Welcome Back And Roll Call
SPEAKER_01Yo was good. I know, I know, I know, I know.
SPEAKER_00Craig! Where the hell you been?
SPEAKER_01I know, bruh, I know. Where the hell have you been, bruh? It wasn't intentional. I promise you, it wasn't intentional. I swear, but I I missed y'all. I missed y'all. It was time to get back to it. Um, the timing worked out perfectly the way it needed to work out. So as I do this introduction and get back in the flow of things, I just wanted to say, welcome back to another episode of the Hitty Nights podcast. If you don't know me, or if you continue to follow the show and go back to listen to old episodes, or if your friend, your homie sent you this link to tap into the show, my name is Jay White. I am the host of the Henny Knights podcast, representing Big St. Louis. St. Louis through and through. STL through and through. I have been doing the Henny Knights podcast going on nine years. I have been blessed and fortunate enough to have some of the dopest people from St. Louis from the Crib on this very podcast. I had the legendary Tammy Holland on the podcast. I've had Lawrence Morone on the podcast. Some of the dopest creatives from the crib on the podcast. Big Esco. Shout out to my boy Ryan. The Ruboys, as always. Shout out to Mars. Shout out to E. Clay. Shout out to Big Phil. I've had Brad Edwards from Dear Fathers on the podcast. I've had Kyra Patton from the Doula Lab also generate health on the podcast. I've had Jasmine Osby from the Post Dispatch on the podcast. You feel me? I've had who else, bro? John LaJethro Jenkins Nichols from the Jenkins and Jones podcast on this podcast. I've had Chantel from Grief is ghetto on this podcast. I've had some of the dopest creatives, and I'm not, I'm, I know I'm not naming every single body. Y'all can go back through the episodes and listen to Dominique from the Whiskey Sour podcast. Just to name a few.
SPEAKER_00Winnie Caldwell on the podcast.
SPEAKER_01Lenny uh Lindsay Walker on the podcast. Some of your favorite people's favorite people on the podcast. And I've been blessed enough to have friendships and relationships with these people for them to come through and just chop it up with me and let their hair down and chill. And just shoot the shit like you're talking to your cousin, your family member on the couch that you haven't seen in a long time. So yeah, that's a little bit of a track record for the Henny Nights podcast. And
Why The Hiatus Happened
SPEAKER_01if you didn't notice, yeah, I'm riding on this episode solo. There is no guest because after almost a year layoff, it's important that we reconnect. It's important to reestablish the connection and in terms of where the hell I been. And I'm gonna be hella honest with you. I had every intention on keeping up and being consistent with the podcast. Um but life be life in. Life can also be life and in a positive way. Um in such a way that the things that are put on your shoulders and the things that are put on your plate, it just fills up your time. And you pray or whatever you believe in, you focus up, you lock in, whatever you need to do that you are able to have the bandwidth for the things that are being put on your plate, the things that are stretching you past your comfort zone. You pray for all of that, you lock in on all of that, you ask the universe for all of that, give you the capabilities to really lock in, stretch yourself, and to show to everything, and life be life. When you ask life for something, it gives you that energy back. And for me, um, as y'all know, um for me, my personal career, that my my day-to-day nine to five, it's been going great. It's been going really well, and I'm blessed enough to go be going into this space now, year three, and I'm still there. They're still giving me and trusting me with projects and things like that, that you know, aren't often the most glamorous things. We do a lot of the lifting behind the scenes to make sure that the engine that the public sees runs efficiently. We definitely do that. And so I've been getting exposed to more and more of that. Um personally, outside of work, you know, blessed, blessed to have family life that's going extremely well. The lady is doing well. The parents, mama white, y'all favorite mama is doing well. Um my other family is doing well, my friends are doing well, and so life was life in a way that, you know, unfortunately, I hella left. I hella left the podcast. I ain't even gonna lie. Um, and it was also a situation where I also needed to be honest with myself. Um, when I don't have anything to say or feel like I'm not in a space to offer up anything, I go, I go quiet. Um I go quiet. Uh, and I didn't feel like just getting on and ranting about nothing when I don't feel like I had anything to add to the space. Anything um, any nugget or anything that's different, even though I've been doing the show for, like I say, going on nine years now. Um it's always been centered around wanting to talk to somebody, wanting somebody to come on, and we talk back and forth and have dope conversation, or if it's just me providing something, whether it's telling some type of story or just talking about where I'm at, and I uh creatively just wasn't there because life was life and it taking off in other ways. Um and that's just me being brutally honest, and even when like I thought I was ready to come back and record and you know be in this space and do this, um yeah, I just didn't have it. I just didn't have it. And then uh so I stopped. The last episode of the podcast came out in March. And so by the time you're hearing this, this is after my birthday. I've
Career Wins And Family Peace
SPEAKER_01turned 37, by the way. Um so yeah, it was all like I said, it was almost a year. Almost a year. And me dropping this the day after my birthday is super intentional, but it felt like everything aligned and felt like um it was time. Like, yeah, you can go ahead and do it. At least do this. Take the first step, see what happens, and see if you get the ball rolling again. Don't worry about if people are gonna listen. Um, don't worry about which I never I didn't do previously about the numbers and things like that. Um I just wanted to do it. I just wanted to have an outlet and uh just see what happens. Similar to when I started the podcast, just get the first recording out the way, and then the rest will follow. So yeah, I'm being completely honest. I hella left niggas. I hella left niggas, but um part of this is just being completely transparent and extremely honest. Um I don't take for granted any other conversations, the friends, the thinkers, the people that are doing the things that they're doing that have stopped by to talk to me, to chop it up with me for granted. Uh every episode has reflected where I was at in life. And I'm just blessed to know so many dope people. So I don't take that for granted. And so while also acknowledging that I hella left, I also acknowledge that I wouldn't be or even had any type of success that I had without y'all. Shout out to Randy. I've had Randy on super of an extreme amount of times. Van, good brother vandalism, um DJJ, like DJ Drake, Trey, like bro, I can go down the list, bro. Keep going down the list. And um I'm grateful and I thank everybody. Um, because now I'm realizing I didn't do an anniversary episode, so this is the first time I can say thank you. So for first time listeners, thank you for coming in. Thank you for taking a seat on the couch, this Henny in the corner. Pour yourself up a glass to the people that continue to rock out with me even on hiatus and ask me when I was getting back to it. Thank you. I am truly grateful, and I don't take anything for granted. Um, and it's funny, like I said, I'm releasing this the day after my birthday, turning 37. Um and I feel like like the people, like when you in your 20s, people are saying like this is the best time, these are the best years of your life, like live it up and you know, wow out and try things and um this, that, and the third. Um my 30s, um I can honestly say have also been the best times of my life. One, a little bit more change in my pocket, a little bit more change in my pocket, although the economy is all fucked up. Um and like niggas have been waiting to grow up to be able to live their lives, and by the time millennials get to the point of doing that shit, shit is all fucked up. But that's a conversation for another day. But I digress. My 30s have been challenging, but have also been a ball. Um, it has getting older as it should has uh changed the way I move, what I care about, uh the things that register for me on my I give a fuck meter from things to I don't really care about. Um I'm just in a very balanced space. Um where peace matters the most to me. Um intention matters the most to me. Uh that balance matters the most to me. And it's kind of surreal saying that because I was looking back through old text the other day 10 years ago, since it's 2016. So I this was a text that I went back and saw in 2017 for some weird reason. And the question I was asked was, um, what are two things that I've like, like two out the norm things that, well not I should say out the norm thing, but like two things that are on my bucket list that I want to do. One was travel overseas, super like attainable, attainable goal. I have been overseas. I am blessed to be able to travel, have been traveled out the country. Um and so like that was like, okay, that's that's a good one. Like, because I hadn't at that point, I hadn't been, you know, I've been every, you know, all the popping states that you can think of or whatever, but never to a different country. You know, I've been fortunate to do that a few times now. The second one was jump out of a plane, so skydive. And like I read that and I fucking burst out laughing because you couldn't probably get
Honesty About Creative Burnout
SPEAKER_01me to fucking skydive now. It's just not even it's not even in the cars with a nigga. Like, get the fuck out of here about thinking about doing something that wow. But it put into perspective the kind of mind state that I'm in, that I'm you know, that I was in 10 years ago that I'm not now.
SPEAKER_00And people often like fear getting older.
SPEAKER_01I don't, bro. I've embraced the fact that I'm full of salt and pepper. Like I told myself or tell other people that yo, I'm probably gonna be full of salt and pepper hairwise by the time I'm 37. And sure enough, I'm about there. I'm not dying my shit. I don't have a receding hairline, I'm not balding. So that's a fucking win to me. But just embrace getting older. First of all, I'm just happy to still be here. I'm still happy to be here still. Um, and that my loved ones are still here. Um but like I say, they put into perspective just how much you can grow. Um, that's also one of the reasons why I don't delete like text threads. I got pictures from years ago, bro. Pictures and text threads. And it's just put into perspective how life can change you. Because 27-year-old me would have jumped out that fucking plane looking like uh looking like Tommy from the Power Rangers movie when they were skydiving and shit. Now, nigga, you crazy as hell. I'm not doing it. But it doesn't make me sad though, it makes me happy to to to see that, to be able to recognize that and look back at that and laugh like wow, you've come a long way. You put in the work to to get to where you are. And so balance is like all I can think about for 37. And I ain't gonna be on my aid this aid shit too long. Um, and this is not gonna be a crazy long episode anyway. Um but I I just value peace a lot. I value balance a lot. Uh also um I don't really I don't care about a lot of shit that people it may register on people's meter. And you shouldn't necessarily what you eat don't make them shit, and vice versa. Um but just like Twitter, I don't tweet like I used to. I still do pop in every once in a while, shoot off a couple, I guess it is still called tweets, but shoot off a couple tweets and get off. Whereas 10 years ago, I was you could say I was chronically on Twitter. I mean, I'm navigating more towards like Instagram and Tiki Tok. But um Twitter, like, yeah, I don't want to constantly just see a cesspool of bullshit all day. TikTok, like, I can watch whatever I'm watching and and I'm able to get off. Um Twitter didn't used to be like that. You actually commute. I met so many dope people off Twitter. A lot of people that I just named earlier shouting them out for coming on the podcast I've met on Twitter from Twitter. But now it's just if it ain't incels or misogyny and Lassandry, or uh Trump uh pres the president's little minions running around, or if it ain't just some bullshit. It's just, I'm just, I just don't care. And I just kind of remove myself from that. Um, and try to shit the same with Facebook, try to duck and dodge the brain, the brain ride. Um, even on TikTok. If you don't do your algorithm right, right, and one slip of the finger, you like some bullshit, your algorithm all thrown off. So even with those things, just unplugging intentionally when something doesn't serve you, or like you want to let something go, not being afraid to do that. Just do it. Just just unplug,
Turning 37 And Choosing Balance
SPEAKER_01just get off of that. Um, and so yeah, that it does lead to um a lack of uh patience for bullshit. Um but I also feel like that's how it should be. And so I'm taking this new year in in stride. Uh like I said, I'm I'm honestly just happy to be here. I'm happy to be in the space that I'm in. Um, and I don't take it for granted. And so uh even the podcast is growing. Um actually being able to have intelligent um great conversations with people to hear different perspectives and learn different things. Um this podcast has been a tool for my growth as well. Um balance of the series and of funny things. As all things should be. That sounded like fucking Thanos right there. As all things should be perfectly balanced. But um, yeah, that's my thoughts about this new trip, this new chapter, chapter 37. Um, it's just balance for me. So yeah. But as always, when I do a solo dolo episode, I ask for uh people that are on insta, they follow me on Instagram um or wherever you follow me to like send in questions and I'll answer them on the podcast. And so I have accumulated those questions, which I will answer here on the show. So, question number one did you take a much-needed rest? Um in terms of creatively, um, it was unintentional rest. I didn't intentionally try to do it, but also I am intentional about not just doing something, doing recording something just to record it either. Um and I'm glad that I've always been able to kind of stay true to that when it comes to the podcast. When I ain't when I don't have nothing, I just ain't got it. Um, and I'm gonna be 100 with y'all now. I don't know the cadence of am I gonna get back to the every two weeks of the podcast right now, or am I gonna do every month? I don't know. I'm gonna keep it a bug with you. I don't know that. Um I can confidently say that this won't be a one and done episode, though. Uh I do have some shows and some people that I want to get on that I'm gonna get lined up. So there's gonna be a consistent, somewhat consistent flow of episodes to start. Um I'm just not gonna overly promise that, like, yeah, nigga, two 24 uh episodes are gonna come out this year. I ain't gonna promise that. But um, yeah, I did take a in terms of creativity, yeah. Um I mean, with my gig, there's still some level of that, that having to think about things outside the box possibly and a bit of creativity. Uh, but in terms of like the podcast, yeah, I did. Um, it was it aligned to be the right time to come back and just do it. Just do it, just get it out the way. So, when you gonna have me back and when we running it back. So, shout out to my boy Chuck. Shout out to Nell two times, both former guests on the podcast. Um, I I'm gonna have y'all back on. So that that's that. Um, yeah, like I said, there is gonna be a consistent to to start consistent flow of episode. So um you'll be y'all be hearing from me soon. Um what are you most proud of right now? Um the peace. Peace. The balance, bro. The balance that I got right now. Um I have my days where like my brain is fried, my brain is cooked, and I have days where I'm like, yeah, yeah, you you you beast to that, bro. You kill that. Um so yeah, the balance that I have right now is what I'm most proud of. Um of putting the work into obtain and maintain for myself. What scares you the most? Um I'm still a bit of a perfectionist, so um letting um setting a particular standard, whether it be um it could be personally in terms of relationships and dynamics and friendships that I have, uh, my own relationship, um, my people that I work with, um like letting the standard that I've set kind of slip a little bit. I don't like I don't like to let anybody down.
Social Media, Boundaries, And Unplugging
SPEAKER_01I mean, who does? But um and that's something I'm always probably gonna continue to bounce back and forth with. But that for sure pops to mind. Um do people in the loo really buy two pairs of Air Force Ones? Shout out. Do the people in the loo really buy two pairs of Air Force Ones? Shout out my nigga Priest, bro. Um shit, I'm at Priest hooping on 2K. Oh shit, niggas been hooping on 2K for hella years at this point now. But um, yes, nigga, do buy two pairs of Air Force Ones. If you buying two, if you buy an all-white pair, it's best you you get two pairs of Air Force Ones for sure. Um shit. I just went on a little run where they were dropping uh ones in different colors, and I was going crazy. I ain't gonna lie. I ain't gonna lie. I ain't had a pair of all-white ones in Hellas, though. Um, cuz you you don't uh you only got a couple words of them before they all fucked up. So um, but yeah, motherfuckers gonna have to come down to the loop, bro. Mother's gonna have to come down to Big St. Louis, bro, and see what's going on. Um, how did you and your significant other meet? So, me and E, funny enough, uh we went to college together. Um we knew we had the same group of friends, but funny enough, me and her didn't really like interact like that. Um I was a freshman, okay. I was a freshman in college in 2007 to give you like timeline perspective. So after that, um, you know, obviously I dated, you know, Chantelle, and you know, I had my various relationships and things like that. Um, and then it would have to be, yeah, 2020, end of 2022, like Dayton, like Dayton was just like it was just not going nowhere. Um like being single was cool, but like the the const like trying to get on the same page with somebody and one encore with somebody, and um you y'all you and a chick got different communication styles and um mentally one person is here and another person is at a different level, and it just like bruh, like I ain't gonna say the whole shit that people be saying, like there's piss in the dating pool. Um but it was some like it was some dead, some dead rabbits in the Dayton pool. I'll I'll say that. If you can't swim, you bound to drizzle. So I was with uh Randa, Randa's been on the podcast too, and Brittany. Shout out to Brittany. Um we went to Trap Karaoke, Trap Karaoke came to the crib, and uh it was a vibe, it was it was dope, it was dope. It was at a newer venue that's here in St. Louis that had just opened up, and so it was something different. Trap karaoke is basically uh a big party that has guest DJs and people uh get on stage and perform. It could be an RB song, it'd be a rap song, whatever. There's like contestants and the crowd votes, and it's just a it's a good ass time. It's a good ass time. If you've never been to that or like RB only, those style of events, I would say try and do that when it comes through wherever you live. So um trap karaoke comes and passes. Um it's about 11:30 to midnight, and you know the event is over, and they're letting people out. And as I'm walking out, I look up and I see this girl with this long ass ponytail going down going down in them cheeks. I'm like, damn. Um, and so we locked eyes and uh, you know, kind of did like the staring back and forth, like, what's up, what you trying to get into, type of thing. But um, I I was trying to change my ways. I was trying to change my ways and not take like take some home and to just like uh put through the mattress, okay? But um I didn't make a move. Like, I don't want to be um that that person in the club that like when it lets out you trying to lock eyes with everything, every chick leaving the crib to I mean leaving the club to um take something home or hop down or something. Like I didn't want I didn't want to do that, bro. I didn't want to do that at all. And so uh I didn't say anything. You know, it is what it is, bro. There, you don't always go out and go home. We like this ain't we ain't 18 no more. You're trying to not trying to see how many numbers you can get and shit like that. So next day was a Saturday, Track Karaoke was on a Friday. Um so Saturday uh I'm on Instagram and uh I see this story pop up, and I look at the pro like the profile picture, and I'm like, damn, that look like old girl from last night. And so
Listener Q&A: Rest And Cadence
SPEAKER_01I hit the story, and it's her, and I'm like, oh, this is what we doing, universe? You giving me an extra life to spend this motherfucker? Bet. So I hit the fire emoji.
unknownFah, fah, fi, fi.
SPEAKER_01Hit the fire emoji. And I'm like, hey, we'll see. We'll see if it connect. About a couple minutes later, she responded, was like, thank you. And so that's how the initial conversation started. So I told her, like, hey, like, imagine my surprise that you know you pop up on my story. I didn't remember we even followed each other on Instagram. Um, but I'm like, imagine my surprise to see like I follow you on Instagram. Well out the bed. Um, and I'm like, you look, you looked good. You looked really good last night, and you know, exchanging pleasantries, um, keeping it bachelor, you know, shout out to the day ones. And um we just had a conversation, we were just having a conversation, and so finally, um I said, look, like, you know, I don't want to, you know, take up, you know, your time of just going back and forth, you know, in your Instagram inbox, like, um, because you know response times can be stagnant or whatever. So I'm just like, you know, if you're interested and you know, want to get to know each other more, you know, here's my number. And uh, yeah, you know, feel free to, you know, hit me up if you're interested. So I'm like, nigga, that is the hip most Hail Marys of Hail Marys. Uh, because you could go either way, you know, she could not be interested, because she could be like, nigga, why you ain't do this last night? Or, you know, you might you might hit all net, bro. You might hit the bottom of that thing. And sure enough, about 15 minutes later, I get a notification, and it's her. And uh, you know, we we we text the whole day, basically. Um, and I asked her out. I asked her out um the following the following week. The following week, um yeah, the following Friday. We went out on our first date. We went to uh Broadway Oyster Bar, and then we went to Rooftop 360. Uh Broadway Oyster Bar was for food and drinks, and then 360 is for, you know, as they call nightcap or whatever. And before I knew it, it was 2:30 in the morning. And uh I had picked her up and I dropped her back off, and it's like I really enjoyed, you know, really enjoy spending time with you. She said the same. Um we continue to text. The following week was Thanksgiving. I'll never, I'll never forget that. She went out of town uh for the holiday and she came back and we got together the following week. And it's uh it's a TikTok going around right now, like, you know, when you wish uh when you and your significant other linked up for the first time and never and never basically weren't never apart after that. It's been that it's been that. Uh she been there in my roadie, man. So uh that's how that's that's how I met your mother. It's how I met your mom. But uh, yeah, we've been locked in ever since. Ever since. Um it's been a real easy natural progression. And so, I mean, she's a dope, a dope woman for sure. So yeah, we've been locked in since then. Um what a belief about yourself has uh what belief about yourself has recently changed? Um just things that don't like if it don't like I said register to me like people like hot topics, dating topics, uh celebrity bullshit, um even with politics to a certain extent, um the misinformation of everything. The now you gotta worry about AI and all this other stuff, like part a parts uh parts through the bullshit. Is this something I need to worry about? If not, bye. It's um that can be very black black and white to me. It is hard. You're gonna drive yourself crazy caring or trying to care about every single
Pride, Fears, And Standards
SPEAKER_01thing that happens. Um and I used to be like that. I used to care about everything everything. Man, man to try to be a man of many, you know, being well versed in a billion different things. Now, there is a benefit to kind of being to being knowledgeable to some extent about a variety of different things, but caring passionately about so many things will drain you. And so like the last, I want to say like the last year and a half or so, I'm just like I have my fucking levels or top tier fucking levels, replenished, refreshed, revigorated levels of I don't give a fuck. But um I've noticed that about myself. Um and so again it goes back to balance of knowing what to give energy to and what not to. And so that. Peace, that balance, man. It's that has changed a lot in me recently. Um, so yeah. Does podcasting feel different now than it did before? Um like I was never like like I of course I've had thoughts about monetizing the podcast and little things like that, but that was never my sole intent of starting Hitting Nights. Like you all, if you if you're new here, my whole intention of Hitting Nights initially was just to tell just to tell funny stories about my life. Like the concept kind of more from like when you with your boys and y'all sit around and having funny conversations. Um kind of like the behind closed door, not even barbershop talk, but like the behind closed doors in in community with your homies and shit like that. Or if it's you know, I have a mixed friend group, so it's men and women just talking and shooting the shit, it kind of stemmed from that. And then um then it became okay, I can tell my stories about me that nobody else can tell. I can make fun of myself and laugh at myself, so I'll just tell those. And then knowing, like I said, being so um passionate about a variety of different things and inquisitive about a bunch of different things, I was like, oh, okay, I can have people on, we can kind of shoot the shit, and I can ask them about their life and their story, and you know, somebody they can tell theirs before somebody can try to tell them and dictate to them what they have and haven't been through. So that's a platform from them, and then it just kind of evolved from that. Um so in that sense, that hasn't changed for me. I still want to do that, but I never cared about like the analytic aspect. Um, there are a bunch of different podcasts, and people have their different tastes and niche niche podcasts and niche categories and all of that, but um my this platform is the platform, it's my platform. I curated it. And so I didn't, I never wanted to try and be like anybody else or anything. That's not saying I was like, oh, I saw something on another podcast. I was like, that's interesting. How could I spin that? Not saying I never did that, but um it doesn't podcast, it doesn't feel different to me because I didn't come in come into it with the intentions of like, I'm gonna blow up off of this. Like, I didn't. It was just something that I wanted to do, to test myself, to stretch myself and do. Um how do you decide when to share and when to keep things private? Uh it's simple. I just like this ain't something that everybody needs to see. Um when it comes to me, there's not a lot that like I'm don't want to share. Um that I'm not there's not a lot that I'm not not comfortable sharing, if that makes sense. Like I'm an open book for the most part. Um like really truly intimate moments. Um, nah. Like, do people I guess like
The St. Louis Air Force Ones Question
SPEAKER_01people do like like post at like funerals, I guess. Like that kind of feels like super private to me. Um like when I have kids, I'm not gonna be like flicking it up in the fucking wait uh in the fucking uh delivery room. Like that's probably a situation that I'm gonna keep private. Um but yeah, there are things that people just don't need to see in on or know. Like, who who doesn't have that? Um so yeah, I don't necessarily have a real like compass that guides me. I'll just be like, yeah, that's I don't need to share that. It's not really that complicated to me. Are you more of a stay in or go out person now? I'll be chilling, bro. I I be chillin'. I'll be chilling, dog. Um if it's something like that of course that interests me, like, yeah, let's like three one, like 314 day. Like, of course, I'm gonna be outside for 314 day. Um but like New Year's Eve. Like I used to want to get out for New Year's Eve, New Year's. Like, let's go, let's go, bro. Let's let's go to the the club wherever we need to be. Um, and that's not to say I get those urges, not necessarily for New Year's. The last few I've been at the crib, and I think that's that's probably here to stay. Um, but it depends. It really depends. Like I get in my modes where I'm like, yeah, I want to get out with the squad. Let's go. And we'll set something up. But um, I be chilling. I like the space, I like my space. I got everything I need. I got snacks, I got henny. I got food, I can cook, I can order takeout. Like, I be chilling. I I can't really say that I'm a stay in or go out person. I I'm just chilling. Whatever that vibe is that I'm in, let's let's do it. I'll I'll host stuff in my crib. Like, even that. But on select things, it's like, yeah, you gotta get out. Like, experiences. I'm still very big on experiences, concerts, sporting events. Like I said, trap karaoke, uh parties from promoters here. Like, it just depends. Day parties. Like, I still like to do those things. Um, but for the most part, I be chilling. I be chilling. So my last question is what's one thing you always stand ten

SPEAKER_01toes down on? Um always stand ten toes down on intention. Um setting the boundaries of whether it's family, friendships, or my relationship of hey, here is how I like to be treated because this is how I'm gonna treat you. I'm gonna try I'm gonna try to be thoughtful, I'm gonna try to be considerate and compassionate and show empathy. Um and it's okay to expect that in return. There's nothing wrong with that. That is a healthy, healthy, healthy, healthy boundary. Um just like bruh keeping keeping keeping balance. Everything comes back to balance, keeping balance in my life, uh, but also not being scared of having difficult conversations. Now the f to the two having difficult conversations and um in in intention being intentional, those are relatively um newer things that I've had to work on on the past over the past few years. But the balance part I of I guess has always kind of just naturally progressed for as long as I can remember. That's all I've ever wanted was balance. So that's not you know something that's fairly new, but those three are all kind of entangled within each other. So um I'll always stand ten toes down behind that and behind the people I give a fuck about and love, man. So but yeah, that's not bad for the first episode coming back. I I think I think it went well. Uh as always, I appreciate everybody who stuck around, checked in, and didn't rush me, um, who wanted to hear from me, um, and who um often asked me when the next episode is coming out, um, and continue to support me and bought merch and everything. Um, I am super appreciative of that. Um this has been the Henny Nights Podcast. As always, I'm your host, your brother Jay White. And until next time, I'll holler at y'all later. Peace.
