Show Notes

The Elyria Apple Festival is 40 years old. To talk about the history of the festival and what's to come this year, we welcome Apple Festival Committee members, Jim Vandemark and Stacey Francis. The Apple Festival takes place every year the third weekend of September downtown Elyria. The festival this year is September 17-19. The Apple Fest is Elyria's end-of-summer celebration with fair-type food, games, concerts, kid-centered activities and lots of side events such as the car show, a bike parade, an apple dessert contest and the Apple Art Contest, organized by the Elyria Schools. All around the square guests will find their favorite food samplings like Oh Boys, Hershey's Chicken Paprikash, Cabbage and Noodles, Big Fish, Taco Mike's, BBQ specialities, Grobes Apple juice and goodies, Rotary's Fried Ice Cream and of course, the Elyria Schools Pink Cookie. Join us for the fun!
