Youth Sport Safety Update is our new Podcast series from the Jacksonville Sports Medicine Program. Our goal is to provide you with relevant information related to youth sports safety through compelling interviews. There are many stories and topics to be shared that will benefit athletes, coaches, and parents as well as athletic trainers, physicians and healthcare providers. JSMP is dedicated to youth sports injury through awareness, advocacy, and prevention. Cardiac Health in Youth Sports with Dr. Jonathan Drezner
Renowned Sports & Exercise Medicine Physician and Cardiology expert, Jonathan Drezner, MD serves as Team Physician for the Seattle Seahawks and the University of Washington.
Jonathan A. Drezner is an American sport and exercise medicine physician, currently editor in chief of the British Journal of Sports Medicine. In both clinical practice and research he has a strong interest in sports cardiology. He is a first author for the International Guidelines for Electrocardiography (ECG) Interpretation in athletes [1] and was the 19th President of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) in 2012.[2]
