On episode fourteen of The Urban to Country Podcast, I sit down with my good friend Mike Mueller of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF). Mike is the Lands Program Manager for RMEF and is behind many of the amazing public access projects that RMEF accomplishes. We talk about one of their most exciting projects in recent memory, The Falls Creek Project.
Located in Lewis and Clark County in Southwest Montana, this purchase of 422 acres will improve access to 26,000 acres of public land. The property boasts a gorgeous waterfall, incredible view sheds, abundant wildlife, and a variety of recreation opportunities. Because RMEF still needs to raise funds for the purchase, the land isn't open to the public quiet yet. The project is projected to be completed in 2020 at which time it will be convened into the public domain.
If you want more information or to get involved and help RMEF complete the Falls Creek acquisition contact Mike Mueller, RMEF Lands Program Manager at 406-493-6650 /// email@example.com or Brian Anderson, RMEF MT Development Officer, 406-
