Shemika Jackson, Senior Director of Total Rewards at the Tampa YMCA, drops in to speak on the benefits of implementing and utilizing EmpInfo in her own organization.

Amanda: Hi everyone, I’m Amanda Boyle at the Working Smarter Café and you’re listening to the two minute Tuesday tip.

Amanda: Today’s two-minute tip is all about our UKG Ready Marketplace feature add on: EmpInfo. EmpInfo is a free service that automates your employee and income verification process. I had the opportunity to chat with Shemika Jackson, Senior Director of Total Rewards at the Tampa YMCA. Shemika and her team were one of the first adopters of the EmpInfo integration. Take a listen and see why they decided to pursue the use of EmpInfo

Shemika: We decided to utilize EmpInfo because our HR department was short staff and drowning in verification of employment calls and faxes. We had inquired about previous employment verification services in the past but they weren’t as feasible for our company as a non-profit.

Amanda: EmpInfo can help ease your HR departments workload and streamline the verification process. HR no longer need to drop everything to complete verifications for employees.

Shemika: EmpInfo has significantly improved our verification process. Previous previously our company had a wait time of 48 to 72 hours for verifications to be completed. Now with EmpInfo, those verifications are instant, allowing us to operate more efficiently and securely. It’s a better experience for our employees and more secure from a PII standpoint. We can run a report on completed verifications in UKG.

Shemika: Implementation and rollout were very straightforward. I believe we were up and running in less than a week EmpInfo provided great communication tools. We utilized the announcement feature in UKG Ready and added the messaging in a few additional internal communication sources and the rest is history.
