Create On Purpose

We all create something every single day . . . whether we mean to or not.

Sometimes we like what we’ve created. Sometimes we look around and think, “How did I end up with this?”

For example, take overeating. Your body responds exactly the way it was designed to.

Give it excess, and it creates fat. That’s not your body betraying you. That’s your body doing its job.

So maybe a more useful question is: What are we supposed to be creating?

I think our purpose is pretty simple: to create on purpose.

Most of us have spent enough time creating by accident . . . through habit, conditioning, distraction, or just running on autopilot. The real shift happens when we become intentional.

So how do you do that?

You start by figuring out what genuinely lights you up. What brings you joy? What gives you peace of mind? What leaves you feeling satisfied instead of drained?

Those answers point toward your passion.

And passion leads to purpose.

Purpose is simply deciding what you want to create with the life you’ve been given. What can you create for yourself — and maybe for the people around you — that makes life feel more meaningful and fulfilling?

Now here’s a book title I love so much I’ll probably never write it: The Space of Creation.

Because I truly believe creation happens in the space between thoughts. When the mental noise quiets down, creativity crops up.

And the more often you enter that space, the more in focus your purpose becomes.

Find your passion and you’ll start finding your purpose.

Create a little space in your thinking . . . and you’ll start creating on purpose.

All the best,

John
