Interview with Meryl Branch-McTiernan and Tyrrell Shaffner, co-writers and director of "Katie's Mom"

This week on Female Gaze: The Film Club, Morgan is joined by Tyrrell Shaffner (co-writer and director) and Meryl Branch-McTiernan (co-writer) of the new film, "Katie's Mom." The film follows Nancy (Dina Meyer) who is celebrating the holidays with her adult children after her recent divorce. Her plans are derailed when she meets her daughter's charming new boyfriend. A film influenced by "The Graduate," yet told from the perspective of a protagonist inspired by Mrs. Robinson. Meryl and Tyrrell join Morgan to discuss their film, the process of bringing layered women to screen, and the audience response to "Katie's Mom."
