The Gals dive into Rebecca Hall's directorial debut, starring Tessa Thompson, Ruth Negga, André Holland, Bill Camp, and Alexander Skarsguård and based on Nella Larson's book of the same name. Having read the book, they get into how the film is adapted to screen, why Rebecca Hall decided to she was the person to tell this story, and bring it back to the Imitation of Life and the reasons why the women choose to pass. Plus, salty thoughts on it being overlooked for awards attention and Chels' belated Godzilla vs. Kong connection.
