Pamela Madsen, a Somatic Wellness Educator, with a Master's degree in Education, has worked with hundreds of women and couples on their own personal journey back into their bodies. Pamela founded Back to the Body, Inc and The Back To The Body Method™, now in its twelfth year. A pioneer in fertility and sex advocacy, she also was the Founder and first Executive Director of The American Fertility Association. Pamela is a veteran speaker, educator, and has been a blogger. She is the author of Shameless: How I Ditched The Diet, Got Naked, Found True Pleasure and Still Got Home In Time To Cook Dinner (Rodale, January 2011), and was featured in Orgasmic Leadership: Profiting from the Coming Surge in Women's Sexual Health and Wellness by Rachel Braun Scherl. Pamela has been called a “vagipreneur”. She is a fearless advocate for women’s health and integrated sexuality who leverages her raw honesty and well-informed wit to help strip the stigma from women’s wellness, female desire and pleasure, body image, and infertility.

We chatted about sexological bodywork, and the need for women to learn about arousal, desire, and their bodies.  She introduced the idea coined by her author friend where there are "Dragons" at the door for women to deal with in trying to discover their sexuality and explore/succeed in life. She finds women who are in their 40s, 50s, & 60s... professional women both hetero and bisexual women... are exploring and expanding their sexuality, taking their sexuality by the reigns and finally paying attention to themselves... they want it all! And newsflash... "Eroticism doesn't age."

She explained how nice it is for women to experiment with a female practitioner in a safe space, how women should stop asking for permission to be who they are and tend to their own needs and wants, and ask for support from their partner instead. Take charge!

She strives to help women connect with all parts of themselves, thrive in community with other women, and encourages them to play and explore.
