Youth Sport Safety Update is our new Podcast series from the Jacksonville Sports Medicine Program. Our goal is to provide you with relevant information related to youth sports safety through compelling interviews. There are many stories and topics to be shared that will benefit athletes, coaches, and parents as well as athletic trainers, physicians and healthcare providers. JSMP is dedicated to youth sports injury through awareness, advocacy, and prevention. Concussion and Sports with Dr. Sarah Lahey
Dr. Sarah Lahey, Clinical Psychologist, Director of Psychological services at Brooks Rehabilitation and a concussion consultant to the National Football League discusses her role and the importance of proper concussion management following injury.
Dr. Lahey is a leading authority in research and rehabilitation following concussion. She holds leadership positions in several national organizations and is published in the area of pediatric rehabilitation following brain trauma. She is the principal investigator on a study of predictors of outcomes and service utilization following Traumatic Brain Injury and concussion.
