
Speaker 1I heard of this movie by Daniel.
Speaker 3Moore oh hell, no, this movie is scarring to me?
Speaker 4No, absolutely not.
Speaker 2But the whole background premise of the movie. I don't know, forgive me if I'm spoiling it for you guys, but it's a very old movie. You may or may not want to watch it. Clearly they don't, and I don't know. So give me if I'm spoiling for you guys, but I mean, it's a very old movie. You may or may not want to watch it, clearly they don't. But, and I don't blame them, but the premise of the movie is the fact that these women were like warriors way back in the day and what they would do is they would pretend. They would like, uh, pretend that they would seduce these guys, like how spies, like female ninjas, would do so you know um would do and like what they would do is they would sleep with the guys but then, while they're doing intercourse, they'd chomp off their member.
Speaker 2So they'd die and bleed to death.
Speaker 3I'm staying away from all of them. I'm staying away from their third cousin.
Speaker 4Okay, you know what? Just a question. Okay, this may be, I don't know.
Speaker 2I probably should save this question for after dark episode I feel like this one already went to an after dark episode.
Speaker 4No answer right now no, I mean, it's a general question. It's not a bad question. I'm just curious because I'm, because I'm not A connoisseur Of the videos, you know what I'm saying. Like that ain't my thing. What is like, what's so appealing About it? Like that, I've never really Watched it. I know, I know, I know it's probably like At all.
Speaker 2You know, she don't watch the proms. That's what she's saying.
Speaker 3Yeah, you've never Really watched it, or you know Of it like I know of it.
Speaker 4I know it like, I mean, like I've gone to the web but as in like me watching it watching it for entertainment, for self-entertainment you mean no, oh uh, what's the?
Speaker 2appeal no, I think she's meaning that she has it, that you don't do it, for that it doesn't appeal to you. And you're trying to question what is the appeal to us, why it is that. Is that what you're asking?
Speaker 4Yes.
Speaker 3Oh, that's very simple. It's quick, it's easy, it's to the point. You can also get stuff you don't necessarily want in real life but just want to see. It's just like watching sports. You know what I mean. You want to see hockey for the fights and for the blood and the vomit bouncing off ice, but you don't necessarily want to play it because it's too dangerous. Enough ice, but you don't necessarily want to play it because it's too dangerous.
Speaker 1I would say I agree with how Tuck put it, but I would just add on and say it's more like for the dopamine hit to where it's like, oh, you just want to feel something. But then again, once that post-clarity fades away, then it's like, eh well, now I feel worse.
Speaker 3It's like why was I looking at this?
Speaker 1I'm so disgusted With myself. Okay.
Speaker 2I'll be honest, I have never felt that If I felt like it was going to be disgusting halfway through, I would get that Like wait, this does not go the way I want it to and I turn it off. Well, you wasn't watching the right categories.
Speaker 1I'm watching a lot of categories no, it's almost like imagine you watching it. It's like imagine you're just watching it and it's like it gets to the good part and then you climax and you're just watching like male ass, like no, not at this Board.
Speaker 2The imagination is going to be your biggest key Point and your biggest key factor into this, because if you can imagine it, it's like that's pretty much the biggest Thing if you were so intent On realism, because it's fine and I Understand, forgive me. It's gonna be a Quick psychological break because I gotta get off of this, but not just the subject, but off the podcast. We've gone on for quite some time, but the thing about it is it's going to be psychological aspects into it. Some people, like professor tuck, said you know, the visualization is enough, but some people have to actually physically, um, aspire to it. It's one of those ones that visualization isn't enough. It doesn't seem like it's enough. It's not activating my other senses.
Speaker 2Some people have like a stronger imagination to it. Looking at it, they just imagine that they're there in the moment it's, they can feel, they can smell it, they can feel it like this. They feel like they're probably sweating, just like they're sweating or something like that. It's just one of those moments of it becomes that intense to them, because imagination and everything just kind of connects like that. However, there are some and you may wind up falling into this other category, and it's not that you have a limited imagination. It's just the fact that the imagination factor doesn't appeal to you because you so badly want that to be you versus the. I just want to appeal to it. So as long as it's becoming, because you're not physically doing it, you're not physically there at the moment, it doesn't attest to you.
Speaker 2I'm very similar when it comes to pictures some people used to be when I was a kid. It was like you don't ever take pictures and stuff and I still really don't, because pictures to me just usually means like you, you know, I was there for a moment. I'd much rather be there to enjoy it than just look at the picture and just remember that oh, I used to do this but I never did it again, type of thing, and it's all just based upon the mentality thing in itself. So there's no show if it doesn't fit for you, it just doesn't fit for you. That's just because you actually want to be in that moment that it fit for you. That's just because you actually want to be in that moment. That's what you aspire into is being in the moment, right there, not thinking that you're in the moment, not imagining that you're in the moment, but physically actually being in the moment and doing it at that moment, at that time. Does that help?
Speaker 4um, yeah, I got definitely a lot of information and also now I understand the terms post-mortem clarity. I did not understand that before.
Speaker 1Somebody just said to me and I was like I don't know what you're talking about, yeah, like yeah like I said, it was like more like for the dopamine hits where you kind of want to like refresh it's like you know how, like when you're actually doing it with somebody and the first like I want to say, five minutes after that you have like this afterglow, think that it's like. Imagine that, for like every time you climb back to this shit like, but then again it when when you first start doing it it's really good, but then eventually it's like and you know what's the point anymore like I don't know.
Anime Review
Speaker 2See, I'm into some weird stuff, so I can still watch it, even afterwards. The fact, the post, the pn clarity for me is just the fact that I'm like, yep, I did watch that and I'm probably gonna watch it again, so I can still watch it, even afterwards. The fact the pn clarity for me is just the fact that I'm like, yep, I did watch that and I'm probably gonna watch it again, so I'm gonna go ahead and save that video for next time. I don't know, this is me.
Speaker 3Yeah, save it and and I gotta dictate what number. I stopped that so I can start back over again, right?
Speaker 2you've been hitting that last one. You'd be like, okay, I stopped this one at exactly. Let's see, this was a 30 minute video. I lasted to 25 minutes. Oh man, that means I might as well just find another video Cause.
Speaker 3I'm not lasting 25. I'm not lasting.
Speaker 2I think we've said too much. I think we've said too much.
Speaker 3I was just saying don't nobody know me like me.
Speaker 4TMI, tmi.
Speaker 3This is too after dark help me. Yeah, uh, we gotta migrate to the after dark yeah, you know what we pretty much done.
Speaker 1Like we went way off masamune kun's Revenge. I would say let's go ahead and rate the show. I would rate Masamune Kun's Revenge 3 out of 5 because I do like the premise and it did get funny here and there but outside of that.
Speaker 1And it did get funny here and there but Outside of that it just did get Really crazy for me to a point when I would say I'm kind of with Mirajane To a sense where, if you're going to be a toxic relationship, I want to actually like See some wild shit Going on between you two, like some real hijinks, like almost like dandy dan um with uh okaroon and momo, but they're not really talked to about it, but like I'm gonna say kind of like that kind of dynamics where it's like they're kind of at each other's throat and like weird shit going on. But I don't know, it's like. Premise was fine, but I thought of that.
Speaker 2It was just another rom-com for me yeah, I'm gonna say six out of ten. Uh, pretty much very similar to you, but for me I'm also I'm dropping it lower because the animation change, because the animation change spoiled of quite a few things and, like I said, that whole storyline that was built up until the end of season one completely spoiled at the very first episode of season two just because they changed the animation. And I'm still frustrated about that because I'm like how do you? You just ruined your own show by doing that I agree.
Speaker 3Uh, I'm with jb three out of five. I would just say season one would be four out of five because you know there was room for advancement and growth. But with the changes in season two the art style change, the, the animation change to the actual studio change it just was. It was too much, especially with the time frame of the Between Seasons, because it was similar to that other show that was a spin-off of Sword Art Online with the pig. I can't remember the name of it.
Speaker 1Excel World.
Speaker 3Yeah, Excel World. Sort of like that. The time frame Between Seasons was just too long.
Speaker 1We need to review that, by the way.
Speaker 3Yeah, excel World was good too. So much room that one was good too. So much that one was good, so much room. But like, yeah, I concur with that, because the time frame between was too long. Then they tried to do all these changes. And you can't change something 10 years later. Come on now. Yeah.
Speaker 4Mira Jane, you're ready.
Speaker 1Yeah, mira Jane, your rating.
Speaker 4It's a 5 out of 10.
Speaker 1Mid.
Speaker 4I was really hoping for that. I was really into it, of course, for the revenge plot. I was really into it for Everything that I've stated throughout this whole entire conversation at this point, um I want you know what.
Speaker 1You know what it is, since we were talking about death, no, not too long ago. I want to see that light yagmi level of all of toxic, a mischief going on with um masamune. It's where you kind of it's like, whenever you like clear the flag, so to speak, like whenever he's like wearing her down and like, okay, missing um successful and whatnot, and then in the side you like he's doing that light yagami phase.
Speaker 4They're like yes, yes, I needed a little more of that menacing like I wish he was a little bit more cold-hearted.
Anime Meme Template Creation
Speaker 1That would have been better yeah, it's almost like you're just in your feelings and you're just trying to be petty by doing this whole plan, but it just wasn't diabolical enough it wasn't toxic enough for me it wasn't Kendrick Lamar enough agreed. It definitely wasn't that that wasn't very Kung Fu Kenny of you, sir we're going to make that a phrase.
Speaker 2We're going to use that for now. I'm going to make a a phrase.
Speaker 4We're going to use that for now. It wasn't very good for any of you.
Speaker 2I'm going to make a meme template of this right now. I got a perfect picture to send to you. We're going to do this right now.
Speaker 4Oh my goodness, yes please.
Speaker 2Alright I think we're done. I got to get off.
Speaker 1We're going to go ahead and close it out. Uh, thank you all for being on the show. Thank you, the listener, for listening to us to the end. Have yourself a good morning, afternoon and good night and, ultimately, you go ahead and take it easy on this season of love and nerdiness.
