On episode twenty of the Urban to Country Podcast, I sit down with conservationist extraordinaire, Jared Frasier (Executive Director of 2% for Conservation) at the beginning of the first Bozeman Conservation Convention, hosted by 2% for Conservation, Fermentana, Sitka Gear, and Stone Glacier.
The Bozeman Conservation Convention was a first-of-its-kind event that brought together thought leaders from the hunting, fishing and ‘non-consumptive’ outdoor industries to tackle and collaborate on conservation issues facing fish and wildlife today. The goal of this event was to bring groups and businesses together that typically do not share the same air (much less the same panel or stage) to tackle present challenges facing fish and wildlife conservation. The theme of “Conservation is not a Competition” goes beyond a ‘bumpersticker slogan’ to inform our expert panels, films and storytellers for each day. Sessions ranged from topics such as ‘Deer vs Development’, ‘Rivers vs Recreation’ and ‘Private vs Public Land Conservation’ (taken from https://www.bznconcon.com/).
This episode is a laid-back conversation between good friends and I hope you enjoy our banter as we talk about some serious and some silly topics and laugh at ourselves a little bit. I'm so excited to continue to share the amazing people and adventures that are shaping my life and I hope this podcast has a positive impact on yours. If you enjoyed this episode please leave me a review on your favorite platform.
