American Public Power Association

Improving critical infrastructure here in the US is a key agenda item for the Biden administration and will drive trillions of dollars in government spending. Included in this spending are significant new funds to bridge the digital divide and bring high-speed broadband to 100 percent of unserved and underserved Americans.

Today in the PublicPowerX Podcast, we’re speaking to Jason Zelley from Corning and Chris Bailey from WESCO.

We’ll discuss key features of the infrastructure plan as it relates to broadband, how it could get passed into law, and the implications for the industry. We’ll also discuss how this bill could create significant opportunities for municipal builds and public-private partnerships, the three-year outlook for material and labor availability, technology progression, and how to efficiently operationalize projects if you are awarded funding.

For more information, you can reach Jason at zelleyje@corning.com and Chris at ChBailey@wescodist.com.
