#104: MYTH BUSTING SERIES: Having a Pinterest Perfect Classroom is a MUST

I want to preface this by saying: there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with wanting a Pinterest perfect classroom. BUT if it’s causing you stress, anxiety and you feel like you’re going broke in the process… we should talk about it. 

So the question is… Is this a self imposed expectation? Is it a societal expectation? Is it a school expectation? 

I want to remind teachers of this:

• Your classroom will be amazing no matter what you put up on the bulletin boards
• Your classroom will never be a perfect place; you’re not perfect and neither are your students
• If you want to spend money on your classroom, give yourself a reasonable budget so you don’t feel like you’re going broke
• Try to stay away from comparing. You don’t know how long it’s taken a teacher to have the room set up and decorated the way he/she does.
