Your Body Doesn’t Lie
Ever get a sharp pain in your body out of nowhere?
You didn’t do anything to cause it . . . but there it is.
And notice – you don’t ignore that kind of pain.
You want it gone. Immediately. So you go looking for a remedy.
Why?
Because your body just told you the truth. No debate. No confusion.
You’re in pain.
Now . . . switch gears for a second. Think about a different kind of pain.
Something more minor . . . maybe physical, maybe emotional.
Isn’t it interesting how quickly we try to talk ourselves out of that one?
“It’s nothing.”
“I’m fine.”
Or better yet – we just push it down and pretend it’s not there.
See, the mind will try to spin it . . . but the body won’t.
The body keeps telling the truth.
It keeps sending signals . . . over and over . . . until you finally deal with what’s going on.
Now sure, we’ve all got our ways of quieting that signal.
Some people reach for alcohol or drugs.
Some for food.
Some stay busy – constantly moving, constantly doing – just to avoid feeling it.
And for a little while . . . it works.
But the moment the high wears off . . .
the moment the distraction fades . . .
There it is again.
Waiting.
So this is really just a long way of saying – stop ignoring your pain.
Your body isn’t betraying you . . . it’s trying to help you.
It’s warning you. Nudging you. Pointing you toward something that needs attention.
Because if you keep putting it off until tomorrow . . .
tomorrow has a funny way of never showing up.
Even Pinocchio had a signal – his nose grew when something wasn’t right.
Yours might not be that obvious.
But make no mistake – it’s just as honest.
You can lie to yourself for as long as you want . . .
or you can stop . . . right now.
And start listening.
Because if you want to be healthy and wise . . .
It starts with one simple truth:
Your body doesn’t tell lies.
All the best,
John
