Kingdom Culture Conversations
You were created on purpose. You have a purpose. You are not biochemical happenstance. Rather, you are Imago Dei, created in God's image and likeness to be Kingdom Come in a world that is in desperate need of His Son!
For the Summer of 2026, as part of our annual Crusaders Charge into Summer Reading campaign, we are exploring this theme, using the book "Consider the Cost" by creationist Russ Miller, to spur these conversations. It's going to be a fun summer as we converse with recognized though leaders in young Earth creationism, theistic evolution, geocentricity, flat Earth, and many other perspectives! Where does Northwest Christian land on this? Where will you land?
Northwest Christian School in Phoenix, Arizona is pleased to present "Kingdom Culture Conversations", a podcast committed to exploring the issues that shape culture from the perspective of a Biblical worldview. Through enlightening and interesting topical conversations, you will hear diverse perspectives that inform our prayers as we pray "Thy Kingdom Come"...

Dr. Amy Yoder of Northwest Christian: Should We Completely Avoid Literature, Movies, and Music that Do Not Agree with Biblical Worldview?
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Dr. Amy Yoder is a cornerstone in the Northwest Christian English department. Beloved by students although she pushes them hard, engaging in the classroom, and creative within her lessons, her courses (Honors Junior English and Honors Senior English) earn her Northwest Christian students college credit at both Grand Canyon University and Colorado Christian University. Her research into effective spiritual formation strategies within high school students has been professionally published and she has been invited to speak on the subject at different conferences.
In short, she is the perfect person to ask the question, "Should we completely avoid literature, art, and music if it conflicts with a Biblical worldview?" As an extension of the question, should be only engage artistic expression if it is created by those in a right-standing relationship with their Creator?
Will you agree with her answer?
