John started his journey under the Renzo Gracie Academy in NYC and Gracie Barra in Rio de Janeiro. He is a dedicated instructor with a long list of clients including members of the U.S. Secret Service, local law enforcement, professional fighters from the UFC and many other promotions. We get into some great conversations about training in NY compared to other places as well as how BJJ has grown from what it was to what it is today. John has had the honor to train with some of the greatest BJJ practitioners ever! We even get into being smart with who you train and roll with as you continue your BJJ journey.
