Good morning and welcome to the Inthrone podcast. My name is Solomon, and I'm with Brother Andrew again today. I'm really excited on this early morning. Um Tuesday, 6 a.m. Very excited to see you guys, very excited to speak to y'all today. I just want to remind you guys of the episode that we had last week on anointing. Man, wasn't it great? If you haven't seen it yet, you need to go and check it out. Give us a comment and even like and follow us too because that would be really awesome and really read we'd really appreciate that. And so, um, you know, even with talking about the anointing, I think that it may challenge some people, but what challenges people even more is more than likely their life in prayer and how important it actually is. And so I want to really dive into that because that's what we'll be talking about today. We'll be talking about prayer today. Um, I love this topic because it is a topic that challenges my life even now, up to now, but yet it seems like it's so elementary and so simple. So I want you to pick up your swords, pick up your shields, and let's go to war as we discuss what we will discuss about prayer in the Inthrone podcast. So I'm very excited. How are you this morning? I'm amazing. Amen, sir. I am as well. Uh, I'm really excited to talk about prayer because it is and has been um not only priority more and more in my life, priority more in my life, but it was one of the things I noticed through the ministry that was a main focus, and I feel like it was still so neglected. And even in a Christian's prayer, uh Christian's life now, I feel like prayer is so neglected, and I'm not exactly sure why. Um and so maybe before I even started asking the whys, might it I might as well go and start with what. So sir, what actually is prayer? What is prayer?

SPEAKER_03

So prayer prayer in the in the simplest form, um is really communion with God. So it's it's prayer is you know, I think we have different forms of communication. Yes, sir. Um, because you know, if if you said, you know, say you had a buddy and his name was Bob, right? You got Bob, he's your boy, and you say I talked to Bob yesterday. Okay, what does that mean? Does that mean y'all were together? Does that mean you talked to him on the phone? Does that mean you sent a text message? Does that mean that there was a Instagram message, a WhatsApp message? I mean, our communication has broadened even more. And and so depending upon that, how let's say let's say you said you talked to Bob. And I go, okay, cool. Where'd you see him at an audience scene? Oh, well, how'd you talk to him? Well, it was it was a text message. Okay, immediately, immediately for me, my mind goes, not that serious. Wow, okay. Um, because if it I talked to Bob yesterday, and man, he's really going through some stuff. Oh, cool, where'd you see him? Well, I didn't see him. Oh, okay. So how'd you talk to him? It's just a text message, not that serious. No, he he called me and he asked if he could come over because he needed to talk to me. Now it's serious. He wants face to face. Yes. He he needs a face-to-face conversation with you because of something he's going through. And or or something that's good that's happened, right? You don't you don't deliver like amazingly good news through a text message. Like you're not, you're not, you're not texting, you're not texting your wife saying, hey, guess what, babe? Another baby's coming, right? Typically not, no. Right? You don't even she wouldn't even call you to say that, right?

SPEAKER_01

Right, that's right.

SPEAKER_03

She's gonna wait to tell you that face to face because she wants to see your face. Yeah, she wants to experience that with you. And and even more than that, she might not even take a pregnancy test until you're in the room. Yeah, because she wants y'all both to experience it simultaneously. That's communion. Wow. It's it's it's get it's it's that it's the utmost importance of getting along with God and wanting to experience something with Him together. That's communion.

SPEAKER_01

That's so awesome. Yeah, that's very challenging to what I used to know about prayer, because I think many Christians that aren't maybe as new or fresh off the off the trail, fresh on the trail, um, they're they're used to it being like, oh yeah, I'm just communicating with God. So even myself, like, I'm like, yeah, I was just communicating with God, but there's such more depth when you explained it like that, because that absolutely does make sense. Because you could talk to so many people, but like even at this generation now, we're talking to people all the time. I actually recently had a conversation with somebody where we feel like we're talking to so many people and communicating, but all of it's online, or most of it's online, so we're not really in true relationship like we ought to be, like it would feel as though, like we don't feel as close to people, and um it went which is really cool because that's literally what me and somebody was talking about at the shop. They had just come and visit the shop, and but they were all the way from around the Blue Ridge area, and they were just like, Yeah, you know, I'm I'm looking for more people that are like-minded, like me. And I'm like, Well, you stick around up there, is some cool people up in Blue Ridge as well. So I thought that was pretty cool, yeah. Um, but I think that's what that's really powerful, is a place where we're coming and we're experiencing with God. And so I think with prayer, why is it important for us as believers to come and experience God? Now I know we touch on it a lot at the top uh a lot, but if this was somebody's first time, you know, or maybe they just don't know and they want to hear you say it, like, why is it important to experience God? Just through prayer, yeah, yes. Or to experience God. I would say in general, but especially especially through prayer.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so God, God is um God's gonna mature you in in those secret moments, in that time alone with him. Um and and it's so important for us to get to get alone with him because you're you're never gonna actually be able to sustain publicly what you didn't cultivate privately. And so in in that secret place time with the Lord, you're cultivating something, and then that brings the sustainability in your public life. You you cannot manifest God without spending time with God. And you know, you've heard me say this for years, but um, you know, you become a Christian and you think you're awesome, and as you mature in Christ, you start realizing you're not that awesome and the world doesn't need you. That's right. The world needs it needs Jesus in you.

SPEAKER_02

That's right.

SPEAKER_03

And because Solomon's never changed anybody. I've never said I've never changed anybody. I've I've never saved anybody. Solomon's never saved anybody. That's right. Only Jesus saves. I've never healed anybody, only Jesus heals. And so understanding, because we we've got this elitism out there to where a lot of Christians they think they're awesome, and you're not. Let me just tell you, you're not. That's right. It's Jesus in you that's awesome. And that's not to say you're not loved, you're not chosen, you're not picked, not saying you're a worm. It's just we start thinking that it's about us, and it's not about us. And it it's we we all have conversations with people, and in Solomon, you know, you ever had a conversation with someone that that you're trying to have a conversation with them and they're making the conversation all about them? Yes. Or they're waiting, they only want to hear what you have to say because they're waiting for their turn to talk. Yes. And I think how deep is that relationship? It's not that deep. How much do you enjoy talking to them?

SPEAKER_01

After a while, not so much.

SPEAKER_03

And so the secret place is really where God begins to remove your addiction to being seen, celebrated, and understood. Because when you no longer need to be seen, celebrated, and understood, you now are actually ready for authentic relationship because authentic relationship is not built on you, it's built on him. And it's it's you know, when we talk about prayer, you know, I've said this a lot even on the podcast here, that in the beginning stages you go to prayer for you. And there's nothing wrong with that. And then as maturity starts to come, you start to go to prayer for God because you want to be with God, you're talking to God. But it's, I believe the fullness of maturity is you're not going to prayer for you, you're not going to prayer for God, you're going to prayer for those that don't know Him. And it's not necessarily going, although it can be this, prayer and supplication, prayer and supplication is lifting up things in the name of the Lord that you want to see happen. And those things are fine. Like you can go and pray for your family, and you can pray for lost loved ones and pray for God to empower you and use you and all this stuff. Like that's great, but at some point you get beyond that in maturity scale and you just start going to God and talking to God about his people.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_03

Lord, I really love them, and they really need you. And I I I I I want to know how to better help them know how much they need you. Because right now I'm not so sure they know it. And and they're they're they're a stiff-necked people and they're stubborn and they're hard, but God, I love them. And you start getting broken for his people. And and I think the greatest the greatest level of relationship with God is not us talking to God about people, but God starting to trust our heart so that he can talk to us about people. And so he begins, because most of most of my prayer is not me talking, it's me listening. Because God's got a lot more to say. We just don't have ears to hear. And when you actually transform and become a person that has ears to hear, God talks a lot. And then it's it's understanding that it's it's uh it's it's me and God, and we're best friends. And he's telling me his secrets. And so one of the things like when I travel and I teach, you know, prophetic and different things, you know, people that are I don't believe you can teach someone to be a prophet. I don't believe that you can teach people to be prophetic. Um I believe God does speak to people and they have prophetic moments. You know, Saul, Saul, um King Saul, he was he wasn't a prophet, um, but he prophesied with the prophets because the spirit of prophecy came upon him. That happens. Um but we travel and we and we teach people that are that are actually stepping into a prophetic office or they have a prophetic gift, and and teaching them like the primary thing we teach them is is how to hear God. And what we make them understand is before you ever can be a voice, you have to learn to be an ear. And you'll never be a true voice if you don't prefer being an ear. And you know, we always we ask this same thing. You know, if your best friend tells you a secret, who do you have permission to tell that secret to? The answer is nobody. Now, if you're if your friend tells you a secret and he tells you, like if if if Holly came and told me a secret about Solomon, and she says, you know, don't tell anybody, but you can tell Solomon. I now have permission to tell one person, Solomon. And oftentimes we hear secrets from God and we don't wait for permission of God to speak what he said. Because we we use what we hear in private to empower us in public, and it actually disempowers us in private because God loves us, but it doesn't mean God will trust us with his truth.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_03

And the longer that we can set on that truth without needing to say it any other for any other reason that he told me to say it, God begins to trust you with bigger and bigger things. And and it it's it's kind of like, you know, you you how long you've been married now? About three to four years. Three to four three to four. You don't know, three to four, three to four, Holly, he don't know. Listen, um so he he's been married three to four years, guys. Um but whenever you first got married, you know, comparing comparing conversations, how much deeper are your conversations with your wife now than they were when you first got married?

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely deeper.

SPEAKER_03

Because she's trusting you more. Yes, and and you're probably telling her things now that you would have never told her in the first year. Yeah, no. Because you there's something in us that starts still trying to figure out is this gonna work? Or I don't know if they can handle this truth, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_03

And and it's as we walk this thing out with God, God already, God already knows our hearts. He's waiting for them to be transformed. And every time we come to the secret place to be with him, our heart is being transformed. We're putting on the mind of Christ, not by telling God all of our needs and all our desires, or quoting scripture, or or running around and acting crazy, but simply setting at his feet and beholding the Lamb. And what what we behold, that the eye is the lamp of the body, it'll get in. And and what gets in begins to transform and change us. And so you have this understanding, you know, we we go, we could easily go back to Genesis, you know, Adam, Adam walking with God in the cool of the day. And and it wasn't like Adam, Adam didn't show up to walk with God. God showed up to walk with Adam. Because if Adam's gonna show up to walk with God, Adam's gonna have to leave the garden to go where God is. But God knows where Adam is, so God shows up every day where Adam is to walk with Adam because this is first love that he loved us. And so that's communion. It's like I'm not I'm not going to be with God. I'm going to a place where God will come be with me. And he's with me everywhere. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying like, oh, he's only going to meet me in the closet. Like, I don't even believe that scripture means that. You know, when you pray, go into your closet and shut the door. Like I've studied history. They didn't really have closets like we do now. A lot of them didn't have doors on their closets. They were, there was one big room. And, you know, it and and you have this understanding, like, oh, well, go into the closet, shut your door. Like, that's great. Like, but he's talking about your heart. He was like, shut off everything else that that's that's distracting you in the world and just be with me. And it's about being with him, but understanding that like he lives in us. So every time I shut that door, I'm shutting. So so you got you got the gates of the city. You know, we have all these gates, and Nehemiah set up the you know, the wall, he rebuilt the wall, and you got all these gates and the Fisher's gate, and we can talk about all these gates, but your eye gates, those are doors. So I do believe there is something biblical about closing your eyes. I don't think it's required. And and I think more than he's talking about shut off everything that could hold your gaze, shut off everything that could distract you and just sit with me. It's it's Mary, it's Mary at Bethany, and she's sitting there, and Martha's behind her making sandwiches that Jesus didn't order, and she's just beholding him.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I don't know why Solomon, but every time that I read that, every time I think about that, I just imagine myself as Mary sitting there, and and I I just imagine myself not only looking at his face, but looking at his hands. I don't know if Jesus talked with his hands, but man, he might have. Yes. Then if he didn't, they probably were out. You know, they might have been laid on the table, or they might have been laid on his leg. And I just start thinking about the veins. Because uh or or his fingernails, or or maybe he had maybe he had some some scarring from from different things. He was a carpenter, something he was a stonemason. Either way, like there might have been some nicks and cuts that had happened because he worked with his hands. And I just imagine her just studying, just studying every inch of who that he is, and just memorizing his hands. And and and like then she maybe she gets up to his arms, and maybe she, you know, I've got veins in my arms, and my arm's got hair on it. And and you know, my my kids, my girls, they love my arms, they love my hands because they they love me and they've studied them, and they they love to to mess with the scars that are on my hands. And man, just could you imagine just sitting there getting to touch the scars that are on Jesus' hand? Yeah, getting getting to touch the the veins across the top of his hand, being mesmerized by just the simplicity of who that he is. And she starts working her way up and she starts looking at his face, and and then she looks up, and here's what she sees him looking down at her, and their eyes meet. You ain't got nothing else to look at now. Mary's complaining, you know, or Martha's complaining behind Jesus. You you not only don't even know why she's complaining, you don't even hear her complaining. And you don't have to because Jesus is gonna speak for you. Because you're lost in him. You're mesmer. That's communion, that's prayer. I'm so lost in Jesus, I have to worry about nothing because he takes care of everything.

SPEAKER_01

That's right. That's really good. Um I don't I don't want to leave the moment too much, but I do want to kind of I want to kind of touch on something that you had touched at one point, which was you had mentioned about a prayer of supplication. But I believe that there's like several kinds of prayers I've seen. Um is that true? Or is that you know, just some people interpret that there's several kinds of prayers.

SPEAKER_03

No, there is. I mean, you got you got praying in the spirit, you got prayer and supplication, you got communion, you got I mean, there there's a lot of different variations of prayer, but all of them require a birthplace of one type, intimacy. It's it's relationship with Jesus Christ. And I've been bringing this up a lot. My son, my son is with us for the summer, and you know, he was reading the Bible the other day, and he's we was on the way to church, and he said, Daddy said, You know, I was studying the Bible. And I said, Cool, but what'd you learn? He said, He said, You know, I learned that salvation wasn't about being free from sin, but about being in a relationship with God.

SPEAKER_02

Come on.

SPEAKER_03

And like to to be with him is life. And and salvation means that you'll never die. And uh, if salvation is not free from sin, like he didn't say all this, this is just like teaching it. Yep, because you start going deeper with it because what he was saying is so phenomenal that most people miss it. Because what he was really saying is, Dad, I I come to understand that religion lied, that salvation wasn't about being free from sin, but being in relationship with him. And salvation means I never die, so salvation is now. Because if I'm waiting for salvation for one day when I die and go to heaven, I'm neglecting relationship now. But if salvation is about relationship, it's got to be about it now because he's here, he's omnipresent, he loves me, he's in me, he's all around me, he's for me. And if he be for me, who could be against me? So now I have nothing to fear because he's in me for me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm in relationship with him because salvation is about relationship with him. And then you start to understand relationship, like nobody, nobody in your life is requiring you to be perfect in order to have relationship with him. They understand that you're actually going to come with some baggage, you're gonna, and they probably love you for some of it. Like we one of the things that we we joke on you about a lot is your talking, the way you speak. I mean, the way he he he opened up the podcast. He he said several things. I was like, man, what what is that? And and it's it's one of the things we love about you. You know, but we're also like working on Solomon, you know, because you're gonna be speaking a lot more. We've got to work on this. We gotta we gotta be focused on the fact that I need to make sure when I'm saying things, people understand what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because it's it matters to communicate well. And so now if we understand that, like me and you, our relationship's only going deeper and deeper and deeper. And I'm not demanding you become perfect, neither is Jesus. Now, I'm never saying that Jesus is okay with your sin. I'm saying Jesus is okay that you come with sin, but he'll never let you keep that sin. And through relationship, you start being transformed by just being around him. And so just by being with him, I'm being transformed.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That's really good. That's why it's what is abiding? In the simplest form, abiding is showing up. Showing up. Yes, sir. I'm showing up. I didn't feel like coming to prayer this morning. I showed up, anyways. I don't feel like praying right now. I'm gonna pray anyways. It's easier for me to follow the ways of the flesh. It's easier for me to be like the first Adam than the last Adam and hide when God shows up because I don't want to actually have to change. But transformation is the only answer. And you're not being transformed into something we don't know, you're being transformed into something we do know. And his name is Jesus. Because he didn't I I would teach this Jesus didn't come just to reveal the Father, Jesus came to reveal us in the Father. This is what you would look like if you fully surrendered your life to him. Because Jesus said, I I came from him, I'm returning to him. I only do what I see him do, I only say what I hear him say. That was him saying, like, I don't just have him as a father, he's the Lord, he's the king of my life, and everything I do flows because Solomon, you you can't do what you see someone do unless you're with them. You can't say What somebody else is saying, unless you're with them. So when Jesus says this, what he's saying is, I'm always present with the Father. There's no separation. I'm constantly abiding. I'm showing up.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. That's good news. That's good news. I'm so thankful that that that the Lord has shown us and revealed that kind of relationship with us through him and the Father. Because there are moments where it feels like we are so far from God. Um that almost as if like well praying almost wouldn't do anything. Uh interestingly enough, I think I was partially led on this topic because I had um on my personal Facebook, somebody was having, you know, some issues and trying to hear God's voice. And so I I, you know, reached out, sent it sent a comment, and later I I received that they didn't they they felt like they they were touched by what I said pretty much. And I was and it's not because of man, I let them know that's not me. It's Christ that loves you and is desiring a relationship with you and is drawing you near. And so one of the things I I I think about is a lot of times we'll have issues and problems. Sure. Everybody does, I'm sure. Um and when they're going through things, I I know that prayer is probably not the first thing that they go to, but maybe it is. So maybe they're like, Lord, please help me in this time and situation. And then nothing happens. Sometimes people come to prayer like right off right off the gate, nothing happens that they know of. And then some people they're like, I want to they're they were coming to pray, they've been coming to pray, they've been coming and praying, coming to God. And eventually there's this place where they're getting tired, where they're like, everything still looks the same. You know what I'm saying? I'm feeling hopeless, and you know, I'm not sure if God's actually hearing it. What what would what do we say to those people? What do we what do we say?

SPEAKER_03

Well, I mean, what what I say might be different than what you would say. Because what I would say is stop coming to God only when you're desperate.

SPEAKER_01

Come on.

SPEAKER_03

Because when you come to God only when you're desperate, you're you're you're you're not experiencing the beauty of his presence. And living from his presence changes everything. The the primary thing that it changes is the way you view situations. Because so many of us live beat down by situations and circumstances, and no, the situation and circumstance may not change, but your lens of it can. And you're only going to see clearly if you've been with the one that sees clearly. And so, you know, uh desperation drives a lot of people to prayer, and a lot of them don't even actually believe all the time. They just believe when they need something to change. And then a lot of times God, God isn't always the one that does something that makes that change. Like sometimes it's just life happening, and they get then they stop needing God because now things are good, so I don't need prayer anymore. I don't need to post anything on Facebook right now because things are going good. Then when things go bad, man, they're looking again. I I need someone to pray with me. No, no, no. You need to be with the one that is prayer. Yeah, you need to be with Jesus Christ all the time. And it can't be about just receiving things. Like, because what I know is if if you're if you're much with God, the things of this world will not have much hold on you.

SPEAKER_01

That's right.

SPEAKER_03

And so now, yes, stuff happens, but it'll be okay in a minute. Like there's I tell people this all the time, man. If if what you're dealing with you couldn't change on your own in the next five years, now we might need to be concerned. Because the reality is that list is gonna be so, so small. Like it it comes down to like sicknesses that could lead to death. Like somebody is like on a deathbed. You've got a uh something really bad that you've been diagnosed with in like five years is not an answer. Because in five years you couldn't change it. Now you need God. You need God to show up in power. But still the answer isn't, oh well, now I need to get to God because I'm in this situation. It's no, this is an understanding that I've been needing to be with God this whole time. It was never about what I was walking through, it was about who would walk with me in it. Because a lot of times God walks into your life and he doesn't change your situation, he just walks with you in the situation. And that's what matters. Like when God showed up to walk with Adam, the garden wasn't more green. It was still just as green as it was. The road was the same. Like the tree of life was still there, the tree of knowledge of good and evil was still there. Nothing changed when God showed up. But he was walking with Adam where he was. But we're too often, and and I and I think that's something that's going to challenge people. We too often want to walk with God because we believe when if God shows up and walks with us, things will change. Things don't actually change. Our perspective of what we're walking through changes.

SPEAKER_01

Amen. That's real. So we wouldn't we don't want to just we want to come to God all the time.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, and never leave. And never leave. But what about in situations where we're struggling or don't even have hope? Because there are some people that are coming to God, but they feel like they're they're hopeless. Change who you're around. Come on. Yeah, that's good.

SPEAKER_03

We talk about it. That's good news. Yes. I mean, if you're hopeless, you're probably around hopeless people.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You're you're because of like a vision, my people perish.

SPEAKER_01

Come on.

SPEAKER_03

Get around different people. Like you need you need to be mature enough to look around at the people around you and go, you know, you're not the problem. But I'm not going to change by being around you, and I need something different. I love you. I enjoy hanging out with you. Like, we're cool, but I need hope. I need hope. I need to get around some people that got hope. Yes. Because you start getting around some people that got hope, Solomon. All of a sudden you start having hope when you didn't even want to have it. Right. Hope just gets on you, and you don't even know how it got on.

SPEAKER_01

You can't get it off. And I and I know that I've I've been there. But I think there's some people that they are they'll be with the people. They'll be doing everything except accepting what's in front of them and around them. Not for long. Oh, wait a minute. Not for long. Come on.

SPEAKER_03

You can't. No, there's no way. Come on. I mean, come on. You Solomon, you you you grew up, you grew up around the people that that I long to be with. Like I'm I'm trying to be socially and and and racially acceptive here, but like the reality is is I would love to go to an all-black church.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because they get down. They do get down. They don't care. Like everybody dancing, everybody singing, everybody loud. Yeah. And like I I have never been, and and even, you know, not just African Americans, but also white, white grandmamas, African American grandmamas that go to church, like you better be ready when you get around them. They they're gonna be shouting and hollering the truth of God all over you, and you're not gonna be able to like if you stay around that woman for long enough, hope's gonna get on you.

SPEAKER_02

You can't change it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you know, we have we have an older lady that comes to wilderness church, and and and you know who I'm talking about, not gonna say her name. She also comes to the Bible studies on Tuesdays, and every time you're around her, she's encouraging, she's full of hope. She's full of hope. I love that. And when you leave her, you feel like something got on you. Yes, you're just excited for no reason. Yes, I know. You might have walked in feeling a little down, and now you're 150% up and you don't know where it came. You got around hope.

SPEAKER_02

I got around hope.

And and the people that needed a little more, you need to keep coming back to it. I sure did. You need to reach out to that old grandmama that that you you didn't really want to be around and say, hey, I need to come and hang out with you. Come on. Yes, sir. I remember being in Texas and um I went to a church because a man of God that I was friends with, he told me, He said, He said, if you want some real deep teaching, he said, I'm gonna tell you about this church. He said, Now he's he's an old lion. That's how you described him. He said, But man, you're gonna you're gonna know it when he takes that microphone. And this old man he walked in and he's on a guy, a walker, and there's two guys trying to help him in big big church trying to help him in. And then they did the worship, and the worship's awesome. We're on the floor just crying under the presence of God. It's great. And then he comes up on the platform, they're helping him up the stairs, and they get him up there. And as soon as he took the microphone, it's like the anointing took over, and he started preaching fire of God. Fire of God. And I'm not a man that I don't I don't burn, I don't burn just a little bit, I burn bright. But watching him crawl into that church with a walker needing help, and then as soon as he started preaching the word of God, and now he don't need any of that anymore, but as soon as he was done preaching, he needed it again. I need the word of God like that. I do. And so I waited for him. I told him, I said, Man, I said, I said, I'd love to have a phone number, some type of connection, Facebook. I don't know. He said, I don't do any of that. I said, Well, if I'm ever in town, I'd love to just come sit on your couch and just listen to you talk. He said, We could probably do that. Never got to do it, but there was something about I just wanted to get around it. Yes, sir. And so, you know, I'm hopeless. Get around people that got hope. Yes, and those people that got hope, you know where they've been? They've been with Jesus. They've been with Jesus. Because he's the way, the truth, and life. No one comes to the Father except through him. And the Father has hope. And so it's it's just understanding that I'm gonna get along with God. And if I can't get along with God, I'm gonna get along with people that have been alone with God. I'm gonna get around people that are spending time with God. That I'm not talking about full of hope on a Sunday. I'm talking about you see them at the you see them at the grocery store on a Tuesday, and they weigh too up to be in a grocery store. That's right. You know, as far as common belief, like why are you so happy to be in a grocery store? And they say God is good, and you know that it's not just words, like they mean it. Those are the people you need to be around. But we won't do it because it makes us uncomfortable. It's easier to come and get a taste and then run back to what we know. It is. I've been there.

That's that's that's literally part of my story to a T is when coming to the shop, you know, before really having a relationship with Jesus and seeing y'all and how each one of y'all working at the shop was just interacting with one another, and how joyous you guys were. Yeah, you know, and and just you know, yeah. And I was just like, man, I didn't and it's just like I can't, I couldn't not where I'm at now. I'm just like, I can't believe like I could have been somebody that just came once and then that's it, and I have to keep coming back. I don't and and that's the thing. I did, I kept coming back because I'm like, I like these people, I like this coffee. Um, and the funny, you know, little side note, funny story is though I worked at a coffee shop as well, um, I didn't have a lot of hours, so I wasn't getting paid a lot. And so that's part of why I wasn't there every day. It's because I'm like, I ain't got it like that. But this stuff is good, and these people are so good and encouraging. And that's what one of the things that really lit me up was just being around you guys and just being lit up because of how on fire for Jesus you guys were. And it was really, I'm like, yeah, I like this a lot.

Well, you know, when and just one one last little little nugget of revelation, and then you're gonna close us out in prayer. I sure will. But um, you know, Jesus says, Jesus said, Can you, you know, can Lord, Lord, if or God, Father, if it if it's your will, you could take this cup of suffering from me. And then he drinks of the cup. And and prior to that, he he'd ask Peter, he said, can you drink of the cup that I'll drink from? And and Peter, you know, they say, Yes, like, we will. And he's like, You will. You will. And I think oftentimes we look at that and we go, he's talking about the cup of suffering, and they did suffer. But I don't think Jesus is drinking from a cup of suffering anymore. And we still get to partake of what he's drinking of. What cup is he drinking of now? The fruits of the spirit, righteousness, holiness, joy, you know, long-suffering, patience, kindness. Like we can we can list the fruits of the spirit, but like there's so many more than just the fruit. Like I get to, and then you're talking about drinking, coming and drinking. Like, come and see. Give me a drink. Right? Drink of my reality and let it consume you.
