Overload
I’ve come to believe that what you overload yourself with will come flowing out of you.
That could be good or bad depending on what you’re saturating yourself with.
For example, if you overload yourself with hate, you’ll spew it outward like a firehose. No one gets spared.
On the other hand, if you overload yourself with gratitude and love, you won’t be able to contain it within. Again, no one gets spared.
So, it makes sense to me to take inventory of what you’re drenching yourself with and curtail your intake if it’s harming you and those you care about.
Think of someone you know who’s forever angry. That rage can’t be contained in their cage. They spread it around, and those around them head for higher ground.
Then, think of someone you’re comfortable with. They have a soothing effect on you and you naturally gravitate to their orbit.
It’s more than their personality that’s attracting or repelling. It’s what’s consuming them that has an effect on you.
But it’s easy to judge others by what they dispense; finding out what’s overloading you makes more sense.
If it’s the downside variety, make every effort to consume less of it, and you’ll be in less of a snit, making you and those around you reap the benefit.
What you abundantly take in can’t help but ooze out.
The recommendation is to overload yourself with what you want to put on display, and you’ll truly communicate to others, “Have a nice day.”
All the best,
John
