A world that throws people away doesn’t just create garbage, it creates monsters. Gachiakuta drops us into a brutal class system where the wealthy Spherites dumps its “trash” into the Pit, and what falls to the Ground turns into pollution, danger, and trash beasts that won’t die to normal weapons. We break down why that setting hits so hard, how the story uses prejudice and elitism as real fuel for the conflict, and why the show’s graffiti punk vibe and urban sound make it feel different from the usual dark fantasy anime.

We also get into the power system that’s got us hooked: vital instruments. Givers don’t just pick up weapons, they awaken everyday objects by pouring anima into what they genuinely value. That idea changes everything, because combat becomes personal, and strength comes from care, memory, and experience. From Rudo’s Watchmen gloves and their three-object trick to the larger mystery of the Watchmen series, we talk mechanics, strategy, and why this concept could translate perfectly into the Gachiakuta video game we’re both waiting on.

Then we go character by character: why Rudo works as a revenge-driven MC with real personality, why Enjin feels like the cool big-brother leader, why Zanka screams long-term payoff, and why Riyo might be the breakout star with a fighting style that’s all gas and no damsel nonsense. We don’t dodge the darker turns either, including Amo’s backstory and what it exposes about knee-jerk fandom reactions, plus the Raiders, the Hell Guard, and the theories we’re cooking about the hooded figure and Rudo’s deeper connection to the past. If you rock with anime reviews, shounen power systems, and dark fantasy world building, hit play, subscribe, share the show, and leave a review. What’s your Gachiakuta rating right now?

Quick Intro And First Impressions

SPEAKER_00

What up gang? It's the Zone Podcast back at it again with another review. This time we're gonna be talking about Gotcha Cuda. I'm JB and joining me is Playboy. And let's go ahead and zone right in on it. Uh Playboy, how you feeling about Gotcha Cuda as it stands today?

SPEAKER_01

Today, man, Gotcha Cuda for new gen anime. It definitely came in and I won't say set the tone, but it made a good impression. You know what I'm saying? For the new gen animation. The animation was decent. The the plot, I'm I'm fucking with the plot. It's very unique in like character design. The power system is really what's getting me. Like the whole um, what do they call them? Um damn, the items that they be having.

SPEAKER_00

The uh vital instruments, vital instruments, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like how the how to how to uh I mean and it made me think what mine would be, you know what I'm saying? Like, what do I have that means something to me that would be my vital instrument? So it was it's a very unique anime. I'm I'm I'm liking what it's got so far. And I heard they got a game coming out. Okay, yeah, I'm looking forward for that as well. Um, I I it good, like it looked like it got a good promise in the future for it. I'm definitely looking forward to a season two and more characters. I'm pretty sure there's more characters to be introduced. You know what I'm saying? I like the plot so far. It's very unique and what it's delivering.

SPEAKER_00

Gotcha.

World Setup And Vital Instruments

SPEAKER_00

I feel uh uh speaking of what let's go ahead and do the expository dump. Uh, you're gonna have to excuse me because it's gonna be kind of a lie, but I swear I'm gonna get right back to you. So, Gotcha Cuda takes place in a dystopian world where there exists a floating countryside structure known as the sphere, which runs on a social caste system that divides the rich and the wealthy society from the poor, trice both quote unquote living around the outer perimeter, descending from notorious criminals and exiled by the upper class by way of a heavily guarded wall. Both sides of the cash dump, the trash and unwanted waste, as well as people convicted of any crime down the pit, is this never-ending expanses below the sphere, and in which the uh spherites, the inhabitants of the sphere, uh deemed inhospitable to all forms of life. Unbeknownst to those spherites, though, beyond the pit and the border, separating it from the sphere, lies the ground. This lawless wasteland with mostly toxic environment infested with the spherite waste due to the constant downpour of trash from the sphere. Its heavily polluted areas are often roamed about by trash beasts, living creatures that's literally made of trash. Now, amongst its various inhabitants and wandering troublemakers, mostly survived being thrown down to the pit by the sphere rights and has since made a thriving civilized network of towns. There exists the cleaners, a group of superpowered individuals known as givers, which specialize with handling odd jobs and exterminating trash fees as uh conventional weaponry does not work on them due to the regenerative uh properties. Each giver has access to their respective vital instruments, these powerful weapons converted from everyday objects by infusing them with the giver's own capacity to generate anima from their body. Often the only thing capable of taking down trash beast vital instruments are usually the manifestation of a giver's love and care for these treasure objects, allowing their anima to awaken and make these worthless items valuable in combat. Additionally, the longer a giver attends to their value object with love and care, the more seasoned and better it'll become as a vital instrument, thus improving its quality and making it stronger, uh, as it serves as a conduit of a giver's own experience and ideology as a person. Amongst the many vital instruments used by the various givers of the ground, there also exists the Watchmen series, a set of five uh very powerful vital instruments that was said to be connected to the Watchmen, uh, this gigantic, incomprehensible being guarding the border between the sphere and the ground, and that usually requires the wielder to have lost something in their life to use them without going insane from their power. So the story is centered around Rudo living in the slums of a wealthy society among the tribes folk, a population descended from criminals in the society. I explained that already. Uh, Ruto detests the upper classes' wastefulness as they often dump anything they deem trash, including criminals, into the pit. And Rudo was told by his foster father, Recto, that his biological father was dumped into the pit for a crime before Ruto was born. Uh, one day, after ranging through a dump site, Ruto returns home to find Reto' murder. Apprehended at the scene, Rudo was immediately charged with murder despite being innocent due to his status of a tribesman and unable to escape his fate. He just swears revenge upon the people and is dumped into the pit. After being dumped, uh, Ruto awakens to find himself disoriented in this foul-smelling, endless landscape of trash, get attacked by large beasts, got rescued by Enjun, uh, one of the leaders of the cleaners. And after that, you know, Enjin tried to get him into the gong gang. Bruto was against it at first, but you know, at this point, he might as well work together with the cleaners if he's gonna have any chance of getting back up to the sphere and exact his revenge. And essentially, he just, you know, get acquaintance with his powers, um, get to know what vital instruments are, what givers are, uh, all this other shit going down. And yeah, that's pretty much the plot.

Rudo As A Main Character

SPEAKER_00

Uh, we're gonna be going ahead and talking about the characters real quick. Uh, for starters, Rudo. Uh, Playboy, how do you feel about Ruto?

SPEAKER_01

As an MC, I like him. He does, he reminds me of um Sakura from Windbreaker, though. Like, you know how they kind of like come from what like a different place into a new group, but they have like this um hard shell, like a wall-up type of demeanor. You know what I'm saying? Like, they don't really like they're socially awkward, and trying to express themselves, always come off funny, and I like how Bruno, when he tries to smile, is fucking creepy, like Asta. Like every time they always get scared to defeat the purpose of what he's trying to do. So it's always like some little common relief in that. Um, I like I when he did pick up on, you know, when he showed the side of him that like when people trash something and he was like, no, it's not trash, it's valuable. I was like, that's true. You know what I'm saying? And that that shows a part of his character as you know what I'm saying, as he is, you know what I'm saying, part of his trait. And that's you know, that's that's a real thing. You know what I'm saying? A lot of people do throw things away. Like one man's trash is another man's treasure, and that's right. I got from that wholeheartedly. Um, I like Rudolso so far. I don't got as an MC, I think he's a great MC. I don't see nobody else in a show better MC than him that.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, you know, set this up. You remember when a little while ago we were talking about uh protagonist like Yusuke, you're a messy to where uh you don't see protagonists like him just uh running hands on just about anybody. Um he don't like to uh Ruto kind of fits that description now when you get to episode 12. But to be fair, I'm like when you get to episode 13, I'm like, okay, uh we're gonna talk about, we're gonna talk about, but uh, I'm just saying, like the fact that Ruto just uh running hands on Armo like that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that was crazy, yeah. Yeah, he didn't give a damn. I thought that and it's crazy because watching that part, it washing it like the buildup to it, and them damn near letting him do it. I didn't really expect him to go that hard. I ain't gonna I was like, damn, you still whooping her.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was like that on one scene from the Sims, like, no, no, no, she wasn't dead, but like I was just saying, like, I'm like, all right, all right, bro. Like calm down now. Like, like you forgetting the whole point where we're here. Like, we're just asking questions, like, and then you're like, oh shit. Yeah. Imagine being a cop and you're like the suspects uh pissing you off to a point that you start beating them down, and you're just like, hey bro, hey, hey, we just here to ask questions, dog. Like, you kind of make this look bad. Yeah, yeah, like facts. That's not what we came. But yeah, for the most part, I'm fucking with Rudolph. See, I'm kinda getting fucking sick of these protagonists where just feel like they okay, they're like the chosen one type, like they're like the strongest or whatever. Um they like this unique ability or whatnot, so they have some sort of importance to the plot, but they have no personality, though. It's they feel like a blank slate as far as the personality. But Bruno, nah, like at least he has the revenge plot, and also, yeah, like you say, he's like socially awkward, so he's trying to smile, even though he's comedically failing. Oh my god, those faces, dog. Oh yeah, those be killing me. Yeah, like at least Ruto feels like a person, so I'm like, okay, I fuck with her. I'll fuck with her.

SPEAKER_02

She was watching the track.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, next guy, we got Engine, uh, fellow member of the Cleaners, saves Rudo from the Horda Trash Beats, as I mentioned before. He carries Oh oh, before I forget, uh Ruto's uh vital instrument, uh 3R, uh a pair of gloves from the Watchmen series that was given to him by Rex before his death. Uh Rudo's gloves allow him to give life to any three options he wields, which is mainly trash since items are still in good condition, it's harder for him to use. Uh, he will turn them into weapons or tools, though they will crumble after they have served their purpose. Uh keep in mind that with Rudo, he had like this uh fucked up hands, so he keeps uh the gloves on at all times. Uh he also can focus animal energy from three separate items into one item, boosting that specific item's power and even changing its form. So I want to say he he was kind of giving me ghostwriter vibes for a second with the chains and

Rudo’s Gloves And How They Work

SPEAKER_00

shit. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Now that was kind of hard. I like how he could do that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Now uh engine. Uh now again back to him. His vital instrument is the umbreaker, which takes the form of umbrella, and he's also the leader of Team Akuda, one of the teams that composed of the Queeners. Uh, any notes on Engine? Because I feel like he's like, you know, not much to say on him other than he's he seemed like the cool older brother type character.

SPEAKER_01

He gives, you know, he's he's like the side character that like most fans are probably gonna pick over the MC. Like he's the cool one, he's the aura one, like, you know, like the fan favorite. Like there's always a fan favorite in always like every anime aside from the MC, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, well, I would say I feel you, but there was someone else I had in mind, but we'll we'll get to that character when we get there.

SPEAKER_01

I might I think I know who I think I know who you lean it towards. I like I think I don't know, but that's what I feel like Engine was giving like when he was in, like, you know what I said the first episode, just his appearance, the blonde hair, the haircut, the umbrella.

SPEAKER_00

But he definitely like the big brother of the whole like but listen, I'm fucking with all the dribble, every character. Like they're crazy. No, you know, being in the slums and all that shit, like hey no, like they look clean. I'm thinking that shit on.

SPEAKER_01

They will maintain to be surrounded by trash literally all their lives. Like, there ain't no way you dug this up out the fucking trash. I guess if you adapt to it, I mean they they they I fought with it, like I was saying, that's that's that's another thing I was giving it to, like the creator, like she herself like got some swag to her, you know what I mean? And she was wasn't she an assistant of for uh another anime. Um she was an assistant on for Fire Force, a Soul Eater. She was an assistant. Creator? Yeah, she was an assistant on it.

SPEAKER_00

You said uh Soul Eater or Fire Force?

SPEAKER_01

Uh I want to say Soul Eater.

SPEAKER_00

All right, hold on.

SPEAKER_01

She was an assistant. Like she yeah, she worked with the creator, you know, those shows, but I want to say she was an assistant on Soul Eater.

SPEAKER_00

She was defending my. I might look into that later because uh I don't want to get too derailed, but like yeah, that's like engine down. I might look back into it. I might look back to that. But uh, next character, uh, we got Zanka Nichiku, uh hardworking cleaner, master combatant, recruited by Engine and part of Team Akuda. His vital instrument is the staff light weapon called Lovely Assist Steph, which is activated becomes the sharp and metal. And he's from this noble family from the uh Kamuitari district, who got this long-stand connections with the Hellguards, a group of people who fight criminal givers, and was initially trained to be a Hellguard like his older siblings. However, after being beaten by another trainee um named Heo, he sat inside a well hoping to die before being found by NGEN and Rio and later joined the clearance with them. Uh, any thoughts on him?

SPEAKER_01

He's honestly my favorite one.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I like Donker, man. He's he's my favorite one. I

Engine And Zanka Highlights

SPEAKER_01

feel like granted, he was the first one to go through the same the hardship, like the damn near death experience. And I was definitely hoping to not take my point out early. I was feeling him, you know what I'm saying? The weapon, the backstory, the the motives. Like, he's not the flashy character. He's like one of those son of characters that like they don't get too much attention. I ain't gonna say not too much, but you'll probably pay more attention to Jabber, the guy who beat him, you'll probably pay more attention to him, Engine, um, even the MC, you know what I mean? Like, I feel like he'll get slightly over. There's a lot of characters in the show. You know what I'm saying? But when it comes to Zaga, like the fighting style, his adaptability, like, matter of fact, I'm like what really relates me to him is after the fight and his recovery, when they went to go check up on him and they wanted to know what I'm saying, do things for him, he was reassuring him like, nah, that was me. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, if the spell is to help me, and you know what I'm saying, that means I'm slacking. In the best case, that means I'm already losing. And since I lost, that just means I need to get stronger. You know what I'm saying? They're saying it in different ways, but growing up watching anime, and the episode being the man who gets stronger, it's not about the main character, it's about Zonka. You know what I'm saying? Like the title is about Zonka, even though the whole episode wasn't revolved around. You see, but I feel like he is one of those characters like the underdog. Like, he's gonna do something later on in the series that's gonna like, you know what I'm saying, like be very impactful. Like, he got he got something to prove now more than anybody else. He took the first big loss in the show. Like, at least on the cleaner side, like the Raiders were taking L's all day, but like for Ava's side, like he took the first big L.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. I'm kind of hoping to see more of him getting more involved. But uh, speaking of characters that I need to see more involved when we get more episodes and whatnot, who I think is more of a breakout character, uh, Rio Reaper. Because

Riyo’s Breakout Fights And Style

SPEAKER_00

uh to this out. Now hear me out. We got this carefree, energetic, outgoing member of the cleaners whose vital instrument comes in the form of a pair of scissors called the Ripper. She's also a former hitman. But man, let me tell you, when they were going up against the Raiders and shit, I was like, I knew this bitch was gonna be a cold bitch. Because like, you know, when the cleaners and the raiders was like, oh, you know, like matching up and whatnot, you see the um face off and whatnot. And the only two people smiling was Jabba Walker uh and Rio. So you know, you know she was about the action, like she was ready for the action. Yeah, yeah, I noticed that.

SPEAKER_01

But I see I like her. I like Rio too. She definitely gives the female character vibe that I'd be looking for. You know, like she ain't backing down, you know what I'm saying? She's not super OP, you know what I'm saying? Looking at her, you might think, Oh, this little girl, he ain't got none of that.

SPEAKER_00

Her fight. You wanna know the main thing is the main thing is uh you remember uh when I showed y'all the TikTok about uh these female characters and how like you know uh Sakura, you know, you know the whole um you know the legendary meme with uh yeah, and there was like talking about um bang and all like either soccer or quora and whatnot, and then you had all these legendary players, and then uh they even mentioned uh Rio as a rookie, like she was putting up numbers. That's why I'm saying to her, I'm like, Rio as a rookie is putting up numbers to where I'm like, she's not useless, like she kind of breaks out of the whole uh uh soccer curse, you know, you know, like uh how and it's crazy too because when we talk about Togan Anki, there's a certain character in there where I'm like, she kind of reminds me of Sakura, also kind of reminds me of Kenana, but we'll get there when we get there. But uh Rio, uh-uh, she's putting it in words, so I'm like, you can't say she's like the useless female chick.

SPEAKER_01

Hell no. See, that's what I like about Gajakuda because they didn't waste no time introducing the villains, and they didn't waste no time giving us the action. Like they didn't waste no time giving us the matchup and giving us fair fights with nobody coming in and saving, no, like like the damsel in the stress trope, they didn't do that. They let Rio have her fight. You know what I'm saying? They let her have her moment. Everybody got their chance to shine. Everybody had their moment. Granted, she did pull up at the perfect time because I didn't know what the fuck Jared was finna do with my boy. Like, he dancing around and playing and shit. I'm like, uh they finna fucking like I'm saying like Rio Titan really fucked me up. Like, at this point, I don't trust anything. I don't get too attached, but I'm like, damn, don't do Zonka like this. And then she comes up out of nowhere. I'm like that. I I knew I fucked with you. Yo, listen, Rio's fighting style is OP, man. That's why I say that the anime is unique in itself. Like, the way this bitch swinging scissors around with her legs, like I knew she could fight without the scissors.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, yo, when I saw the uh um character demo for the game, when I saw Bruto and Rio's character demo, I'm like, hey, you know what? Let me go pick up this game when it comes out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, she moving like Sanji with scissors. Like, come on. I I ain't gonna lie, I like that move she threw. Like, she does it all the time. Her fucking, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be in the game like a down smash or something. The fucking when she like have the scissors and she stand on it and she just smashed them bitches into you, like stab them into the monster or the core or something. She done did that shit like four. That's like her that's her favorite move.

SPEAKER_00

I fuck with it. Like a signature move while you can't just have her in the game and not have her do the move.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like that's the move. Like, if anybody in the show have done anything over and over, real have definitely slammed them damn scissors at somebody's shit.

SPEAKER_00

And it's the way in a way you can say that she's gonna be the it girl of the season. I mean, of the of the series.

SPEAKER_01

To be honest, there's nobody competing with her. I mean, the other female, like, you know, um the diamond. I mean, there's more, but they don't have as much quiet law as Rio. We have a lot of females. The Raiders have more females over there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And um I can't remember her last, well not her last name, but her name. She just popped up at the uh end of the last last episode. At the end of the season with the red hair, she came with um what are they called? They're called um I just saw that. They come in red. They was coming to take Ruto. Um I can't remember her name, but her character design is based off of the uh author.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you mean the Hellguard? Yeah, Hellgarch. Yes, the Hellgarch. Okay, no, I'm gonna talk about her in just a moment. But uh let me go ahead and play through some of these characters um while we're talking about

Ammo’s Backstory And Fan Reactions

SPEAKER_00

her. Uh for starters, we got Arca Corvus, the strong, charismatic boss of the Queen, like the big boss. You know, like how like uh the Queeners have their um section, uh Team Akuta, Team Child, um Team Umnal. But uh he's Team Eager, and he's like the boss of all that. Uh we have uh Simeu Greer, she's the receptionist of the Cleaners headquarters. Like she was one of the first characters where I might think, hey, yo, I might need to check this one out because you got this chocolate white foo with white hair and amber yellow eyes and stuff.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, damn, I'm like, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

I see uh the creator. Well, are you trying to fly to the cookout? Because this is how you get invited to the cookout.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh she has her uh instrument, the eyes, which takes the form of a pair of glasses, can examine the overall capacities of a giver, which gives them the efficiency needed to join the organization. This ability can also be used in combat to detect incoming attacks and slow down time. So she's fairly useful, uh and you know, uh limited, but useful. Uh, and then we have Ammo and Pool. Now, okay, this girl, a traumatized, abused young girl and the Lady of Penta, an individual who claimed to have witnessed the people crossed the border. She is later kidnapped and locked in the dungeon after, you know, the whole tussle with uh Ruda and whatnot, you know, you know, to kind of pass things up. But uh what was fucking crazy to me to where uh a lot of fans was like uh cheering for Ruda, beating up uh Ammo, and then episode 13 popped up and you found out that uh she got sold to this um PDF file by her mother, and uh he's been doing all types of things to her, and he's just like, oh damn. I bet the people rooting for Ruto uh beat her up. I bet y'all feel like sitting now, huh?

SPEAKER_01

Y'all feel like nah her backstory was definitely sad, and it was and I and it kind of hit, I guess, because in a sense it was one of the first sad, like, you know, one of those backstories of poor characters that make you very empathize with him. Like Zonka had a like well, his wasn't really sad, but like Almost was definitely like damn, definitely look at it different now. Like, cause she was annoying to me. I ain't gonna lie, I really didn't like her ass. But I didn't, I wasn't rooting for her to get her ass beat by me. Like Rudolph kind of.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was that was crazy how people were like saying that, but I'm like, I didn't like keep in mind, I didn't even watch it up until recent time, you know, trying to get ready for this review. Like, I just want to um be completely immersed when we're actually getting ready for the review. So as far as I'm concerned, I'm like, I don't know what this chick do to deserve it. And I'm like saying I'm not gonna be rooting for it, so I'm just gonna go ahead and see. And then I'm like, by the time you get to watch it, you're just like, okay, well, episode 13 is right there. So it ain't like I spent a whole week thinking, uh, yeah, whoop that trick, whoop that trick, and then uh episode 13 probably, oh well damn, I feel that, you know what I'm saying? I I didn't have that, so I was like, hey, you know, like it was fucked up, like it was kind of fucked up, but uh, you know, at least I mean, okay, okay, to be fair, I'm gonna have to spoil a little bit of the manga uh as far as her character, but essentially uh Rudo and the cleaners eventually do um bust her out. And actually, you know, I think Gacha Kuda, okay, a second season is confirmed, but it's like to be determined. So we don't know when it's coming out. But uh I I want to say hopefully in season two, uh Rudo and the Cleaners bust her bust her out, and she eventually joins the cleaners under uh one of the other teams. Not um not Akuda, not the same team Rudo's on, but one of the different teams. But yeah, that's about it, you know, like um she gets essentially she does get rescued, um, hopefully in season two. But uh yeah, while the cleaners fight the trash beast, they also clash with the Raiders from time to

Raiders Villains And Hellguard Threat

SPEAKER_00

time. The Raiders are a major criminal organization full of givers on the ground with the goal of collecting the Watchmen series and destroying the sphere. They are one of the major antagonist groups of the series overall, led by Zoto or Zoto uh Typhon, who's the boss of the Raiders, uh, cold, cunning, calculating man, rarely expressing any emotion. His vital instrument is Mishra, a cult from the Watchmen series, which shows him, uh which allows him, excuse me, to mutate his body to resemble the shape and trace of anything he eats. And then also we have, as we mentioned before, uh Jabber Wonger. Uh Jabber is a masochistic member of the Raiders who is obsessed with the uh fighting people stronger than him. His vital instrument is uh Mankira, 10 rings uh he wears on his hands that can turn into claws, which can contain various neurotoxins and poisons. And whenever he's exposed to a new poison and whatnot, he can like analyze and like use that. Uh I like how a lot of people, especially um with a certain frame that he did when he was smiling, like people were like saying, Hey, yo, he kind of looked like Wil Wayne in this one shot. It was only in that one shot, though. Other than that, I'm like, okay, it could have been anybody.

SPEAKER_01

Anybody with black with your could have been me. Yeah, could have been you. Could have been me.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, other than that, I'm gonna say, like, uh, he's I'm gonna say he's also a breakout character on the enemy team. Like, I don't know why, but he kinda uh he kind of reminds me of uh breakout characters like uh Bender from Future Rama and whatnot, you know, the kind of guy that you're not supposed to like, but he's ironically likable.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's too fucking cool, man.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. The character design, the way he talks about it. I'm like, you just can't help it. I'm like, hey man, he he kind of cool. What do you want him to say?

SPEAKER_01

I say man's always gonna be like a villain or something. Like, you gotta, they the ones that make you side with them. Like, damn, like you might be might be on to something, man.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Now we are also introduced to the Hellguard, uh, a group of mostly non-gibbers who focus on suppressing humans who commit crimes and are the primary law enforcement on the ground. The cleaners answer to the Hellguard and have to provide reports on their jobs when said job injures civilians. They are capable, all capable fighters without powers who are able to overpower givers and have access to hard-to-get items such as firearms. Despite this, they have continued to fail to stop the raiders, and the Hellguard have a fearsome reputation and will utilize torture for information. They have a prison where prisoners are said to experience agonies, and beyond maintaining order, the Hellguard are also investigating the relationship between the ground and the spear as Kyoka was sent to Res Rudo in order to find out more about the spear, their race, and to fill the gaps in history. Now, speaking of which, uh Kiyoka Nichiku, uh she's the creator, self-insert character, kind of look like Kirana, uh, where she's very fierce, tough, intimidating, commander of the Red Horn Squad, one wielding guns. She's very proficient in battling givers, and she's Zonka's elder sister and eldest daughter of the Niji family. Like, okay, boss bitch. All right, I see. But uh, outside of that,

Themes Ratings And Season Two Hopes

SPEAKER_00

I don't have a whole lot to say. Uh, I like the world building, the action, the dark fantasy elements of the story, the personalities and designs for the characters. Very unique and striking artwork and user selection. Uh, it it was kind of giving graffiti punk rock vibes, like hood vibes. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01

Uh the way the music in the in the show is like very urban.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

There's also oh, go ahead. I was just saying this, it goes with the like setting of the show.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And there's also themes that resonate with me, such as the elitism, the prejudice, valuing people as well as our possessions, because both can be considered treasures to the right people. And on that note, after the airing of the first season finale, the second season was announced. I'm excited for that. Uh gotcha kuda, the video game, can't wait for that. If I were to give it a rating, I ain't gonna hold you. For the time being, I'm gonna give it a 10 out of 10. That might you but you're thinking like, okay, hold on. Like, uh, normally I give like eight, nine, seven, or whatnot, but I'm you know what, man? It it had a lot of going on to where I'm like, okay, I like the plot, I like the characters, I like it visually, I like the music, I like the themes and whatnot, to a point to where like it kind of it's kind of like uh how I feel about Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, to where I'm like, you know what, man? I watched this whole thing, and you know what? I can't think of a damn thing wrong with it. So you know what? It's a 10 out of 10 for me.

SPEAKER_01

You know, that's that's how I feel. Like that's what I was saying. Like for a new generation, like for a new gen anime, it gave a good impression. Like the animation is there. The plot, you know what I'm saying? Like, the plot was there from the first beginning. Like, I love the pilot lip episode, like, you know what I'm saying? Like his the way he was screaming at him, and then the guy who the guy who did it standing in the crowd, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, I fuck with how they how they how they delivered, and then like the power system. Like, every time anime come out, we gotta check the power system, how it compares to the other ones. You know what I'm saying? Like the chakra, cursed energy, nin, you know what I'm saying, all this stuff. So they got their vital instruments that's unique. I like that. Like you say, it's not one of those tropes where the main character comes out OP, he's the chosen one, he's a reincarnation of the god or something like that. Like he really comes, like even when he came from the surface, he was still, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, bro. Then he gets mistreated. So now we're in for the long run to see when he makes it back up there. You know what I'm saying? What happens when he gets back up there? Like, who was this mystery guy? Like, there's so much stuff need to be answered just from the first episode alone. So nah, you're you're 10 out of 10, not out the way, like bro.

SPEAKER_00

I got okay. Um,

Wild Theories And Final Wrap

SPEAKER_00

first of all, like uh I think the mystery dude, he might be the same dude that's able to sprout those angel like wings. I'm not 100% sure of that, either that or uh his uh partner. But I'm like, I got theories about this dude, and I might think, like, can you imagine if that turned out be Rudo's father for some reason? Like he just uh murdered uh Rudo's adoptive father and uh say Rudolph.

SPEAKER_01

You know, it's crazy to say that because the last episode gave me that idea when they went to the mural and they looked up and then they saw the Watchman series logo on the wall, and then um the little spelled artist girl, she explained what they were. She was like, those four logos along with that one. We know who that guy is. The other names are forgotten, but we know for a fact who made the Watchmen series, and he's one of the best friends, the closest friend to the first guy who put the You know what I'm saying? Like this shit goes way back. Like she's like the person who made that Watchman series end up being well, we're not we know what I'm saying, Damner his father, because she she said his name, and then she's like, that's my name. We got the same last name, you know what I'm saying? There's a whole connection. So Ruto does have a connection to the past in some sense. And like the beginning to the Watchman series, his connection to the Watchman series might be way deeper than what's on the surface right now. Like, and his ability to use the gloves, using like because they they were trying to figure out what was his vital instrument or what was his power tool, his connection to it. Like, okay, it's the gloves, but he can like do this with three different things, and some like you know what I'm saying, sometimes they're stronger than the other, like he brought stuff, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Big brain time. I got a big theory. Like, if if this happens, like I'm gonna I'm gonna look pick up that phone because I'm gonna be calling that shit. But uh, if it doesn't happen, oh well, that's fine. But hey, yo, what if that happens where it turns out that is Ruto's father, but essentially he set in a weird, twisted way, kind of like on some Goku and Gohan type shit. He's pretty much just setting up Ruto to be the uh the next guy, you know, uh the next big thing. And essentially he set him up, um, murdered uh his adopted father, uh, had him sent to the pit and whatnot after he received the gloves. Uh almost like okay, not maybe not so much as Goku and Gohan, but kind of closer to uh Gone and Jing, to where it's like for some reason you like you have this boy go on this whole bullshit just to uh figure out what the hell is going on between the spear and the ground and whatnot, trying to uh figure out the mystery, the missing dots between it all. And you know, I gotta get you involved, son. Like, I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I was definitely getting after that last episode. I mean, I'm like, dog, I won't be surprised. Like, cause what are the what are the what are the odds? Like, what what are the motives here? Like, of all people that just ran. You know what I'm saying? His adopted father, you don't kill him, you don't kidnap him, no, like, then you let him get framed for this. You know what's gonna happen. You know what I'm saying? So it's almost like you wanted him to get some down there.

SPEAKER_00

And keep in mind, like, that hooded figure, like, did the murder, watched uh Ruto get dumped down there, and also was uh hanging around with uh Ammo and uh Mr. Guy. Um I'm just like thinking, like, he to be uh have Ruto get involved in all this and also being uh in the background, um being near these people who have the watch mysteries, it just got me thinking, hey yo, hold on. Wait a minute. It's like it's uh like I said before, too many coincidences ain't a coincidence.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So who knows? Like we might get more answers in season two. Maybe we should just go ahead and uh read the manga, but until we talk about it, that's probably uh all we gotta say for now. Uh Playboy, you sure you don't got anything you want to add on to it? No, nothing.

SPEAKER_01

It's been a while since I've watched, like, you know, the middle of it. That's not too much I do remember.

SPEAKER_00

Well, with that being said, I'm standing uh 10 toes on that 10 out of 10, at least for the time being. You know how it is, where it's like some shows, like it makes a good impression, but the execution of the later installments might ruin it for me. But for now, I'm fairly impressed by it. I got high hopes for it. Well that being said, go ahead and have yourself a good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night. But ultimately, remember to stay nerdy and that great things are coming. We're gonna go ahead and zone up out of here. So take it easy.
