For  most of us, the word "confrontation" always has a negative connotation. However, when we look in the dictionary one of the definitions of "to confront" is "to present with information. I could confront you with the fact that you just won the Lottery and you would not be upset with me!

By starting with a shared value, principle, or agreement we have with someone else, and then - by monitoring our own emotions state, through the use of skillful language, and a dose of courage - we can move through what may initially seem like a conflict into opportunity.
