 JD Kalmenson, CEO of Montare Behavioral Health, a growing mental and behavioral health company in Southern California, interviews Ronald Tannebaum and Ken Pomerance, founders of In the In The Rooms (ITR) is a free, digital meeting website and social network for the addiction recovery community. With over 820,000 members in over 136 different countries, In The Rooms provides a virtual space for people to connect with others in recovery around the globe.

Ronald Tannebaum has 38 years of long-term recovery, and has dedicated his life to helping make the recovery movement a positive, mainstream force in the world today. In over 40 years as an entrepreneur, his focus has been on sales, marketing, and promotions. He created The Sports Arena, Inc. a chain of retail stores specializing in licensed sports products, hosting on-site personal appearances by Hall of Fame sports heroes, past and present. The Sports Arena held partnerships with the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins, and the Florida Panthers and promoted each teams’ annual Fan Fest. 

After the sale of The Sports Arena, Ronald founded Extreme Promotions and Events, Inc. which eventually grew into South Florida's premier promoter of Arts and Crafts, and Sports Memorabilia and Collectible Shows. Together with Ken Pomerance, he launched on October 6. 2008.

Ken Pomerance, also has over 38 years of long-term recovery, and over 40 years of successful entrepreneurial experience. He co-founded Gibraltar Central Security Corporation which specialized in residential security for luxury high rises in South Florida; the company sold in 1983.

In 1984, Kenny co-founded the New Life Recovery Center in Miami, a premier addiction treatment center that helped numerous rock stars, writers, high-profile athletes, and politicians. New Life was sold in 1995.

Subsequently, he Co-founded IFN (Internet Financial Network, an early Internet startup that provided real-time financial information to consumers via subscription model). Upon merging with Entrypoint, IFN became Infogate and built real-time desktop news delivery for USA Today, CNN, The LA Times, and other online news providers. AOL purchased Infogate in 2003.


Host Kalmenson is the CEO/Founder of Renewal Health Group, a family of addiction treatment centers, and Montare Behavioral Health, a luxury brand of mental health treatment facilities in Southern California. Kalmenson is a Yale Chabad Scholar, a skilled facilitator, teacher, counselor, and speaker, who has provided chaplain services to prisons, local groups and remote villages throughout the world. His diverse experience as a rabbi, chaplain, and CEO has inspired his passion and deep understanding of the necessity for effective mental health treatment and long-term sobriety.
