There from a"},{"startTime":223.725,"endTime":227.359,"body":"business perspective, there is, you know, the people whose business went"},{"startTime":227.359,"endTime":231.12,"body":"boom and the people whose business went bust, and I was in"},{"startTime":231.12,"endTime":234.64,"body":"the boom category. I was the most popular girl in"},{"startTime":234.64,"endTime":238.095,"body":"town. Every single thing that I owned was"},{"startTime":238.155,"endTime":241.694,"body":"100% rented for 10 straight"},{"startTime":242.235,"endTime":245.23,"body":"months. It was Wow. Pandemonium. It was"},{"startTime":245.709,"endTime":249.409,"body":"crazy nuts. Yeah. And so that's,"},{"startTime":250.269,"endTime":253.655,"body":"so I had those two businesses, and then I did so"},{"startTime":253.655,"endTime":257.334,"body":"well, during that period of time. And I was"},{"startTime":257.334,"endTime":261.115,"body":"looking for land, my own land to land, basically."},{"startTime":262.1,"endTime":265.7,"body":"And because I was on leased land in Oregon, I knew that was"},{"startTime":265.7,"endTime":269.495,"body":"a ticking time bomb. So, you know, you know that it's someone else's land, and,"},{"startTime":269.495,"endTime":273.115,"body":"eventually, I'm gonna have to move the village. So, in 2021,"},{"startTime":274.615,"endTime":277.94,"body":"I purchased an illegal, cannabis"},{"startTime":278.24,"endTime":281.379,"body":"grow operation, is waterfront"},{"startTime":282.72,"endTime":286.505,"body":"with a hoarder's house. So"},{"startTime":286.505,"endTime":290.185,"body":"I I took the, you know, the profits from my COVID experience, and I"},{"startTime":290.185,"endTime":293.72,"body":"invested in my own land in 2021. And"},{"startTime":293.72,"endTime":296.7,"body":"then sure enough, in fall of 2022,"},{"startTime":297.72,"endTime":301.56,"body":"I was notified by the county that I was in violation, a"},{"startTime":301.56,"endTime":304.845,"body":"very familiar story for most tiny house enthusiasts."},{"startTime":305.625,"endTime":309.065,"body":"I was informed by the county that I was in direct violation, and I would"},{"startTime":309.065,"endTime":311.729,"body":"have to move my tiny house village."},{"startTime":312.83,"endTime":316.43,"body":"And luckily because Yeah. Yeah."},{"startTime":316.43,"endTime":320.164,"body":"Luckily, I had some place to go. So that's the short that's the short"},{"startTime":320.164,"endTime":323.764,"body":"version of where I was last time we chatted and then kind of where I"},{"startTime":323.764,"endTime":327.37,"body":"am today. My gosh. Moving one tiny"},{"startTime":327.37,"endTime":330.729,"body":"house is a lot. So you had to move how many was it at that"},{"startTime":330.729,"endTime":334.185,"body":"point? 6 of"},{"startTime":334.185,"endTime":337.944,"body":"them. 6. Yes. And I I"},{"startTime":337.944,"endTime":341.56,"body":"was only out of business or I was only closed"},{"startTime":341.8,"endTime":345.58,"body":"down, okay, for 30 days. Wow."},{"startTime":346.76,"endTime":350.52,"body":"Now this this, illegal cannabis grow operation hoarder house"},{"startTime":350.52,"endTime":354.175,"body":"situation, I'm guessing there wasn't, like, a lot of infrastructure for"},{"startTime":354.175,"endTime":357.935,"body":"tiny homes there. So what did you have to do to the property to"},{"startTime":357.935,"endTime":361.699,"body":"get it ready for for the 6 tiny homes? Yeah. There"},{"startTime":361.699,"endTime":365.46,"body":"was there was no infrastructure. Although"},{"startTime":365.46,"endTime":369.06,"body":"I did have to move 6 tiny homes, not all of them came"},{"startTime":369.06,"endTime":372.685,"body":"here. But, basically, what I had to do was,"},{"startTime":373.065,"endTime":376.905,"body":"put in, install an RV park, basically. So I have"},{"startTime":376.905,"endTime":380.1,"body":"almost 3 waterfront acres. And,"},{"startTime":380.42,"endTime":383.86,"body":"I basically, got a contractor and a"},{"startTime":383.86,"endTime":387.24,"body":"permit and the whole 9 yards and installed an RV"},{"startTime":387.745,"endTime":391.505,"body":"park. So that involved, of course, tapping into my existing"},{"startTime":391.505,"endTime":395.185,"body":"water supply. Now the electrical, the power was"},{"startTime":395.185,"endTime":398.81,"body":"an interesting story because although I had a lot of extra"},{"startTime":399.29,"endTime":403.05,"body":"I have 3 200 amp panels. So I have lots"},{"startTime":403.05,"endTime":405.985,"body":"and lots of power. Thank you, cannabis grow operation."},{"startTime":407.965,"endTime":411.665,"body":"But I couldn't leverage any of my existing electrical"},{"startTime":412.229,"endTime":415.75,"body":"structure because of how the property is laid out. There was no"},{"startTime":415.75,"endTime":419.59,"body":"way to ditch to get from where the power is"},{"startTime":419.59,"endTime":422.224,"body":"to where the power needed to be. So that was a bit of back and"},{"startTime":422.224,"endTime":425.745,"body":"forth. I had to meet with the power grid with the"},{"startTime":425.745,"endTime":429.025,"body":"utility several times, 3 or 4 times,"},{"startTime":430.26,"endTime":434.1,"body":"because I was asking for yet another meter box"},{"startTime":434.1,"endTime":437.08,"body":"on the same piece of property, which is specifically prohibited."},{"startTime":438.715,"endTime":442.555,"body":"But they went up the ladder, and by the time it reached the top guy"},{"startTime":442.555,"endTime":446.395,"body":"at the utility company He came out and was like, okay. No big deal."},{"startTime":446.395,"endTime":450.09,"body":"We're gonna do that. So there was a bit of back and forth. But, yeah,"},{"startTime":450.09,"endTime":453.849,"body":"I've just basically hired a contractor, dug the ditches, put in the"},{"startTime":453.849,"endTime":457.655,"body":"water, put in the power, brought in a new brought in"},{"startTime":457.655,"endTime":460.315,"body":"a new meter. And then your your your homes, I know we talked about"},{"startTime":464.775,"endTime":468.42,"body":"this in a past conversation, The the toilets are all compost"},{"startTime":468.42,"endTime":472.18,"body":"toilets. Right? So you didn't have to deal with, like, setting up a septic for"},{"startTime":472.18,"endTime":475.54,"body":"these houses. Absolutely. Yes. And that you know, I mean, yeah, we've talked a lot"},{"startTime":475.54,"endTime":479.305,"body":"about that. In fact, fact, that's, of course, also huge conversation in general"},{"startTime":479.305,"endTime":482.764,"body":"and any conversation about tiny homes. All of my tiny homes"},{"startTime":483.305,"endTime":486.89,"body":"are, currently have what's called a cedar loo toilet."},{"startTime":486.89,"endTime":490.73,"body":"So Not a true compassing toilet. I used to use"},{"startTime":490.73,"endTime":494.055,"body":"Nature's Head. I used to have Nature's Head toilets in the houses."},{"startTime":495.335,"endTime":498.475,"body":"The cleaners finally said nope."},{"startTime":499.975,"endTime":503.51,"body":"So Okay. I have the additional challenge not"},{"startTime":503.51,"endTime":506.89,"body":"just of needing a waterless"},{"startTime":507.35,"endTime":511.05,"body":"toilet scenario, but I have the additional challenge of having"},{"startTime":511.595,"endTime":515.355,"body":"staff. I have staff that clean, and then I also have the guest experience."},{"startTime":515.355,"endTime":518.794,"body":"So whatever toilet situation I came up with, it had to"},{"startTime":518.794,"endTime":522.59,"body":"meet all of those requirements. Right? The guest had to literally"},{"startTime":522.59,"endTime":526.29,"body":"enjoy the experience. The cleaners"},{"startTime":526.35,"endTime":529.17,"body":"had to sign off on, agree to"},{"startTime":530.015,"endTime":533.775,"body":"support the scenario. And then, of course, it had to be from my"},{"startTime":533.775,"endTime":537.555,"body":"perspective because I designed the homes, had to be a waterless solution,"},{"startTime":537.695,"endTime":541.279,"body":"an odorless solution. And so I have kind of my own"},{"startTime":541.279,"endTime":545.04,"body":"system that I created for that. Very cool. Would you"},{"startTime":545.12,"endTime":548.895,"body":"well, I mean, I'm just kind of I'm I'm I"},{"startTime":548.895,"endTime":552.435,"body":"wanna go on this ride with you. The challenge is, however"},{"startTime":572.435,"endTime":576.028,"body":"again, I have guests, and I want them to literally have a"},{"startTime":576.26,"endTime":580.1,"body":"completely odorless and positive experience. So what I do is I start with the"},{"startTime":580.1,"endTime":583.785,"body":"bucket, and then I take a 9 millimeter bag,"},{"startTime":584.325,"endTime":587.66,"body":"specifically. It's gotta be 9 millimeter, anything less."},{"startTime":587.98,"endTime":591.74,"body":"So so I take a 9 millimeter, garbage bag,"},{"startTime":591.74,"endTime":594.831,"body":"basically, which is pretty common, but you have to be really sensitive. That's thick, though."},{"startTime":594.831,"endTime":598.524,"body":"yeah. And then I toss in actual pellets."},{"startTime":599.625,"endTime":603.464,"body":"So the pellets I get from the feed store, they are"},{"startTime":603.464,"endTime":607.12,"body":"used, you know, not these are not wood stove"},{"startTime":607.12,"endTime":610.82,"body":"pellets, but they're kinda similar to that. And then the third thing is once per day"},{"startTime":656.14,"endTime":659.98,"body":"during their stay, once per day, the guest actually"},{"startTime":659.98,"endTime":663.634,"body":"pulls that bag and puts a knot on the top"},{"startTime":664.014,"endTime":667.134,"body":"and puts it in the garbage can. So we have a a garbage can with"},{"startTime":667.134,"endTime":670.87,"body":"a black big black garbage bag, so it's double bagged. Well, that's that's I love the innovation there.
