The Woman You're Becoming
OteshaHello and welcome to another episode with Faithfully Fulfill . I hope you are doing super , super well , you're feeling well , you're doing well and you are ready for this episode and to be encouraged . So let's just get right into it . And I want to make sure that I express to you about how much I really enjoy just coming on here and just speaking to you , speaking to your mind , speaking to your heart as a woman , and just the sisterhood . Okay , just need to put that tidbit in there , because I get a little mushy inside sometimes . But , however , the message for today is the woman you're becoming is a big deal , and I know that may sound a little cliche , but by the end of this episode , you are going to really understand that the woman that you're becoming is a big deal and what that means for you and what you need to do and what actions you need to take . So let's get started . So the woman you're becoming is a huge deal , a big deal . So there is no more averageness . So we at times , when it comes to like our confidence level as women sometimes , especially women of color , we have this average mindset and what we really need to understand is that you know today , from this point forward really need to understand is that you know today , from this point forward , after you listen to this episode , after you , you know , get these aha moments is that the woman that you're becoming is a big deal and it's major , and you are not going to be able to live a life that's average or mediocre anymore . Okay , okay , sis . So the average things we used to do , the things we used to say , is not going to match who we are becoming . This includes your mind , your body , your spirit . And when it comes to your mind, your body, and your spirit these three areas must be in order , and I'm going to coach you on how to do that . So first we're going to start with your mind . Your mind yes , we know the mind is a battlefield .
OteshaYou've heard it all before , but I'm telling you again today because we all need those gentle , firm reminders . So even just listening to this encouraging message like it is hard sometimes to hear that you know the woman you're becoming , especially if you haven't really forgiven yourself about the past or you're still dealing with . You know the to-dos and the deals of yesterday , so it really doesn't feel like you're going anywhere but in circles . So I get it . So hearing that can sound a little bit cliche and a little bit like this is just another one of those things I'm hearing , but this is not what I feel or see . So that's why it's important that you nurture your mind , and you must do this daily .
OteshaI talk a lot about mindset on this podcast because it is super important , it is super essential to nurture your mind . So , how you can nurture your mind , these are those healthy reminders just in case you forgot , just in case you need that little push , that little empowerment to get you back to the place you need to be , or on the right track where you're trying to go . So nurture your mind . You must nurture your mind by what you listen to . Now , I know that's your jam homeboy , homegirl in them , that's what you like to listen to but is this what I'm listening to ?
OteshaMatching the woman that I'm becoming ? To even understand the woman that you're becoming , you need to take a look inside and then actually recreate a vision of what the best version of yourself actually looks like . Or if you feel like you have experienced that before , like man , when I was doing this , when I was doing that , like I felt like I was really different , doing the things that I was created to do . I was in this shape , I was looking this way , I was feeling this way , I felt more focused , I felt more on point . You may have to write down and write the vision about who is this woman that I'm becoming and make sure what I'm listening to , what I'm reading and what I'm feeding myself is actually matching or at least becoming familiar about who the woman that I am , or who the woman that I'm becoming .
OteshaSo the second thing is to limit what is not good . That means the TV shows is not good . That means the TV shows , the conversations . So when you do this , I know it seems like you know a simple step , but sometimes we heard it all before . Common sense ain't common right , so this displays mental maintenance . So now you're nourishing your mind because , remember , the mind is a battlefield , like we're watching what we're listening to . We're watching the conversations we choose to engage in , and sometimes the conversations that we have are the conversations that we have with ourselves and nobody else can hear or see . So make sure that you're paying attention to those mindset conversations , that internal self-talk , that jabber , that gibberish , and make sure you're speaking to yourself in the way that you want to be .
OteshaSo the second area , that body , now , that body , that body , yadda , yadada , that body from the physical to , and what I mean by your body . I'm talking about taking care of your body , from the physical to the nourishment to the rest , from the top of your head to the soles of your feet . Like what does your body need ? What do you believe your body needs for you to rest ? And make sure that you're thinking about what is the vision for my body for the rest of this year . Like what do I see myself doing ? What supplements do I want to try ? What skincare and hair routine do I want to have ? Skincare and hair routine do I want to have ? Like , how many days of movement needs to take place to support the lifestyle of this big deal woman I'm becoming ? I want to be around for a while when I show up in these places . I want to be confident in how I look , how I smell , how I sound , when I smile in pictures . I want my teeth to be white . So if you need to get some oil pulling from the TikTok shop , I don't know what you need . I have tried it . By the way , oil pulling is kind of great . I feel fresh , right . So think about those things too . Think about what your body needs to show up in the world in this woman , this big deal woman that you're becoming .
OteshaLast but not least , your spirit . How is your spirit today ? My spirit is high , is lifted . As you can hear from the sound of my voice , I usually come on the podcast , where my spirit is lifted . So that's when I'm most creative , that's when my brain has most clarity .
OteshaSo I'm asking you how is your spirit today ? What does your spiritual life look like right now ? Do you feel like you're behind in your spiritual growth ? Do you feel like you don't really have a relationship with God at all ? Do you feel like you've had a close relationship with God in the past , but it's a little different now ? Or you may not even know what I'm talking about . So I want you to ask yourself how is my spirit ? How is my connection with God ? Do I have a connection ? Do I believe that there is a God ? And I really believe that , and not just because I am a woman of faith . I really believe that when you're talking about your mind , body and spirit , these are three areas that you need to be successful and purposeful in life . So you really have to make sure that you're attentive to this area , especially if you're feeling disconnected or discouraged , because it can impact the way that you view and the way that you operate as the woman you're becoming . So ask yourself do you need to reconnect ?
OteshaUm , faith is , you know , the evidence of things hoped for and the things unseen . Right now you are becoming the woman . That's a big deal . So the woman that's a big deal . You can't really see . This is why I'm telling you to write a vision . This is why I'm telling you to to work on these things , these introspective things , these things that are inside of you that you cannot see . So , yes , that is scripture .
Spiritual Growth and Self-Improvement
OteshaHowever , so when we can't see , when we can't feel , when our spirit is not as holy quote unquote as you like it to be , but whatsoever quote unquote as you like it to be , but whatsoever the woman you're becoming is going to need a spirit that is filled to be able to pour into the woman you're becoming and also the people that you're going to be pouring into in this major role of your life and in the world . So this will be your action step when it comes to this area . It's not something huge , it's something simple . All these little coaching tips and things that I share . I want it to be something that you could do right away and you can apply . It is not something you have to go to the extreme to do , because just little minor things that you do when it comes to self-improvement and self-care is just the little things that can really make a big difference . So I'm always wanting to make sure I express that less is more Okay .
OteshaSo what I would like for you to do to you know , work on your spirit as you're working on becoming the woman that's the big deal is write a letter to God about filling your spirit with acceptance , forgiveness and growth , and I chose those three areas mainly because that is the first three things that I feel like are super essential when it comes to , you know , feeding your spirit .
OteshaSometimes we need to accept the things we cannot change . We need to accept people . We need to accept ourselves as who we are in order to even grow from the place that we are currently . And then forgiveness . Forgiveness goes a long way , especially when you need to forgive yourself . You need to forgive others , but you're not quite ready to engage , and neither do you have to engage , but acceptance , forgiveness and growth is super essential when you want your spirit to be filled . So that is the three areas that you know this big deal woman , this major woman that you are becoming , needs to focus on and what needs to be in order for you to really operate as this big deal woman , moving from average to going on to the major things in life , as the woman that you're becoming .
