Speaker 1:

Hi, I'm Tyler Carey , Chief Revenue Officer at Westchester Publishing Services and Westchester Education Services. Welcome to the pilot episode of Westchester Words. Over the coming weeks, you'll start seeing regular podcast episodes from Westchester. You see, during the pandemic, we organized a number of webinars with industry thought leaders to discuss the impact of the changes in the industry, from the pandemic reckoning, with DEI and adapting to every other pressure affecting the markets our clients serve. A lot of that content generated very positive feedback, and we want to find scalable ways to continue connecting our clients with our staff and industry figures, to engage on these subjects. We decided to launch the Westchester Words podcast so we can connect with you more regularly than we can via webinars to talk about the topics that matter to you. We'll continue our webinar series with our second annual Publishing Now webinar produced in partnership with Publishers Weekly scheduled for April 6th. The webinars we've organized over the last year show that there's an interest for shorter one-on-one conversations with thought leaders and colleagues about how they are working through some of the issues that many of us are dealing with. We've invited them to talk on Westchester Words, to share practical ideas that you may be able to apply to the work that you're doing. Many of our initial episodes will be focused on the work our clients and us are doing to further engagement around diversity, equity and inclusion, including the work many educational publishers are doing to evaluate their content through the lens of culturally responsive education or C R E. And more content is planned around social and emotional learning, accessibility and digital content, and more. Please contact us to share your thoughts on these episodes and also about what aspects of publishing and content development you would most like to hear us and our network cover in this series. You can find episodes of Westchester Words on your favorite podcast platform or by visiting our website, www.WestchesterEducationServices.com. Thanks for listening. Be well and stay tuned.
