Jazz Cabbage Café cannabis talk and culture- March 9 2021
Apr 29, 2021 Season 5 Episode 10
Rick Thompson

Drew and Anthony from Apothecare are featured in their mobile clone selling station, then Anqunette "Q" Sarfoh is interviewed by Jazz Cabbage Café hosts Jamie Lowell and Rick Thompson.

Recorded on March 9, 2021 and broadcast LIVE via Facebook.

Apothecare is an Ann Arbor cannabis retailer licensed by the state which has gone through the extraordinary step of being designated an organic cannabis cultivation operation. Although the cannabis industry does not have anyone making such a distinction there are third party certification companies, and the company chosen by Apothecare to certify them was Kind. They are also selling clones from a truck in front of their under-construction retail center, and were surrounded by cannabis plants during the broadcast.

In the main segment, hosts Jamie Lowell and Rick Thompson interview cannabis celebrity Anqunette Sarfoh, affectionately known as "Q". Q was a beloved morning anchor on Detroit's Fox 2 channel until multiple sclerosis forced her into retirement. She entered the cannabis space as a patient and an advocate but her career has blossomed into an entrepreneur, a sought-after public speaker and a member of the Board at the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association.

Anqunette discusses the results of the Marijuana Regulatory Agency's social equity task force, on which she was a committee chair. She dishes the details of her new product line, Qulture, featuring Delta-8 products and CBD-infused items. Q also talks about her exciting monthly High Tea virtual events, sponsored by Select.

Appearing with Thompson and Lowell were Debra Young; Colin MacDougall and Jim Salame of 'The Entheo Show';  Shelly Smith of 'Reads and Weeds' podcast; and Berg from 'Medical Mondays' podcast.
