Okay, okay, enough about enough about that. That's old. If you don't know about that song, then shame on you. I'm just kidding. If you don't know about that song, that's totally fine. Because why would you know about that song? I mean, it's an all-fight you song. Actually, it's not, it's an it that it's uh it's an ugly Frank song from 2013. Um, off the um Frank um what fucking album was that again? Bobby Hill. That that was Basa right there. Go watch that video, guys. That video Basa is fucking insane right there. That's a crisp beat right there. That's back when things were all good. But that's not what we're here to talk about today, folks. We're here just to say welcome back to fucking like it or not.

SPEAKER_02

Let's play this jam. Let's hear that. Yeah, I want to hear this. This is your stuff. Yeah, dude. I love it. Hey man, I love it. Uh yeah. It's like a mid-game thing. Let's lessen up.

SPEAKER_00

Like it or not.

SPEAKER_01

Like it or not.

SPEAKER_00

You know, guys, when Belugs made that intro for me a couple years back, he snuck that shit in, and I let him snick it in, guys, but welcome back. Today is March the 12th. And it is 1 to the 27 p.m. Just turned. And this is your host, A Hip with my core dragon on my countertop, because I'm at home watching March Mad is drinking tower, vodka. I'm just kidding. I mean, I just mixed a drink because I said, fuck, I made a hot coffee. And then I said, dude, why don't you it's your day off again? You know, again. Because you know, but some people have multiple days off during the seven-day week. Not all of us work fucking six days a week, but shout out to you for grinding, though. Hold on. Hold on. Oh, wrong fucking one. You know what? My top five of what? What a fucking sound bank here. Hold on real quick, though. Shout out to yourself for grinding. You know what I'm saying? Like, definitely though. Like, you know, if it wasn't for you, you wouldn't have that fucking house you got. If it wasn't for you, you know, like, so fuck yeah. I'm also gonna play Lonely Views from Chris Pete from back in July. Um I'm gonna send a play it in the background. I'm gonna send a play some cuts in the background, talk to you guys. It has been it's been a you know, I haven't talked to you guys all year as far as podcast goes. I've talked to you guys on my story on Instagram. Shout out to all my Instagram followers one time. Then the crowd goes. Well, I'm just kidding, the crowd's not going wild. And guys, I'm off a half of fucking, I'm just drinking some tower vodka. It's the chick that used to date the dude that fucking was or was husband and was husband there, there it was a husband and wife couple that were the um she was the wife, excuse me, to the dude who created Tito's, right? And then that shit like didn't work out too well for him, and so she created fucking tower vodka. I don't fucking know I wasn't there, but I got a bottle of it because the dude at fucking um God, what's that place by by the mall now by Dave's hot check in? Was it not beverage fucking bevmo? Oh my god. I don't I've only been there once, but it's an amazing fucking place. The dude gave me a fucking half a shot of the vodka before I bought it. I said, Oh fuck, man, 14 bucks, dude. Can't beat that. It's not like the fucking the fake Belvidere. Where's Belvedere at? Whatever happened to Belvidere vodka, great goose is still hanging around. Okay, guys, I just got a few things to talk about today. Again, I haven't talked to you guys all the since 2026 when my last podcast drop was near the end of December, but those episodes were actually recorded like before that. Um so again, I want to thank all my all my listeners all together, but thank my Instagram followers that that know that I'm still active on a daily basis, whether I drop a podcast or not. I'm still roaming around the city and doing my thing, going to restaurants, supporting local businesses, all that shit. You know what I mean? Free of charge because I just do it out of love. You know what I'm saying? So uh, anyways, guys, I'm gonna get back off. We can't play boss at twice, man. I love Frank, though. You know what I'm saying? He's one of my favorite rappers, and like that's like on some real shit. And Chris P, which who is a producer, beat maker, and you know, I mean, he's also Carpet Crumbs, KPFM Global, man. Come on, guys, tap the fuck in. Follow Chris P on all of his socials. That's K-H-R-I-S. And also follow Carpet Crumbs. Um, he's I mean, like, I didn't know this till you know a little bit ago. I mean, maybe a couple years back or something like that, but Chris is also an illustrator and he's like turning it up a notch with carpet crumbs. So tune into uh his work and see what he's doing there. And also he's always in the studio, he's always making beats, he's always cooking, he's always creating. So if you're a fan of Chris P and his music, stay tuned. You know what I mean? Never stop following me because you might fucking miss something. Alright, Tacoma, it's your host, A Hip. How y'all doing? What's going on? Because you know what? I am fucking out here. Do I stay on the uh on the fucking do I stay on it, guys? Do I stay on it? Trying to make the S me comfortable. Yeah, I stay on it. I'm gonna stay on the on the crisp tip, on the all-fight you tip. You're rest in peace to one of the greatest fucking groups ever. No fucking doubt. Here's Travis Thompson first, though. Like, we're not here to DJ. I'm not like trying to DJ right now. I just love this fucking song and I saw it in the queue and I said, I gotta press play. Got Glenn talking about wanting to have sex on his BMX. Speaking of that, dude, I think March 22nd and 23rd, if you are in the know or if you've heard about the movie Rad. The 40th anniversary is this fucking March. It's like in a few weeks. And there is local theaters participating, not in Tacoma, not anywhere in Pierce fucking county. So fuck Pierce County. We got some real ass BMX riders in this fucking uh in this Pierce County area. Motherfucking shadow Darren Reed, he's one of them. Hold on.

SPEAKER_01

This time mainline, that chaos to my blood stuff.

SPEAKER_00

And you know, I saw I I mean then there's Mike Hoder in Seattle, but he's King County. I'm just saying, it's it's all affiliated, but what I'm trying, Glenn is a BMXer, you know what I'm saying? So I mean it just sucks that if you do want to see the 40th anniversary remastered in theaters, which is a whole different fucking experience, then you've got to go to the comments in Federal Way. Well, while you're there, you might as well check out some of the eateries up in Federal Way that we're not gonna get into right now. Excuse me. But you might want to check out some things and make it of, you know, he killed two birds with one stone. You know what I'm saying? Alright, guys, cool. Um, what the hell has been going on? I hope you guys have been doing well. Um if you do follow me on Instagram, it is I am the Like It Or Not podcast. It's the Orange Basketball that is Coach Pepperoni. Alright, and he's he's running shit, dude. You know what I'm saying? He's um that's the part that that's where I stay the most active, and that's where I'm at all the time. So if you guys are missing me, if you if there's really some people out there that are like, damn, you know, I'm I really miss like it or not, you know, like what the fuck's this dude doing? He's not podcasting, um, then I hear that, you know what I'm saying? But let's just keep it positive, okay? Just keep it positive, just keep it positive. Don't take my head off it. I mean, I I don't get paid for the shit, so you know what? I don't really have time, and I don't get I don't get the inspiration. So I recently was inspired, and I'm not gonna share why because I fucking forgot. So I'm so I but I was recently inspired to go, dude, you gotta hop back in the booth, man. You got your fucking shit at home. Why don't you just set it up, bro? Um, I am hoping to bring you guys video and all that, just some you know, more updates on me, like as far as doing my podcast and stuff like that. Like I'm working on just like even videotape and stuff like this where I'm just by myself doing it. Um, but either way, some people can't watch videos, but I mean everyone can listen. So um I'm gonna get off my phone here and I'm gonna look at my notes here. I did fucking create a few notes, man. Um yeah, trash talk. It's already March 12th, guys, so that means that March 18th, Coco is in the house. Uh Trash Talk. It's uh an amazing comedy show. It's like an experience like no other. It's like you can't really explain it too much. You just have to kind of go to it. I've been to a few now and like they're just unlike any kind of show I've ever been to. And it's like a crowd participation event. Don't get thrown off by that, meaning you can participate or not. They offer you the ability to like have a few drinks or eat some food before and like write down some questions or some thoughts on a paper that the comedians that will be that you'll be seeing on stage will then draw randomly out of a bucket, and they might get your question. You know what I mean? So that's all I'm saying. So don't be afraid to participate. And also inside um Nate Jackson's a super funny comedy club, which is right there off of 15th and Pac-Av, um, is Thelma's Lounge. And that is Nate's restaurant inside. That's the comedy lounges restaurant. There's like a, you know, you walk in, and to the left is this beautiful fucking comedy lounge where you fucking roll on your ass laughing. Uh, or to rolling on the floor laughing. And then uh if you walk in and you go to the right, you'll see Thelma's Lounge, and that's where you can get the chicken wings, that's where you can get the you know, the fucking burger, that's where you can just eat and chill and just do your thing and pre-funk before the show. Um also check their brunch times and stuff like that on their Instagram or on Nate's Instagram uh the or the super funny comedy club's Instagram and shout out to them. Coco, shout out to them. Um also, you know what I mean, guys? Uh, we're gonna keep on rocking here real quick. Um Damn, where do I go? I got a page full of notes, and I'm just not sure who deserves what fucking type of order because there is no fucking order. They're just all notes. The Cal and Randy Rosarina interaction. Get over it, Mariners fans. If you guys are on the internet that much, then you would have also seen Cal give his kind of response, whether you know he didn't have to, but he fucking did. Um and I'm gonna put on some Elliott Lip instrumentals right now while I while I talk about this. But yeah, as you guys know, they are teammates, and as you guys know, if you're in the sports world, if you are kind of like a Mariners fan, even a little bit, then you would have recently heard that uh you would have that's lemonade in vodka. It would have just a simple fucking daily, just a simple, not daily, it is uh not daily, a simple podcast uh drink though. Coco, if you start stepping on my board, I'm gonna be sad and mad and angry. Um so but while I look really lit. So Callan, Randy, and Rosarina, guys, alright? So you know, my theory initially was the the pine tar thing, you know what I mean? It's like it's a true thing. Plus, you're on the other team, and at what point at all do people go in and fucking and shake the catcher's hand, or even try to. So Randy's a little bit of a jokester. That's kind of like how they roll out there in the DR. They're just like that they kind of joke differently and they kind of they're just different people. He's maybe he plays for Team Mexico, but I think he's a couple of different nationalities like mixed in, you know what I mean? Like he could have played for a bunch of different countries. Um, and that's no shots at nothing. I'm just saying so to fucking fuck your sensitive feelings if you have any, like if you're getting mad about that. Uh so, anyways, I think they're gonna get over it. And Cal didn't mean nothing by besides he has an obligation to have his brothers' backs during the world baseball classic, not Mexico's back, or not, you know. It's okay to be cool and have good sportsmanship, but that doesn't include shaking that motherfucker's hand. So, not that motherfucker, but shaking Randy's hand. So that's one's put to sleep. Also, the world baseball fucking is it's continuing on here soon. Uh the U.S. is in the quarterfinals now because Mexico was eliminated by Italy. Who got luckiest fucking had their biggest win in country history? And shout out to them for that. Uh, but the you guys aren't gonna make it past, or you you you might win against who are you? I guess playing Cuba or something like that. But you're not gonna beat us again if you guys face us and you're not gonna make it to the championship. So we will take the world baseball classic, mark my words. Um, and it is March 12th right now. So other than that, let me keep on rocking here, man. If you guys if you guys want to participate in some fucking local drunkard, not drunkard, I don't know why I said that, beer drinking March Madness fun, then head to Peaks and Pints, guys, because every year, right around now, uh a bunch of breweries and different beers and stuff like that, they all compete and they and they and they and they um you know survive in advance off of votes from the public. So follow Peaks and Pints and stay tuned on that because I'm pretty sure they're about to do it. I haven't even seen nothing on it, but I'm just sure they're gonna do it because they've done it the last like a couple years. It's fucking awesome. Um, shout out to the Peterson Bros and shout out to you know all the big dogs involved there, uh the grit and grain podcast. Fuck yeah. Let's go. Hold on. You know what I'm saying? Ron and all them people, you know what I mean? So there's some fucking great people down there, great place to go and during the day, too. That's a great daytime drinking spot. Um, there's a lot of great day drinking spots in Tacoma. Um I just like baseball, you know, I think day drinking is one of my favorite pastimes. And I'm not talking about going falling on your face drunk and waking up with a scab and shit like that. Like, come on, who the fuck fucking does that? Like it or not, sponsored by day drinking responsibly. That's who we're sponsored by. We're sponsored by Tower Vodka unofficially today. Um, and I'm trying to look for some fucking instrumentals here, man. Hold on here, guys. Hold on. Um, so in the midst of that, guys, world baseball classic, I did just bring up something else, day drinking. Um, and uh yeah, I'm all over the place here, guys, while I look for some Elliot or some trust one. Let's put some Elliot on first, though, man. If you guys didn't know Elliot Lip, then get to fucking know him. He's a tech town legend out there in New York right now, but he's all he's lived all around. And one of my old buddies from Stadium High School, graffiti artists. If you didn't know, maybe I shouldn't have said that. Secretive, secret shit. But uh this is um actually he has the the long way pause is coming April 3rd. You can pre-order that over at Elliotlip.com. Um and that's coming soon here, guys. So right now we're just gonna play some random shit though. Actually, I think we can play some shit off of that though. It's uh liphead, Elliot Lip and Blockhead. It's a mix of them. So yeah, y'all. Just chill out to the group to that while while we just fucking hold on, yeah. This is called a long in bread and butter. It's power called dip. Shout out to Ellie Lip though. Shout out to Block to Block, yeah. Come on. And uh shout out to me for staying on fucking topic here. I talked about day drinking, I went from one page to the other here in my notes. Not sure where I left off, but there's plenty of fun day drinking spots in Tacoma, y'all. Um I'm not sure. A peaks and pints was that that that's what I was talking about. They have a daily sandwich special, which if you follow them on Instagram, they then they you know, they have their daily uh sandwich special. And so you should uh get to know that for sure. What happened there? Hold on. Um and um so yeah. Um and and it's a they have a crazy tap list, you know. Uh I can't even tell you how many beers, maybe 40 plus, something like that. Something insane. And uh they've also got a plethora of of um regional and local beers, um, and actually beers from all over the country, really, that they have over in the in the cold case. So I mean you can take them and drink those there, or you can take them to go. Say you're just fucking you don't want to go to the corner store and get a bus light or a fucking rack of bus light or a rack of fucking courses, you know, and get all tired. You can go get a specialty local beer and support local while you're getting drunk. So you're supporting local, although you're getting drunk, you're like, man, I thought I wasn't gonna drink after dry January, but you know, then here you are. You know, so, anyways, guys, I'm just saying it's it's it's a great place. Uh day drink across the street, Corbeau. A place that I have failed to attend yet, but it did they have an amazing burger. I can just tell every time I see it, and I've heard so much about it. They have so many other more exquisite dishes, of course, and it's a like a French cuisine, a French inspired. Uh, and they, you know, stand for the right causes. There's some great people over there. And I mean, I can't wait to hop in. There is bar seating, there's limited bar seating, so if you get in there right at four, you probably can snag a seat at the bar if you're solo. Um so yeah, man, you know what I mean? You guys gotta tune back into that. This lip head and blockhead is hilarious here, dude. This song is fucking funny. I'm gonna change this shit up real quick here, y'all. Okay. But either way, guys, we're let's get back to the basics here, guys. A couple more new happy hours also in town. So shout out to them, though, by the way. The aforementioned um eatery and brewery I was talking about over there on North Proctor Street. Uh, 26th in Proctor, if you didn't know. A lot of new stuff going on over there, by the way, though, guys. Uh, Narrows Brewing does have a tap room there. And occasionally, like once or twice a week, they will have food trucks right in front. So be sure to follow them on Instagram and you know, and see what their one-off Wednesday beer is and see you know what they have going on. There's a bunch of some some great dudes doing great things. Um, and they're uh not bringing back that Proctor side to life, you know what I mean? But that's like in the old area where the old North End Tavern was at. If you know, you know. And if you don't know, now you know. No, no, no. Sheesh! Come on, guys. So, anyways, um Bigfoot Pizza. It's the it's tr it's transplanting North End residents um against Bigfoot Pizza for having too good of a time. And for you know, I'm gonna change, I'm gonna hold on real quick, sports fans. I'm gonna go to Trust One real quick because I know he has guaranteed uh and I love Elliot. Come on, guys. I just gotta go to uh Procto. I gotta I gotta pre-order that new shit. New shit, new shit. This shit's dope though. I probably should just keep it going actually for now, because I can't just change the mid-song. But guys, so support them. Uh that Proctor area is fucking popping like always. It's not like they need any help or any extra promotion. Um it's uh one of the best places in Tacoma for foot traffic, so I mean they they just have it unlocked there. It's and shout out to them. Uh yeah. Yeah, Clark, that there is an RB. Uh we're 21 minutes in, guys, so thank you all for sticking with me here through the fucking jambalaya that is the podcast right here. Um we've talked about a couple random things. We're on now to should we do it? Grand restaurant, yes, not should we do it, but I was gonna talk about sports betting, and I was like, let's wait on let's see if sports betting even makes the fucking cut. Uh but right now, guys, if you did not know, if you did not know, right now, guys, you can go to grand. Okay, and they are closed Sunday and Monday, so today's Thursday, tomorrow's Friday. So by the time this episode by the time you hear this episode, it'll probably be the day they're open. They have new happy hour menu uh items. Um they do open at like four o'clock. Yeah, they close at uh nine or ten usually every night. Uh happy hour is from four to six. And I'm not even gonna tell you guys, I'm gonna make you guys go and look right now, guys, but go follow them at grand. It's that's a G R A, that's two N's. Um They're right there on sixtaf next to Busybuddy, next to Triple Knock across the street from Pizza Time Pub, right there by Asada, right there by Primo Grill, right there by Kingfisher, and then right there by Pork Slight, right there by Sincere. Come on, guys, right there by the beautiful red hot, right around the corner from E9. Yeah, that's sixtaf corridor. Man, I tell you guys what, man. Bomb burger's right there, too, guys. You can't fucking beat sixth half. Man, O'Malley's right down the way, too. What y'all do for St. Patty's? Doyle's, O'Malley's, staying in. Did you know I'm probably staying in? I'll probably not drinking whiskey. I'll be drinking gin. It's not no shot at my Irish homies. I'm just joking. I am fucking so kidding you guys. I'm so fucking joking. Do not take me seriously. And I don't mean about the lyrics, I mean about like the tone of my voice and shit. Like I'm I I can act like oh god, it's hilarious. Okay, so back to basics, guys. Grand restaurant, though, guys. Check them out. Check the Instagram for actual pictures of what's on their menu because it shit's fucking amazing. Same with Busybody, which is their neighbor. Um they are open at four o'clock every day with actually two happy hours, a four to six, and then like a ten to I think a ten to close, maybe or something like that. Or um, but so go also check their page, Busybody, which means they boast. I mean, both both those spots, guys, have amazing chefs working there, an amazing team, and amazing team members working in those spots. Um and I mean I actually personally was lucky enough to recently go to Busybody and be invited by Dave Dacry, the fucking you know, flat man, over yes, yeah, that's that Dave. My cat was asking. Dave. And and so yeah, we were, you know, me and and Big Lou and um uh Chef Lou and Angels Cosina. Angel, he's the founder of Angels Cosina, the Tamale man. We got invited, guys, to go test the burgers out, and it was fucking awesome. And I tell you what, the driving burger is like a to die for everyday burger. I can wake up and eat it in my sleep, and they do it a little, I don't know when I say different, but just it's just man, they they don't fucking skimp on the cheese and the fucking secret sauce. It's like you fucking taste it in every bite. Um I I mean, gosh, I don't know what to say. And then I mean you guys have heard my post. If you if you follow me on Instagram, you see my post about their Royale burger. Now it is$21, right? You might be like, damn, it's 21 bucks, man. What the fuck? It's a six-ounce patty. Some top, I'm sure it's fucking some Snaker River Farms fucking meat, some some fire ass beef, you know what I mean? And there's a black garlic aioli, there's there's fried shallots, there's like a tomato gastric, um, there's bacon on there. And that tomato and the bacon, like Dell said, shout out to Dell. Let's go. And Brandon, let's go. Um, and Ina. Oh, hold on. And Jeremy. And the whole fucking team at Busybody and Grant. Come on, you guys. What did it's nothing they're connected restaurants, but they're neighbors. Uh, and anyways, guys, that burger had me jumping out my seat. I can totally see why it's 21 bucks, and I would pay that again any day of the week. So if you don't believe me, go see for yourself and then tell me that I'm a loser and I don't know what I'm talking about. Okay, moving on, sports fans. Also, the wings there though, guys, too. They're Buffalo wings, fucking top-notch, amazing. And then there's like these ones that are tossing fish sauce and seasoned with some other something I forgot, but I heard I needed to taste those, and I will. But when I tried the blue cheese, oh god damn. I must say their house made blue cheese is fucking amazing. When I tried those wings, they served the the Buffalo wings with house-made blue cheese. Oh my god. It was like that. It was that good. Um shit. ETC. My boys at ETC just fucking teamed up with the Kraken, and if you missed that drop, don't fret. Just go to a Kraken game, right? And then you can buy the fucking drop in the in the team store. So, you know, I mean, like, I've never bought anything outside of the store. You know, plus they're at Stadium Thriftway with the uh with the car deodorizers, what do they call them again? Oh my god. Oh man, I tell you what, dude. Sometimes you just go blank, you need a fucking sip of your towers and lemonade. Hold on. Let's take an intermission here real, real quick here. Shout out to Trust One. Okay. Um, okay, so we're back. And uh so ETC, guys, they have that drop up there now, and they also have another drop which recently came out last Saturday with that Sonic's jacket, that spring coat. Oh my god, sold out. They actually actually have smalls and mediums, but if you're a big dog, you're assed out. Um, so you really got to get on their fucking drops. If you really want to get something, you really need to show up and get it because it's not gonna be there, probably. Um, also, speaking of ETC, we're on the same block. Damn near. And I'm gonna talk about Wooden City, y'all, real quick, man. Wooden mother frickin' city. Shout out to Abe, shout out to the whole squad there at Wooden frickin' fucking city. Jesus. Oh my god, I just can't begin. I mean, I haven't been there in a minute. Okay, I've been there about three times in my life, which is I need to go there more. I'm tripping. But my wife and I went, um, we finally found some time out, and we gotta go on a little day, uh day date, and it was awesome. And I, of course, I had the burger, I had the freaking spicy lamb and beef rigatoni, and that was to die for. Um, we ordered the fucking the mushroom skewers, which were also so amazing. You can close your eyes and dip it in A1 and think you're eating a tender steak, maybe. I mean, it was that good. I'm not even fucking kidding. And that peel off shrimp is to fucking die for. That peel off shrimp, just fresh to order, is just amazing. You get they have this like thick ass like garlic butter, you can just douse it and just sink it all in, drown it. In other words, you know. And that was just a fun experience. Um if I could do it again, I would order or I order, I would reserve a seat at the at the bar instead of sitting in the restaurant. That's just me personally. Um I just think the bar would be dope. I think there's a little bit more space to eat there too. You gotta be super careful. You can't get fucking drunk in the restaurant there. Your elbows would knock a drink off, your hands moving quick, trying to talk about something, trying to explain something, and then just knock the drink off, you know? Okay, so that's another truss song here. Let's see here, guys. Let's make sure here. This is no worries from trust here. This is off uh this is from July 4th, 2020 2025. It's a seven-song drop um called So Certified, right here. You know what I mean? So I figure the sun's coming out here soon, guys. Spring is in the motherfucking air, so let's act like it, you know. Uh yeah, so dude, Wooden City, amazing guys. They're expanding too. It's a lot of good stuff happening here in Tacoma, and I'm glad Wooden City has just stayed here and loved us, and I'm glad we love them. Um, so again, shout out to them. Alright, guys. Also, um accounts to or actually real quick before I do that, let's let's shout out um All-Star Vintage. Let's uh uh shout out through Throwbacks Northwest. You know what I'm saying, guys? Like, real quick. My guys Rio and Rich, and we got Desi too, guys. They're a fucking it's a uh a team, a hard-ass working team um that bring they bring you guys the Seattle World Vintage Fair. And that is coming back to the Seattle Center, guys, on May 9th. So, right now, if you go follow either the Seattle World Vintage Fair, All-Star Vintage, or Throwbacks Northwest, you can find links to tickets right now. Um, they got some amazing local hosts and some cool ass events going on there, guys, crazy collaborations with local designers and you know what I mean?
