Have you ever been let down or disappointed by somebody in your life, your friend, your family? Heck, maybe even yourself? Well, in this episode, we are going to talk about certain situations that you might be disappointed and how you can move forward with it. And of course, we're also going to deep dove into how my past week has been. So let's get to it. Welcome to the Wealthy Woman podcast. If you are looking to create a lifestyle that you love by terms that you've defined, then you are in the right place. Hi, my name is Marilyn Rose, the founder and CEO. Wealthy women dot com. Serial entrepreneur, international speaker, business owner and investor. Let's get going to getting you started to become truly wealthy. Okay. Hey there, wealthy woman. So it has been such a wonderful week I've been doing. And I've been doing the work. I've been doing the work. Also, I had invested in a course through Tony Robbins for Business Mastery, and this is my second time doing Business Mastery. The first time I did it was in 2017, and the it was night and day difference because in 2017, wealthy woman wasn't even born yet. I had already been doing coaching and teaching online business and skill sets and digital marketing, but I wasn't I didn't have a bigger mission. And at that time the idea of wealthy woman was just getting started because I was acquiring that domain name. And before then. My mindset on business was very different. I was kind of sold this idea of always living the laptop lifestyle work from anywhere, kind of like the four hour workweek. And let's just say the four hour workweek is far beyond the truth when it comes to actually running a business, unless you're you're wanting to run a hobby, essentially. So. I hope that's not such a big newsflash for y'all, but yeah. Anyways, this is my my second time doing it and I love the virtual vibe because now like you can turn down all the other music if you know, if you're not feeling like all those jams. Although I totally get like getting into peak steak and peak steak. Peak steak. We are not trying to eat no steak now we're talking about peak state. Okay. So it's been absolutely incredible, incredible to go through this because not only have I gotten clarity, because during this post COVID, I kind of thought like, oh, I was going to retire, just live full time nurturer of the home, like take everything else and put it on the back burner. And then I realized, like, you know, wealthy woman has such potential to grow into something so beautiful and so amazing. And it's all because of you being here. It's all because of the questions that you ask and the things that I know women deserve. And it's all about empowering women to essentially get wealthy, not only how we think success is, but to really redefine wealth. Which is why whenever we host guests here that we always ask like, how do you define wealth? And so I encourage you as the listener to just send me a quick DM on Instagram with a 22nd video of how it is that you define wealth. I think that would be absolutely beautiful and amazing, so I would really appreciate it if you all do that anyways. It's been really beautiful to go through this business mastery because it's just given me more like clarity and more insights of where I want to go with this company and of course keeping it as a company because I love it. I love giving back and being a I love being a not necessarily an entrepreneur because. I like the aspect of stability where entrepreneurs are all for the risk, but I love the concept of giving back. And that's called as the artist. So. I'll go down. I'm going to go down on a Facebook Live about the insights that I've gotten with this business mastery. So this is not what this episode is about, but it's been a huge aspect of my week because it's been 2 p.m. UK time until 4 a.m. UK time, so my sleep schedule has been crazy and my ordering, let's just say I'm not even wearing my or a ring for those metrics. Although I love metrics and metrics, love me, I help metrics. You love metrics and metrics love you too. So. During this time. It's been interesting because I've been going through so many growth aspects in terms of the mind's eye, in terms of like little, little action steps that I need to take with my business to grow it. But at the same time, in the background, I have conversations going on with family and friends and. It's so interesting because, you know, sometimes family just hits you the hardest because you love them so much. You love them so much that any type of conversation that doesn't necessarily align with your bigger vision, it hurt. And you feel so disappointed and you feel sad and you feel let down and. It's How do you navigate this? And I know I've been going I have had some tough times this week, guys. So just being let down by different ideas that I had. Of course. Of course. Just like in business, you develop this over optimism of what business is going to look like and then you realize like, Oh my gosh, there's KPIs, there's team members, there's systems that I need to create. This is not just a fun project. And it's like, Oh my gosh, you just got like you get slapped in the face with reality. And so when sometimes when it comes with business, maybe you're developing a beautiful new friendship or you have a family member who can't attend one of your special events, it's hard because you love that person, but at the same time you're thinking, what? Like, are they not doing the same for me? Like why you fill up their bucket, but then you don't feel like your bucket is getting full up. Now I want to talk about it because sometimes not only do external people bring out this feeling of disappointment within us, but sometimes we get disappointed with ourselves, especially when it comes to like, maybe you have a launch in your business or you want to do a new webinar, you want us to do a new Instagram post and you got to like to use. And they were your mom, both of them were your mom. And you're thinking, Oh, man, like, what the heck happened? I thought I had really planned out this strategy. I thought I had really done everything I could. And now I feel disappointed. Well, sometimes we feel this disappointment not because of necessarily the situation, but how we're communicating it. And and the end of the day, sometimes what we have is we have these crazy, crazy expectations of others and ourselves without actually looking at the reality stage and also without having the gratitude. And so anytime we have a this belief system, well, anytime we feel certain emotions that make us feel sad, disappointed, angry, frustrated, all of a sudden we start to build up these stories around a person, around an idea, around the thing. Oh, my gosh, this person's crazy. Oh, my gosh, this person doesn't care about me. Oh, my gosh. This business idea is never going to work. But what you're doing when you're creating this, that fact, that belief, now you're automatically creating stories around that belief and it's becoming instilled with you. And so, for example, say you're thinking, oh, this person really had it out for me. They did this intentionally. You have to do this three step framework, and this works for any type of belief system, okay? It works for limiting money beliefs that works for limiting beliefs with other people. It works for any business beliefs, any type of belief that might be holding you back. You have to go through and actively do this framework that I'm about to share with you right now. This is not my own framework. It stems from Brian, Brian Casey and also, of course, Tony Robbins. And conscious leadership groups pretty much it's like a framework of belief systems. And so one of the things is when you have this belief, for example, you're thinking this person is crazy, and then you start to come up stories. They're crazy because they did this. They're crazy because they did that. They're crazy because they did this or this person intentionally had it out for me and they did it because they planned this event on the same time was mine, or they did this with the intention to hurt me, or they did this because they didn't want me to join it. Or with your business, for example, my launch didn't work out. Nobody's ever going to want to be my coaching program. And then you think, Well, maybe because you had no one signed up, you had different views, or you're thinking, Well, wasn't good enough because you did everything step every step right. So the first thing is to actually understand what is that belief system? What is it that you have going on? What is that statement that you're saying? You have to separate the facts from the stories because emotions are such a fuel, they're energy, so they're fueling different things. But you can refuel it. You can repurpose that energy to refuel your new trip, your new mental trip of excitement and joy instead of negative things. So you first separate the fact, the fact based evidence in the stories. The second thing that you do is you ask yourself, is this absolutely 100% with certainty true? Now, most of the time it's not true, guys. And some people will have the concept. Again, conscious leadership is that every single thing is not true or not and not false. But there is always truth in in everything. And so you have to understand, like, what part, where do you want to give your truth to essentially? So ask yourself, is this really true? Like, did this person have it out for me? Well, no, it's probably not true. But so what? I don't care. I'm angry, I'm upset, and I want I want it to be true. But you have to, again, go back to the question like, okay, well, is it true if it's not true, like let's move forward. So then after you figure out, like, okay, it's not true, you think about. Well, okay. How is this making me feel? Because you have to identify what emotions are running through you. It's making me feel upset. It's making me feel disappointed. Angry, furious, lonely, sad, joy. Happiness, I guess. Proving that I was right at the end. You want to understand? Okay, well, what are these true emotions? Like? Where where is it coming? Because when you're feeling angry, sad, lonely, frustrated, then you can ask yourself, can what are the opposite of these feelings? Well, if you don't want to feel sad or angry because this person was making you feel they you thought that they intentionally did wrong to you. Well, the opposite of the feeling would be happy and joyful and love. And so then you have to ask yourself, okay, when did this person make you feel happy, joyful loves, or when did this situation make you feel happy, joyful love. So if your business launch flopped, you had growing pains, you had different aspects to it that didn't work out. And it made you feel sad, frustrated. It said, Well, when do you feel happy and excited about it? Well, I feel excited when I work with the client or I feel excited when this person get the transformation because they got an idea from one thing that I spoke about, or I feel so happy and excited because I know this person. Whenever we do get in the same room, we make each other feel special. We talk to each other. We have laughs. It's like we've never left each other or this person I can imagine. I just love being with them because they brought me so much bliss and joy for when time I needed that. So you ask yourself, okay, so what is the opposite of that feeling from that first statement? And when you feel this way, then what is the statement that is attached to that? What is the opposite of your original statement? Well, this person intentionally held out to me too. Well, this person didn't intentionally have anything out for me other than goodness. Or maybe I they thought I, I did it. So you bring it into state that you reduce the stories around that belief system and create your new belief system. And that is how you get over any type of not only when you feel disappointed or discouraged or lonely. That's how you get to a place where you're feeling magnificent and wonderful and joyful and you can change your belief systems. You change your emotions, you change your state, you change your actions. And these actions are what fuel what it is that you want to do in life, what it is that you want to do with your time, your precious time that you have in this earth, and how you contribute to connecting with another human. So when that comes to said, that's just something that I want all of us to work on together because when we're able to do that, not only do we become better humans for ourselves, but we also learn to process and regulate emotions for ourselves. And so what is my week been looking like? I've been doing ice baths. I've been digging cold lunges. If you're following my Instagram, you'll see a few of these videos. But I love cold therapy now, and I started it the first time with Jesse Adler, and then I did it again with Tony Robbins in The Life Mastery. And then I did it again willfully on my own, I guess. Of course, you had to go get some ice and just fill it up in the bathtub because Lenny ain't got no space for me, me buying a cute polar plunge unless it's out there trying to sponsor me. That'd be great. But I love the feeling because there's something about what happens. And I tell you this so much. I used to be a girl who would cry just for being out in the cold of a cold shower. And now here I am enthusiastically getting into cold. I don't always look forward to it, but I look forward to the result because the result is absolutely incredible. You feel like you've just been given a new vitality. Your new second life is new second chance of freshness and youth. It's incredible. And the reason why. I love this so much is because not only does the cold release so many scientific things that's going on, listen to, I think Dr. Mark Hyman. He talks about like all the benefits of like the physical, the physiology of what cold punches do. But the emotional side, the psychology side is that you get to understand that you're in full control of your emotional regulation, like 100% you get to be in control because as soon as you go into that that ice plunger, you no one's going to be step their toes, like dipping their toe into the cold. You need to just jump in, go right in right away. And I braced myself. I braced myself, my hands close to my my legs. And I go in and you take that breath, you start to re control that claim on your breath. And it's such a beautiful thing that God has given us this ability of breathing, because most of our our bodies are in this involuntary state, our heartbeat. And we're thankful for it like our heartbeats all the time. When we're not thinking about it, it's beating it. Beating. And when we're going to sleep, it's beating when we are organs, our digestive systems that work all the our brains at work. But our breath our breath is something that it's both voluntary and involuntary. It's involuntary. And you love it being involuntary because when you're sleeping at night, you're still breathing to live another day. But the thing about the voluntary aspect is that you get to control. You get to control. How you're breathing the air and this breath that we have is our life. Because without air, without oxygen, we we don't live. And most of us don't actually know how to breathe. I remember when I was in cheerleading and I was younger in all these athletic sports track. One of the things that we learned was breathing and just breathing of when you're running, breathing, when you're jumping, cheering or holding someone in the air being thrown into the air because you got a you got to keep breathing for this short amount of time. In a high stress zone. But one thing that I remember was taking that breathing from athlete athletics and applying it towards my mental states. And I remember in class, like in high school, maybe I was even middle school, we were doing an activity and it was like a competition between this team and that team. And I remember thinking to myself, I'm going to be so quick at it. I got this and I was just a rush. I was thinking like, Oh my gosh, like, I want to win, I want to win, but I'm so nervous. I'll know what I'm doing. This is so new for me and I remember the other person held on to their breath. They went well, they were quickly trying to get things done and it was like, Oh my gosh, how are you reading? And I just remember seeing that and I said, Breathe, breathe. And in that moment, it seemed like time slowed down that my brain went into a hyper focus and I was able to do the action that I wanted to do in this state while it was like everyone was going around me, chaos, cheering. And then all of a sudden, that moment of that clarity, of my breathwork, of just breathing, I was able to come in with focus to get what needed to be done. And of course, this yoga one, of course, we won. But it was. In that moment, I didn't realize how powerful breath work was. And now as I'm older and I'm coming into more real big adult life, things like back then it was like a school project. Now it's okay, well, where do I live? Like, what do I. Who is my spouse? Where? It's location. What's my next life step? You've got real life decisions, and the three things that truly make up your wealth are these three. Three things, by the way, three things make up the the aspect of your wealth is one is your vocation. Two is the location you live, and three is your spouse. These are the three most important aspects for what wealth is. And so when you're making these big adult decisions for what's going to define your wealth, especially if you're somebody who's getting married and you're looking forward to the wedding, but you're not looking forward to that the spouse or you think that we're living in some romcoms and that it's going to be so easy. Or maybe you're moving into a big city and you realize like, Oh my gosh, big city comes big city problems. Like there is no friendly people out here that all these big city things are these big life decisions. And sometimes maybe it's just the decision. It could be deeper if you're going to leave your spouse, if that's just not working out for you, or if you get into a situation where you have to end your business or you have to like take a pause, you have to reclaim that breathing aspect. And it's such a beautiful thing because that's what cold plunges do. It allows you to go into these extreme states of coldness. And when you breathe through that moment, your body generates. He isn't like this. Your body automatically like goes into this beautiful homeostasis. We live in some weird times, not so much in the UK, but more in America, where there's air conditioning in the hot heat and there's heat in the cold winter. So your body doesn't have to do as much regulating because the external factors are doing that regulation for you and whether it's air conditioning or not, most of the time we're doing these things because of our the food that we eat or the people that we hang out with. It's regulating for you instead of you choosing to regulate yourself. So. That's why I've been doing this cold plunges and I highly recommend it to anyone becoming a raving fan of these ice baths. And you don't need a fancy cold plunge. You can. I love I'm all for the boozy BYO hacks, but you could also go and buy four bags of ice for $4£4 and put it in your bathtub with cold water. Like, there you go, that's your ice bath hack. So I want you to try it. And if you do try it, I would love for you to tag me in your stories and post on Instagram or Facebook, or just tag me because I want to cheer you on. I want to root for you to go through this process of a a true healing process, both mentally, emotionally and physically. Now. What else have I been up to other than cold plunges and business mastery? I've been going through figuring out what are my next plans for getting ready to go to America. I'm so excited to be going back to my parents and my home town in Wisconsin. So that's something that I have to look forward to. And I, I become a last minute packer. I've become a last minute packer because I've packed so much that I'm like, okay, I know this system of where what I need to bring, where my things are. And it's like a ten minute process because it's more like mentally there. And it's just like when you're running business, you know, the first time when you're doing it, it's like, oh my gosh, like it's so unknown. And then after you start doing it more and more, it becomes almost like instant. And then you just it's like an autopilot, beautiful system. So I'm a last minute packers and no, I've not packed yet. And I am also going to be doing a hike. I found this group and I'm so happy because she's going to be the person of this group. The person who ran this group is going to be coming on as a guest for this podcast, and she's going to talk to you a little bit more about why she started and what she's doing. But it's just a beautiful group of ladies who get together and are so incredible to go on hiking and other adventures. And I think every single woman needs to do it. Every single woman needs to be able to get out in nature and do it with a group of girls like you don't always need this distress of taking care of everybody, but just going to take care of yourself. And of course, we're very serving women, but at the same time, sometimes you get overwhelmed because your mom or your wife or your daughter in law or your daughter and you're taking care of everybody all the time. And when you're on vacation, it's not a vacation because you're doing all the work that you were doing at home and you didn't take a break. But it's so beautiful to be able to go on an experience to connect with nature and not have to do the same routine, but being able to do something that is challenging for yourself, but also in a beautiful way, and to connect with all these different humans in and lovely sisters because it's a sisters only group. So I'm so excited to be introducing her as a guest in a few a few episodes from now, but I'm loving it so much. So I've just been looking forward to like, Oh, when's the next trip? When's the next Viking wind? My next adventure. I absolutely love it. In terms of body guys, this business mastery time zone thing has been so tiring and I have put in my gym membership unfreeze for the longest time. Like have you? When have you? Have you ever gotten to a time where you're so in a routine and then you're going in the flow and then all of a sudden, like different things happen and you have to put it on pause. Well, that was what kind of happened with my gym membership. I was doing so many other things and I just couldn't get into the gym because it was summertime and I just wanted to be outside. So I've been going for walks, which I think are the most beautiful thing ever. When you can just go for a 20 minute walk, 30 minute walk, 40 minute walk it your 10,000 steps in. It's such a game changer because your body's moving and you get so much more clarity and energy. I highly recommend every single one of you to just get outside, especially when the sun rises and the world's still pretty quiet. You just go for a nice walk. It doesn't have to be anything intense or crazy. Even though I've been getting back into running and I love it. There was a time I hated running. Okay. I don't know if I would love it now. I just like the endorphins you get. But I didn't like running at all. And so I love athletic. I don't like doing the same thing all the time. I just love the stimulus of having different scenery and being able to do something else. And sometimes when I run like I know I run the steam round, I'm like, Oh, this it and that's all I'm seeing. So I love going for a long bike ride and I love going for hikes and I love going for like lifting and doing things that are more like mind, body, soul and sometimes running came a disconnect of my mind and my body because. I would just I don't even know what I focused on when I was running. I would just get out of both places. And it's important when you're working out or you're doing anything that you're not disconnecting. Because we live so much of our lives already in disconnect. Even though we're connected on social. How connected are we to the human? Even though we're connected on. Virtual living. How much are we actually connected to living even though we live with someone? How connected are you to that person that you're living with? And so we don't want to disconnect in terms in the name of good health. You don't want to disconnect from your mind or your body. You want to do is reconnect and start aiming to reconnect yourself in every single aspect, which means reconnect with your mind, your body and your soul. And one thing it's like most people say that business is 80, 80, 80%, 80% mindset and 20% skill. But what they don't tell you is that mindset comes with your body and your soul. That 80% mindset is also how connected are with you about your body and soul, because you can have the best mindset ability, but you're not taking care of your body or your relationships are struggling, your spirituality, suffering, you haven't connected to God. And all of a sudden now it feels like. Okay. Well, my mindset isn't growing any more. It stinks stagnant because these other issues are calling for your attention, too. But when you're able to connect your mind, body, soul, spirit. And you're able to say, okay, like we're all here in this together. One As a woman. That gut instinct, that intuition starts to come alive. And we're living in times that. We're like that. Gut intuition is no longer speaking to us because our gut health is so unhealthy, but also because we haven't connected of like what is our intention? What is the reason that I'm doing this? And so again, you might be going out for the run, but when you're first starting that run, just think. Truly. What is your intention? Do I want to get closer to myself during this run? Or where am I going with this? Because intention makes such a difference and you have to decide what that intention is. So that's pretty much my life update. I've been doing the Cold Plunge Business Mastery and I'm going getting ready to go to America before America. Actually, I'm going to Leicester for like the rest of my stages for unani tib training. Just quick throwing in that and I'm excited. Leicester is in the UK. It's just, it's like a little, a little place, but it's such a rejuvenating oasis and I've gotten so much growth from this one aspect. So. That we've got that going on. So we get the travels, we get the the health, the all the fun things. And other than that. I want to thank you so much for your time, and I hope that this has been just so beautifully helpful for you. And we will speak soon. And that's a wrap.
