More Than An MD
More Than An MD aims to highlight diversity within the healthcare field and discuss adversity faced by pre-meds, medical students and physicians. We dive into various topics including taking multiple gap years, facing rejections from programs, being an international student, dealing with financial hardships, having children during residency, doing poorly in exams, mental health and so much more! We hope to inspire people to pursue a career in medicine despite their background; whether they identify as first generation, low-socioeconomic, underserved, underrepresented, non-traditional, POC, international and/or LGBTQ+.

Outside of medical school, she enjoys running her Instagram account @heykellyellen where she talks about common premed topics, such as personal statements and the application cycle.
