We all subscribe to something — beliefs, ideas, ways of thinking. The real question is: Is your subscription still working for you?

One big red flag that it’s not? When you find yourself constantly defending it. Truth be told – truth doesn't need defending. Beliefs do — especially the shaky ones.

Most of the time, when we argue, we're not fighting for the truth — we're fighting for our beliefs . .   and honestly, a lot of them just hold us back.

Now, we’re not going to live without beliefs — that’s human. But we can take inventory. What's lifting you up, and what's just clutter? Because most beliefs don’t open you up to life — they actually shut you off from anything that doesn’t match.

Ask yourself:

  • What am I still defending that truly isn't working?
  • What do I talk about but don’t actually live?
  • What belief sounds great but falls apart in real life?

If something’s not working — stop defending it. Let it go. If you're constantly debating it in your head, it’s not the truth. Remember: truth is quiet. Doubt is loud.

Find the belief you argue for the most — that’s usually the one doing the most damage.

Recognizing a dead-end belief takes guts. Accepting it’s not working? That’s the first real step toward change. It’s brave. It’s freeing.

Time to cancel the subscriptions that are costing you precious moments of peace.

All the best,
 John
