Overdose Awareness Day is August 31. Its purpose is to raise awareness of overdoses, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths and acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends. In the first two segments of this episode, Millennium Physician Group’s Michelle McCormick talks with a physician from an addiction treatment center about the effects of mismanaged medication in our senior population. In the second half, the conversation focuses on community resources that help to educate us about the opioid crisis.
