But then all this stuff that Kendrick kind of called out and exposed about Drizzy was really real , drake kind of do be running to Atlanta when he needs help . The whole situation on Twitter or whatever the past couple days because Thug was tweeting like hey , y'all , we need to all make up and let's start making music together again and future liking it or retweeting it and all this other shit . It's like , yeah , drake , as much as Atlanta benefited from Drake , drake absolutely benefited from Atlanta's co-sign on his come up or whatever , and I still do think that drake is a large proponent of what's wrong with the rap game right now , for various reasons .
Speaker 4I'm not gonna delve too deep into that , um , but I do think that just to of hip hop is actually in a good space . A lot of it is just different . I think that radio rap for the most part , when it comes to being artists , is not really necessarily that good , but it's some fun songs out there . It's a lot of fun music to play in the club . A lot of new up and coming rappers are really good and got those sort of records . I'm just at a point now where I kind of want a little bit something different in the club too , because we've been clubbing for the 20 years and we know each other so like I'm just used to like the trap sound , the 808 , all the turn like the chance , the cadences , all this stuff is the same over and over and over . I want to see some evolution in that . But overall , as far as a genre , the rap game going crazy . R&b is in a really good space too . Honestly , black music is healthy and I think it was good that some of these big arena tours and shit are starting to die down , because I think when we start getting into those large , medium or small large venues that's not necessarily a whole ass arena you can really get that intimacy back in the music again .
