And they can succumb"},{"startTime":54.78,"endTime":61.29,"body":"to severe insecurity, that is"},{"startTime":54.78,"endTime":61.29,"body":"sometimes even magnified because"},{"startTime":61.29,"endTime":66.09,"body":"of their fame. And because of"},{"startTime":61.29,"endTime":66.09,"body":"their praise. Because then they"},{"startTime":66.09,"endTime":70.44,"body":"can feel unworthy and"},{"startTime":66.09,"endTime":70.44,"body":"undeserving of praise. They can"},{"startTime":70.44,"endTime":75.27,"body":"feel like people don't know the"},{"startTime":70.44,"endTime":75.27,"body":"real them. People wouldn't"},{"startTime":75.27,"endTime":79.56,"body":"accept them, if they knew the"},{"startTime":75.27,"endTime":79.56,"body":"real them. Or they feel like"},{"startTime":79.56,"endTime":83.28,"body":"frauds. They feel like their"},{"startTime":79.56,"endTime":83.28,"body":"work is terrible. I see so many"},{"startTime":141.6,"endTime":145.2,"body":"people all over the world,"},{"startTime":146.52,"endTime":153.21,"body":"frequently, who are living"},{"startTime":146.52,"endTime":153.21,"body":"idyllic lifestyles, in beautiful"},{"startTime":153.21,"endTime":159.84,"body":"nature, with lots of free time,"},{"startTime":153.21,"endTime":159.84,"body":"with close friends and family"},{"startTime":160.8,"endTime":166.08,"body":"with incredible home cooked food"},{"startTime":160.8,"endTime":166.08,"body":"cooked with love. I mean, I'm"},{"startTime":166.08,"endTime":170.76,"body":"literally describing every poor"},{"startTime":166.08,"endTime":170.76,"body":"village in the world right now."},{"startTime":172.47,"endTime":177.12,"body":"But because cell phones are"},{"startTime":172.47,"endTime":177.12,"body":"starting to make their way to"},{"startTime":177.12,"endTime":181.08,"body":"these places, they're getting on"},{"startTime":177.12,"endTime":181.08,"body":"Instagram, they're getting on"},{"startTime":181.08,"endTime":185.25,"body":"tick tock, and they're seeing"},{"startTime":181.08,"endTime":185.25,"body":"that there's these five star"},{"startTime":185.25,"endTime":186.06,"body":"restaurants."},{"startTime":187.71,"endTime":191.58,"body":"They're seeing these weird"},{"startTime":187.71,"endTime":191.58,"body":"bicycles that can go 200 miles"},{"startTime":191.58,"endTime":195.9,"body":"an hour and make really loud"},{"startTime":191.58,"endTime":195.9,"body":"noises. And now they want one of"},{"startTime":195.9,"endTime":202.11,"body":"these Harley Davidson things, or"},{"startTime":195.9,"endTime":202.11,"body":"go to Hawaii, or go to the"},{"startTime":202.11,"endTime":207.21,"body":"French Riviera, and drive around"},{"startTime":202.11,"endTime":207.21,"body":"in a Ferrari, and all of those"},{"startTime":207.24,"endTime":210.51,"body":"things they never even knew"},{"startTime":207.24,"endTime":210.51,"body":"existed. And now they feel they"},{"startTime":210.51,"endTime":216.6,"body":"can't live without. And so their"},{"startTime":210.51,"endTime":216.6,"body":"picture perfect lifestyle, the"},{"startTime":216.6,"endTime":222.03,"body":"way human beings really have"},{"startTime":216.6,"endTime":222.03,"body":"been living for the longest"},{"startTime":222.03,"endTime":222.48,"body":"time."},{"startTime":224.25,"endTime":230.52,"body":"And how we flourished as people"},{"startTime":224.25,"endTime":230.52,"body":"is now no longer good enough for"},{"startTime":230.52,"endTime":234.0,"body":"us. Because there is now in our"},{"startTime":230.52,"endTime":234.0,"body":"mind,"},{"startTime":235.14,"endTime":240.81,"body":"some things something else and"},{"startTime":235.14,"endTime":240.81,"body":"someplace else. And as long as"},{"startTime":240.81,"endTime":247.74,"body":"there is this longing, this"},{"startTime":240.81,"endTime":247.74,"body":"craving, we can never be"},{"startTime":247.74,"endTime":253.02,"body":"grateful. And we can never be at"},{"startTime":247.74,"endTime":253.02,"body":"peace, where we are. And so we"},{"startTime":253.02,"endTime":258.0,"body":"really have to explore and go"},{"startTime":253.02,"endTime":258.0,"body":"deep into our psyche and deep"},{"startTime":258.0,"endTime":266.28,"body":"into our past and dive into"},{"startTime":258.0,"endTime":266.28,"body":"where on earth we got these"},{"startTime":266.46,"endTime":273.96,"body":"ideas in our head about what"},{"startTime":266.46,"endTime":273.96,"body":"makes a person worthy, valuable,"},{"startTime":275.52,"endTime":276.57,"body":"respectable."},{"startTime":278.1,"endTime":283.44,"body":"And it's easy to see where that"},{"startTime":278.1,"endTime":283.44,"body":"comes from on television. And in"},{"startTime":283.44,"endTime":289.32,"body":"the movies. The rich person is"},{"startTime":283.44,"endTime":289.32,"body":"always the winner most powerful"},{"startTime":289.8,"endTime":295.11,"body":"and the lower status people are"},{"startTime":289.8,"endTime":295.11,"body":"always lower income people. And"},{"startTime":295.11,"endTime":299.94,"body":"so just this subtle way that it"},{"startTime":295.11,"endTime":299.94,"body":"affects our subconscious"},{"startTime":300.0,"endTime":307.32,"body":"where we just see how society in"},{"startTime":300.0,"endTime":307.32,"body":"really every sphere of"},{"startTime":308.76,"endTime":315.69,"body":"public discourse, this worship"},{"startTime":308.76,"endTime":315.69,"body":"of the dollar, this idea in our"},{"startTime":315.69,"endTime":320.97,"body":"head that he who dies with the"},{"startTime":315.69,"endTime":320.97,"body":"most wins, and that the very"},{"startTime":320.97,"endTime":327.57,"body":"best of us are the ones who can"},{"startTime":320.97,"endTime":327.57,"body":"most adopt that corporate"},{"startTime":327.6,"endTime":331.95,"body":"mindset, which is to cut costs"},{"startTime":327.6,"endTime":331.95,"body":"at"},{"startTime":333.18,"endTime":339.87,"body":"any cost, to maximize profits"},{"startTime":333.18,"endTime":339.87,"body":"and maximize results at any"},{"startTime":339.87,"endTime":340.44,"body":"cost."},{"startTime":341.49,"endTime":344.25,"body":"And if we're willing to do that,"},{"startTime":341.49,"endTime":344.25,"body":"if we're willing to sacrifice"},{"startTime":344.28,"endTime":348.09,"body":"everything in our lives for that"},{"startTime":344.28,"endTime":348.09,"body":"advancement,"},{"startTime":349.2,"endTime":356.46,"body":"we will get ahead, succeed,"},{"startTime":349.2,"endTime":356.46,"body":"achieve, and then we will be"},{"startTime":357.54,"endTime":358.92,"body":"granted by"},{"startTime":360.21,"endTime":366.72,"body":"the universe with everlasting"},{"startTime":360.21,"endTime":366.72,"body":"contentment and lasting peace."},{"startTime":367.2,"endTime":372.69,"body":"No, I'm kidding. Of course, we"},{"startTime":367.2,"endTime":372.69,"body":"will sacrifice everything, lose"},{"startTime":372.69,"endTime":377.4,"body":"everything, have a imbalanced"},{"startTime":372.69,"endTime":377.4,"body":"life."},{"startTime":378.72,"endTime":384.09,"body":"But we will, there's a good"},{"startTime":378.72,"endTime":384.09,"body":"chance achieve great wealth, and"},{"startTime":384.57,"endTime":388.38,"body":"great achievement and acclaim"},{"startTime":384.57,"endTime":388.38,"body":"and fame and praise."},{"startTime":389.46,"endTime":394.59,"body":"But the problem with looking at"},{"startTime":389.46,"endTime":394.59,"body":"life, as this series of"},{"startTime":394.59,"endTime":398.88,"body":"achievements in these boxes we"},{"startTime":394.59,"endTime":398.88,"body":"need to check off is that the"},{"startTime":398.88,"endTime":404.91,"body":"checking off the achievement,"},{"startTime":398.88,"endTime":404.91,"body":"the win, happens for a brief"},{"startTime":404.91,"endTime":410.91,"body":"moment, a fraction of a second."},{"startTime":404.91,"endTime":410.91,"body":"And so it's this emotional"},{"startTime":410.94,"endTime":416.85,"body":"roller coaster that we're stuck"},{"startTime":410.94,"endTime":416.85,"body":"on. That goes from trying so"},{"startTime":416.85,"endTime":421.38,"body":"hard. I mean, usually the people"},{"startTime":416.85,"endTime":421.38,"body":"who achieve the most feel the"},{"startTime":421.38,"endTime":425.82,"body":"most insecure and worthless, and"},{"startTime":421.38,"endTime":425.82,"body":"they feel they have something to"},{"startTime":425.82,"endTime":430.71,"body":"prove. And we hear so many"},{"startTime":425.82,"endTime":430.71,"body":"times, super successful people"},{"startTime":431.16,"endTime":435.84,"body":"talk about how terrible their"},{"startTime":431.16,"endTime":435.84,"body":"parents were, and how they"},{"startTime":435.84,"endTime":438.72,"body":"aren't like that to their kids."},{"startTime":435.84,"endTime":438.72,"body":"And then they always end the"},{"startTime":438.72,"endTime":443.34,"body":"story with. And that's why I am"},{"startTime":438.72,"endTime":443.34,"body":"the success I am today. But no,"},{"startTime":443.37,"endTime":444.09,"body":"not for my kids."},{"startTime":445.23,"endTime":449.55,"body":"And of course, I'm not saying,"},{"startTime":445.23,"endTime":449.55,"body":"you know, be cruel to kids, no"},{"startTime":449.55,"endTime":449.73,"body":"way."},{"startTime":451.59,"endTime":457.47,"body":"But what I am saying is that,"},{"startTime":451.59,"endTime":457.47,"body":"that need to achieve often"},{"startTime":457.5,"endTime":466.2,"body":"masks, a deep insecurity and a"},{"startTime":457.5,"endTime":466.2,"body":"inner voice of severe criticism"},{"startTime":466.62,"endTime":472.89,"body":"that usually is adopted from a"},{"startTime":466.62,"endTime":472.89,"body":"very critical parent. And for"},{"startTime":472.89,"endTime":477.63,"body":"the record, I believe that"},{"startTime":472.89,"endTime":477.63,"body":"through teaching mindfulness,"},{"startTime":477.69,"endTime":479.91,"body":"and even meditation to children"},{"startTime":481.05,"endTime":482.67,"body":"can really help them"},{"startTime":484.17,"endTime":490.02,"body":"hear parents better, because"},{"startTime":484.17,"endTime":490.02,"body":"their ability to sit and to calm"},{"startTime":490.02,"endTime":494.94,"body":"the mind is so much improved"},{"startTime":490.02,"endTime":494.94,"body":"from meditation, that when we"},{"startTime":494.94,"endTime":499.89,"body":"are able to just sit with our"},{"startTime":494.94,"endTime":499.89,"body":"children in a way where they're"},{"startTime":499.89,"endTime":503.28,"body":"not bouncing off the walls, we"},{"startTime":499.89,"endTime":503.28,"body":"can really talk to them about"},{"startTime":503.28,"endTime":507.03,"body":"anything, and they are able to"},{"startTime":503.28,"endTime":507.03,"body":"absorb that information so much"},{"startTime":507.06,"endTime":511.62,"body":"better. And so I think there are"},{"startTime":507.06,"endTime":511.62,"body":"much better ways we can instill"},{"startTime":511.62,"endTime":515.97,"body":"that hard work ethic, that"},{"startTime":511.62,"endTime":515.97,"body":"ambition,"},{"startTime":517.32,"endTime":521.85,"body":"without the fear, and without"},{"startTime":517.32,"endTime":521.85,"body":"the stress, because I think we"},{"startTime":521.85,"endTime":526.89,"body":"can actually perform better"},{"startTime":521.85,"endTime":526.89,"body":"without those hindrances. But"},{"startTime":526.89,"endTime":531.78,"body":"for adults who've lived a"},{"startTime":526.89,"endTime":531.78,"body":"childhood, in a kind of"},{"startTime":531.78,"endTime":533.31,"body":"household that was,"},{"startTime":534.42,"endTime":538.92,"body":"at the time seemingly very cruel"},{"startTime":534.42,"endTime":538.92,"body":"and strict, you know, one of"},{"startTime":538.92,"endTime":542.16,"body":"those homes where you come home"},{"startTime":538.92,"endTime":542.16,"body":"with a 98, and they say what's"},{"startTime":542.16,"endTime":545.76,"body":"up with the other two points."},{"startTime":542.16,"endTime":545.76,"body":"And of course, those children"},{"startTime":545.76,"endTime":550.38,"body":"may grow up to be great"},{"startTime":545.76,"endTime":550.38,"body":"successes, they also can grow up"},{"startTime":550.89,"endTime":554.79,"body":"to feel they have to prove"},{"startTime":550.89,"endTime":554.79,"body":"something to the world, they can"},{"startTime":554.79,"endTime":559.77,"body":"never feel good enough. And we"},{"startTime":554.79,"endTime":559.77,"body":"see this time and again, where"},{"startTime":560.1,"endTime":566.97,"body":"our most beloved celebrities,"},{"startTime":560.1,"endTime":566.97,"body":"people who have the job, anyone"},{"startTime":567.09,"endTime":568.14,"body":"would kill for"},{"startTime":569.43,"endTime":573.81,"body":"and they commit suicide, or they"},{"startTime":569.43,"endTime":573.81,"body":"have public struggles with"},{"startTime":573.81,"endTime":578.55,"body":"mental health. They can be"},{"startTime":573.81,"endTime":578.55,"body":"depressed, they can feel as"},{"startTime":578.55,"endTime":580.17,"body":"though they have to"},{"startTime":581.61,"endTime":584.91,"body":"put on a very brave face to"},{"startTime":581.61,"endTime":584.91,"body":"everyone and that there's no one"},{"startTime":584.91,"endTime":589.89,"body":"they can truly confide in or"},{"startTime":584.91,"endTime":589.89,"body":"open up to. And this can cause"},{"startTime":589.92,"endTime":594.78,"body":"enormous suffering as well. And"},{"startTime":589.92,"endTime":594.78,"body":"so my answer to anyone who is"},{"startTime":594.78,"endTime":598.74,"body":"suffering with that"},{"startTime":594.78,"endTime":598.74,"body":"worthlessness, is to remember"},{"startTime":598.74,"endTime":599.97,"body":"that it has not"},{"startTime":600.0,"endTime":605.37,"body":"thing to do with your bank"},{"startTime":600.0,"endTime":605.37,"body":"account, your marital status,"},{"startTime":605.7,"endTime":609.21,"body":"your job title, your"},{"startTime":610.349,"endTime":614.459,"body":"level of respect and praise you"},{"startTime":610.349,"endTime":614.459,"body":"get from your friends and"},{"startTime":614.459,"endTime":619.889,"body":"family, you can have all of that"},{"startTime":614.459,"endTime":619.889,"body":"and feel worthless. And if we"},{"startTime":619.889,"endTime":625.949,"body":"are going to create a path"},{"startTime":619.889,"endTime":625.949,"body":"forward, that is free from that"},{"startTime":626.639,"endTime":633.779,"body":"self hatred, then we need to"},{"startTime":626.639,"endTime":633.779,"body":"right now re condition our mind"},{"startTime":634.86,"endTime":641.34,"body":"relearn what a good life is,"},{"startTime":634.86,"endTime":641.34,"body":"what do we value the most? Is it"},{"startTime":641.4,"endTime":648.81,"body":"kindness? Is it freedom? Is it"},{"startTime":641.4,"endTime":648.81,"body":"free time? Or is it"},{"startTime":650.22,"endTime":651.06,"body":"a bank account?"},{"startTime":652.83,"endTime":656.34,"body":"A square foot requirement for a"},{"startTime":652.83,"endTime":656.34,"body":"house"},{"startTime":658.02,"endTime":660.36,"body":"a certain brand of boat,"},{"startTime":662.22,"endTime":666.39,"body":"we can have all the money in the"},{"startTime":662.22,"endTime":666.39,"body":"world. If we are surrounded by"},{"startTime":666.39,"endTime":673.47,"body":"selfish or cruel or dishonest,"},{"startTime":666.39,"endTime":673.47,"body":"then all the money in the world"},{"startTime":673.68,"endTime":679.65,"body":"will not make us happy. The more"},{"startTime":673.68,"endTime":679.65,"body":"we start to value, kindness, and"},{"startTime":679.68,"endTime":684.93,"body":"honesty, friendship, and love,"},{"startTime":679.68,"endTime":684.93,"body":"right now"},{"startTime":686.64,"endTime":692.55,"body":"the more our lives become filled"},{"startTime":686.64,"endTime":692.55,"body":"with people that match our"},{"startTime":692.55,"endTime":693.36,"body":"values."},{"startTime":694.38,"endTime":699.24,"body":"So if we are feeling unworthy,"},{"startTime":694.38,"endTime":699.24,"body":"because the people around us"},{"startTime":699.3,"endTime":705.42,"body":"don't value us, then we may be"},{"startTime":699.3,"endTime":705.42,"body":"valuing the wrong people, or the"},{"startTime":705.42,"endTime":708.87,"body":"wrong traits and"},{"startTime":705.42,"endTime":708.87,"body":"characteristics."},{"startTime":710.25,"endTime":714.63,"body":"For being in the people we wish"},{"startTime":710.25,"endTime":714.63,"body":"to spend our time with. Now,"},{"startTime":714.63,"endTime":719.88,"body":"this in no way is saying cut"},{"startTime":714.63,"endTime":719.88,"body":"anybody out. But it is saying to"},{"startTime":719.88,"endTime":726.3,"body":"be aware of the people that"},{"startTime":719.88,"endTime":726.3,"body":"drain our energy, the people who"},{"startTime":726.57,"endTime":729.93,"body":"want to bring us down. And to"},{"startTime":726.57,"endTime":729.93,"body":"simply"},{"startTime":731.16,"endTime":735.87,"body":"define in our mind what"},{"startTime":731.16,"endTime":735.87,"body":"appropriate boundaries are with"},{"startTime":735.87,"endTime":741.03,"body":"these people, be there to give"},{"startTime":735.87,"endTime":741.03,"body":"them love be there to give them"},{"startTime":742.56,"endTime":748.5,"body":"a shoulder to lean on when they"},{"startTime":742.56,"endTime":748.5,"body":"need it, but not at the expense"},{"startTime":748.59,"endTime":752.34,"body":"of our inner peace of our"},{"startTime":748.59,"endTime":752.34,"body":"purpose in life."},{"startTime":753.36,"endTime":757.5,"body":"But in order to do that, we"},{"startTime":753.36,"endTime":757.5,"body":"first need to really get"},{"startTime":757.5,"endTime":763.77,"body":"comfortable and confident with"},{"startTime":757.5,"endTime":763.77,"body":"who we are in our own skin."},{"startTime":764.88,"endTime":770.64,"body":"We have to recognize our value"},{"startTime":764.88,"endTime":770.64,"body":"from within,"},{"startTime":771.75,"endTime":777.93,"body":"beyond other people's opinions"},{"startTime":771.75,"endTime":777.93,"body":"and judgments. We can't be truly"},{"startTime":777.96,"endTime":784.14,"body":"confident until we truly know"},{"startTime":777.96,"endTime":784.14,"body":"ourselves. So here are three"},{"startTime":784.17,"endTime":787.11,"body":"ways that I recommend"},{"startTime":788.88,"endTime":793.92,"body":"for building up that self worth"},{"startTime":788.88,"endTime":793.92,"body":"and confidence and value and"},{"startTime":793.95,"endTime":799.29,"body":"inner peace and contentment. So"},{"startTime":793.95,"endTime":799.29,"body":"the first thing is challenges"},{"startTime":800.31,"endTime":801.9,"body":"create little"},{"startTime":803.13,"endTime":810.39,"body":"wins in our daily life, as many"},{"startTime":803.13,"endTime":810.39,"body":"as possible. This is just a kind"},{"startTime":810.39,"endTime":817.71,"body":"of simple, quick, easy, no"},{"startTime":810.39,"endTime":817.71,"body":"brainer way to start to build"},{"startTime":817.71,"endTime":821.16,"body":"that confidence and let it"},{"startTime":817.71,"endTime":821.16,"body":"snowball down that hill and just"},{"startTime":821.16,"endTime":825.96,"body":"grow and grow and grow every"},{"startTime":821.16,"endTime":825.96,"body":"day. And so that can be setting"},{"startTime":825.99,"endTime":829.89,"body":"a five or 10 Minute Meditation"},{"startTime":825.99,"endTime":829.89,"body":"goal and sticking to it every"},{"startTime":829.89,"endTime":835.26,"body":"single day. It could be reading"},{"startTime":829.89,"endTime":835.26,"body":"10 pages of a business book"},{"startTime":835.41,"endTime":840.84,"body":"every single day. And you know,"},{"startTime":835.41,"endTime":840.84,"body":"whatever it is for you that you"},{"startTime":840.84,"endTime":846.06,"body":"just have been meaning to do or"},{"startTime":840.84,"endTime":846.06,"body":"you want to do and not getting"},{"startTime":846.06,"endTime":853.47,"body":"around to it has felt just very"},{"startTime":846.06,"endTime":853.47,"body":"depressing and draining of our"},{"startTime":853.5,"endTime":860.19,"body":"self worth. So let's start this"},{"startTime":853.5,"endTime":860.19,"body":"week with a tiny little baby"},{"startTime":860.19,"endTime":865.92,"body":"step in that direction.
