Cancel culture is growing. More and more people are using social media platforms to withdraw support from celebrities, ordinary people, businesses and brands - this is known as 'cancelling'. Many celebrities have fallen victim to cancel culture: Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon and Kevin Hart to name a few. This powerful and influential form of calling out bad behaviour and enforcing social norms can be used as a valuable tool for social change,however, it can also be misused and people's lives can be ruined in an instant.
