Cst. Bryan Maurer
Before an injury forced his retirement, Constable Bryan Maurer served 14 years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
After joining the RCMP and completing his training, Bryan was assigned to policing duties in Surrey, British Columbia, one of Canada’s fastest growing cities, and worked as a general duty patrol officer in one of that city’s toughest neighborhoods before going on to qualify for the Emergency Response Team where he was trained as an assaulter, sniper, confined space rescuer and more.
Bryan Maurer shares some of his experiences including an officer involved shooting, the investigation that follows and the toll policing can take on some officers.
