Hello. Hello. Well, and welcome to the Inthrone podcast. My name is Solomon, and I'm with Brother Andrew today. I'm very excited that you guys are here watching us again today. I want you to just tune in, lean in really close, because today we are going to talk about something that I think is really powerful. Everything inside of God's Word is very powerful. There's so much power, there's so much wisdom within the Word of God. And something that we're going to look at today is actually going to be the power of forgiveness. So I'm really excited to dive in that with you. Before we get started, I do want to just remind you to yes, like and subscribe. Watch the video that we did previously. It's going to really change your life. It's going to really impact you, just like this one will be today. So I want you to grab your swords and grab your shields as we go to war. And I am excited to do that with Brother Angie today because I've learned so much about forgiveness, but I want you guys to learn some too. And I'm definitely going to learn something new today. I'm very positive about it. So uh let's do it. How are you, sir? I'm doing amazing. How are you? I'm pretty great. I'm pretty great. When I was thinking about this topic and praying and asking the Lord about it, one of the things that I was reminded of is a conversation that we had had uh very recently, kind of just about the difference. There was a question that I had asked about Satan being forgiven, like if that's even possible. I know that's that God is able to do all things. My qu what I was thinking of was wondering, like, well, if Satan repented tomorrow, like what would happen? I didn't ask that, but I it was something that I was thinking about, and I had been stirring out with a couple weeks, and so then I was thinking of like how powerful forgiveness is. Like, is it has is it that powerful? So, but that's what I was thinking of, and I think your response to that was very, very I'm like, oh, it was eye-opening. Because after kind of exposing like that, Satan is is not, he's not even really he's he's able to have. I don't want to butcher your words, but from what I remember, is like he would be able to be forgiven because God's forgiving, but it's just that that's not what Satan's wanting. You know, Satan's already made a choice, yeah. And but we get to and he as a matter of fact, the other thing I remember too, which is really awesome, was that is it's not he's not even like us, right? We're able to be forgiven and you know, even more because of the fact that we are made in the image of God, and God made that for us. Yeah, and so and I think that that's pretty cool. I didn't never really thought of it that way and thought of God's love that way, and how like, yes, he loves all his creations, but he loves us so much more. That's right, you know, and so that that really touched me and moved my heart. And so I was like, wow, yeah, forgiveness is something that you know we we really need. And there's other things in my life too that brought it up. And so that's kind of what I want to talk about today, and why I want to talk about it today. Uh, and that the that's kind of the first question that I have, sir, is what is forgiveness and what makes it so powerful?
SPEAKER_04Well, forgiveness forgiveness is first, we gotta understand forgiveness is not merely like cancellation of sin.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_04It's it's restoration to sacred geography. And so when so sin didn't just separate man from God morally, it it displaced humanity from the environment of communion. Yes, sir. And so when that repentance happens, then what happens that forgiveness, and because I I think I think we have to understand that it's what I said to you whenever you asked the question about Satan is is you know, could God forgive Satan? Yeah. And and the first thing that I told you was oftentimes we put forgiveness on the person. It's not can God forgive. God is forgiving. It's can the person turn. Yes. And repentance, forgiveness requires repentance. Repentance is not saying I'm sorry. Repentance is transforming your mind to to think and act differently. And so whenever sin, whenever sin entered, you know, forgiveness became necessary, but the father's forgiveness wasn't withheld from us, there were things put in place for us to step into that forgiveness, but people refused. Because it's it's it's easier um for us to do what seems right to a man, which is why Adam did it, which brought about the fall of man. But Hebrews, Hebrews talks about, you know, just so we can hit hit the nail on the head for the whole Satan thing, Lucifer. Um Lucifer doesn't qualify. He doesn't qualify for forgiveness because he's not made in the image of God. So Abraham's seed is the only ones that are qualified for the blood of Jesus for atonement. It wasn't for angels. Angels cannot receive forgiveness the way that we receive forgiveness. Now, I don't want to say they can't receive forgiveness because we we don't have enough information. We know they can't receive it the way we can. We know the blood does not apply to them. We know that eternity is not something that they can have or not have. They're either in it or not. And so there's there's not going to be a world, Solomon, to where Satan could come and bow at the feet of God and and beg for forgiveness and God would forgive him, and then all the angels that fought fell with him would return to heaven. That's that's not a world that exists. And so he he's damned forever. Yeah. Um, but the question was enticing because it was a it was a deep question of trying to understand, because you asked it more along the lines of could Satan repent?
SPEAKER_00Sure did.
SPEAKER_04But the deeper revelation was how deep is the forgiveness of God, how how powerful is the love of God. And so that's that's what's the most powerful thing is how powerful our loving God is. And he's not capable of love, he is love, and that's a big difference.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Because if he's capable of love, he could he could hate. But he can't hate because he is love, and he's not gonna change or transform into something that he isn't. And so for forgiveness at its root is permission granted by way of intimacy to step back into sacred geography. And so when whenever we recognize things in our life, because think about it like this you know, Holly, Holly's your wife, and and let's say Holly came in um today, you know, this afternoon, and and she walks by you and she says something really hateful, and her heart is to hurt you. Like she's saying it to hurt you because she's mad. And then, you know, that that kind of makes you step back a little bit. And then she says something very deep and personal about something that only you and her share, right? Right. Something that it's maybe private to you, but she's allowed to be a part of, right?
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04And she says that, and she continues to say that for days and days and days. At some point, Solomon, you're probably gonna withhold that area of your life for her. That's sacred geography. You're you can't come in here because not because, and you gotta understand what I'm what I'm saying, because if I'm making you this way, you've got to be like the father. The father's not afraid that you're gonna hurt him. That's why he's not letting you in. What he's doing is he's saying, you have proved yourself to not be holy enough to stand in this, nor do you have the reverence, nor do you have the understanding, nor do you have the intimacy. So therefore, because of that, you continuing to do this, I'm gonna lock that door. You you can't come in here anymore until you repent. And repentance means that you're not gonna do it again. And so then Holly comes up and she has a real conversation with you. She says, Solomon, you know, the last couple of days I've been really going through it. I said a lot of things I shouldn't have said, stuff that I don't even feel. That's not even true. I'm not even sure why I said it. I love you so much. And she apologizes. And you feel by the Spirit it's authentic. Immediately she's let back in. Because that sacred geography, that intimacy, that communion with you is now restored. Jesus did that for us. He restored sacred geography with with an action that our words could have never uh apprehended.
SPEAKER_00Wow. Yes, sir. And so now that we have that access because of what Jesus did, I'm wondering how how do we stay in that in that place of forgiveness? Is it merely just by continuing to think of the cross? Which, you know, I've I've done that for sure. Um or I mean, I don't know. What what when how do we stay in that place where we never leave and have to go and be pushed back?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I mean, we we have to refuse, um, we have to refuse condemnation because condemnation brings shame, shame brings distance. Um but whenever we refuse that condemnation, we refuse that shame, we are now embracing communion and we understand that he delights in us. Right. And so now I'm able to come to him. I'm not stay sitting at a distance, hey, I messed up, hey, I made a mistake, I only know if he knows this, but I don't want him to know, or you know, I don't want to bring it up, I don't really want to walk through that. And that's why like a lot of the body of Christ is fractured, is because people are afraid of having real conversations because condemnation and shame speaks louder than identity. Right. And so what it is is it's it's all it's all relational. You know, because how do you how do you maintain living in the Father's goodness? Because I I think I think that to say, you know, how do we remain in forgiveness? Um, you know, I don't think we're supposed to remain in forgiveness. Okay. Um I think that we're supposed to remain in his love and no need of forgiveness. And it's it's what I've said a lot of times is that we're we're so sin conscious, we're not sun-conscious. And so we wake up very aware of sin, but not worry, very aware of our sonship. And if we woke up very aware of our sonship, we probably wouldn't sin. And and that's just the understanding of our perceived realities because we're we're we're sinners saved by grace, we'll always be sinners, we'll never be able to stop sinning. It's like that's so false. Because if we could never, if we could never stop sinning, then why did Jesus die on the cross killing sin and death? We're supposed to at some point, but like Paul said, May you continue to sin so that grace may abound, may it never be. And like he's saying, don't continue sinning. And you know, he said, be you know, Jesus said, uh let me do this one. Paul was Paul said, I I beg of you do not sin. I beg of you do not sin. But if you do, we have an advocate, the Lord Jesus Christ, who stands on our behalf. So Paul is saying, like, sin being sin-free is possible. But we also have this advocate. But he also said, Don't continue to sin so that grace may abound. Jesus is grace. So what he was saying was, don't take this as permission to continue sinning just because you have Jesus. Like you need to not do that. Jesus is standing in front of the adulterous woman, you know, they brought him, they brought her in. He draws in the sand, whatever he's drawing, forgivening, forgiving, guilty, whatever people think, just a line, I don't know. But he says, You without sin cast the first stone. And they went out from the oldest to the youngest, or from the youngest to the oldest. And then he turns to the adulterous woman and he says, Where are your accusers? She says, None, Lord, they've all gone. He said, Neither do I accuse you. Go and sin no more. So he gives a command. He can't Jesus can't give a command that's not possible. So when he says, sin no more, that was a possible command. You have the ability to not sin.
SPEAKER_00Right. Yeah. I think that's really cool. I don't think because that to me and I and honestly, that hearing a teaching based on that, similar to that, yes, has brought me a lot of fruit in my life and a lot of freedom. But I think the reason why it really touches and hits home for me is because it is one of the reasons why I really started walking closer with the ministry and started coming more and more to hear you teaching. I remember you talking about that on a Wednesday afternoon, if I'm not mistaken. And it was when, you know, the coffee shop had that small room. And I just remember you teaching on that. And I didn't get everything, but that was something that really struck me was that Jesus had told the lady to go and sin no more, and so that walking sinless was possible. Yeah. And I was and in the lifestyle that I was living, I'm like, I don't know how that's true, but I want to learn.
SPEAKER_04Isn't it such a silly thing that we would fight over being able to sin? Yeah, yeah. Because like people, there's people that are gonna hear this, there's people that have heard me preach this for years, and they get mad. They've heard me say it. They get downright mad, like, and they start defending their their ability to sin. Like, like, what are you defending? You can't tell me I'm not gonna that I'm gonna be righteous. I'm gonna keep sinning. And it's like, what? Why why why would we defend that? Right. Yeah, and and it's the state of a fallen world that doesn't understand the love of a risen savior.
SPEAKER_00Come on.
SPEAKER_04Because he didn't die so that we could continue in this trash. Yeah, he died so that we could understand that it's it's one of the most beautiful pictures because we have Jesus on the cross, and we think that like in that moment, Jesus becomes forgiving. Jesus didn't become forgiving in that in that moment. The father, like, like the the cross didn't simply make forgiveness available. What what it did was it revealed that this has always been the father's nature. This is this has been his eternal design, that he is forgiveness.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_04And and like when when Jesus dies on the cross, it's like that's not forgiveness being made being made existent, it's being made visible. Because it's the veil. When the veil was, the veil separated us from the holy. But the veil is torn, and all of a sudden, what we could not see, now we can see that this is the nature of the Father, that we're forgiven. And it wasn't, oh, you're forgiven uh at some point when when you finally realize how horrible you are, and you're finally so beat down that you come to him and tell him how much of a worm you are. No, you're forgiven the moment you realize that you're a son. He he doesn't want you to come completely sin free. He wants you to come sin-ridden, but with the understanding that I'm a son, I'm a daughter, and he walks you out of sin. Yeah, he delivers you from evil. He does it. Yeah. I can't do it. Yeah. Like then the fallen nature of man and the lies of the enemy are too loud and too long for me to deliver myself. That's why we had to have a deliverer. It's it's it's the foreshadowing that we see of Jesus in in the in the heart of Moses. That the Israelites couldn't get out on their own. And even when they brought them out, like they were complaining, trying to run back to their old life. And it's like you've been delivered. But they can only continue in deliverance if they were being, they were following a deliverer. And Moses is that deliverer. He's a foreshadow of Jesus. So how do we continue in not sinning? Follow me, Jesus said. Yeah. Then Paul took it a step further. He's like, I know, understand this, like following Jesus is hard because he's not physically here. And many of y'all don't understand. So here, I feel from the Father to give you this piece of information. Follow me as I follow Christ. Because you can see me. Follow me. And he made his life largely available, and he didn't try to hide things from people, and he walked holy and righteous and upright. And people got to see these things. So that gave them more permission to walk that way.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00That's pretty awesome. Yeah. I um a couple questions that I I've received as well. One that I really think is on everybody's mind, or maybe it's not. I don't know. It's on mine sometimes. And that is that we've done a lot of bad stuff to ourselves. We've done a lot of bad stuff to other people. Uh, when when there was a place where we didn't know Jesus, and maybe sometimes even when we did or we thought we did. And so my question is how do we learn to forgive ourselves? We can forgive other people based on what Christ did, but how do we forgive ourselves?
SPEAKER_04You you have to understand the nature of the Father. That's how you forgive yourself. Because and again, the question's wrong. Yeah. Yeah, because the language is wrong. How do we forgive ourselves? You can't forgive yourself. Only God can. But once you understand that he forgave you, now's now all is forgiven. So now I forgave myself because he forgave me. You hear what I just said? Yes, sir. The power of forgiveness is hidden in you acknowledging the Father.
unknownCome on.
SPEAKER_04And so whenever I acknowledge God and I acknowledge that He's for that He's a forgiver and that He forgives me, I can't hold a grudge against myself because it's Christ in me. We are the image of the invisible God now because Christ lives in us. Now it's no wonder that most of the world doesn't want Christ, doesn't want God because the way that we represent Him. But it doesn't matter. Wherever you go, if you're a believer, if you're a professing Christian, uh professing believer, you are a representation of Jesus Christ. Yes. And people are now going to view him through the lens of which you stood in front of them.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_04Somebody the other day said something about not understanding how people can be in sin and then want to pray for you in an area where you're trying to do it right. Because they'll be doing something over here and they're saying they're a Christian and they hear your story and they want to pray for you. But they don't make no sense because you're praying from this sinful behavior in the exact area that I'm needing prayer in. There's no power when you're coming from sin. So like we've got to be redeemed. We've got to step into the redemptive nature of God. And looking at the Father and beholding him makes us realize, man, I've been making this too complicated. Because I've been working real hard, Solomon, to forgive myself for that thing that I did. But the Father remembers not because I laid it at his feet. And it's not like forgiveness, forgiveness will transform memory from evidence into testimony. And so God doesn't erase memory, right? But he redeems the meaning. Because like you, like whenever you were deep in sin, the way you would talk about it then is way different than you would talk about it now.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely.
SPEAKER_04You don't you don't not have the memory of it. You used to have the memory of it, but he changed the meaning. He transformed it because now it's testimony. And so now the way you talk about it isn't shame or guilt or condemnation. It's it's let me tell you where I was and let me tell you what he did. That's right. And he did what nobody else could do because many had tried. I tried myself and it would not happen. And then one day Jesus.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_04It's real. And it's like, well, well, how do you forgive yourself? One day, Jesus. That's right. We need to start taking that pill. Yep. The one a day Jesus. Just get it in you. Yep. Amen. Just one a day. Come on. That's right. Talking about the men's one a day. Like you need the Jesus one a day.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_04Get it in you.
SPEAKER_00Yes, sir. But when one as we're taking that in, and as as I'm as I'm Receiving this and getting this, there's something else that also comes to mind, too, that people also I this is a topic I think people ask a lot, especially when they're walking with Christ. This is something that comes up a lot, sure, just because of shame, of guilt, and of condemnation. Um, and I think us just kind of continuously grabbing hold of that versus grabbing hold of Jesus. And so, you know, a question that I also get a lot too is how do we know that we've actually truly forgiven someone or something, you know, or a group of people, or whoever? How do we know we actually have forgiveness? I love this for that forgiveness. Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I love this question.
SPEAKER_00Come home.
SPEAKER_04Let me find this. I want to read this scripture. Romans four seventeen, I think. As it is written, I've made you a father of many nations in the presence of him who believed God, who gives life to the dead, and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. Right?
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_04And so when whenever we look at Romans 4 17, and we think about forgiveness, forgiveness is agreeing with heaven's verdict before history can catch up. And so forgiveness is prophetic, right? Right. So you you you start treating someone according to what grace intends them to become. So whenever we read Romans 4 17, this is grace prophesying what he will be, because that's what he's intended to become. So the question, how do we know that we've truly forgiven someone? You don't harbor bitterness in your heart towards them. You start seeing them differently. If you still only see them as their action or what they did, and you're judging them based on who they've been in the past, that's not forgiveness. Remember, forgiveness changes the language, it turns memory into testimony. And so it's not that you forget what they've done, it's that there's a testimony behind it now. And so, you know, you might you might look at someone that you grew up with that, you know, maybe they used to bully you. And you meet them now, and it's illegal for you to assume that they're still that way. But now if they start talking to you about Jesus and and the power of his love, and you know, they they admit to you, no man, I was pretty mean to you growing up, and that was wrong of me. And I should have never did that, but I didn't know any better, but now I do. And because I didn't know any better, doesn't give me permission to have done it. But now I do, and I need your forgiveness. You say, Oh man, I forgive you. And then the next time you see them, you're you know, and y'all walk by and you go to your your wife and you go, That's a guy that used to beat on me when I was little. That's not forgiveness. You're you're the story. Should be you, I gotta tell you this. That was my childhood bully. And he came up to me the other day on the full love of God and asked for forgiveness and admitted where he was wrong. That's the power of God. That's forgiveness.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Because now I start seeing him as a testimony instead of what he did. This is the existential reality of the father's heart through the son living inside of us.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_04And so when when I think I've forgiven them, but they're horrible. You didn't forgive them. Right. You know, it's not that blatant, but that's what we do. We we don't go, well, you know, I I feel like I've forgiven them, and and they're a horrible person. We go, but they're like this.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04It sounds like you're still holding their actions against them. Yeah. And forgiveness sees the possibility, mercy calls them into what they can be and are supposed to be.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Because people, people are people. People do stuff. And you walk up to them, you go, hey Solomon, you know, I know I know the other day I told you specific things on the way I wanted them done. And you didn't do it that way. But I know you're capable of doing it. I believe in you. You're gonna keep giving be given the opportunity to do what you're supposed to do in the order in which you're supposed to do it, not because you're qualified, but because you're called. And I believe in the calling on your life. And so I'm gonna keep working with you because I believe in that.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Now, if I come up and a song, I can't believe you didn't you did that. I forgive you, but I'm not giving you anything else. That's not forgiveness. Yeah, that's me holding it against you. And that's why we give so many chances. Because I believe forgiveness always opens the door for relationship. Yes. 77 times seven. That's how often we're supposed to forgive. It means infinite. So, so nobody, nobody's ever done. Relationships never over. And and I I am the guy that I don't believe that you earn trust. I don't believe that.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04I believe trust is spoken. When the father speaks for you to trust someone, you trust them. Oh, wow. And it's regardless of their actions because you're living from what the father said, not what you can perceive on an individual's life. When we say trust has to be earned, we're telling people you've got to measure up to what I think you need to be for me to trust you. Right. Because all it is like we can say, No, well, no, but they got to prove that they're not gonna steal. Okay, by whose standard? Because now you're telling them as long as they behave accordingly, you will trust them. So now trust becomes behavior management.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04And it's wrong. That's not love. That's not the heart of the father. Because the reality is that the father speaks trust into our hearts. And that's the way it's supposed to operate. You're supposed to hear from the father who's supposed to be your pastor, and now you trust. You're supposed to hear from the father who's supposed to be a spiritual father in your life, a mentor, a teacher. Uh who are you supposed to marry? The father's supposed to speak that. Not emotions, not pleasure, not delight. The father. And when you hear his voice, it doesn't matter anymore.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Come on. Yes, sir. Then that's so awesome. We might have time for one more. Oh, really? Okay. Well, I believe the question is I really want to ask a good one. Um thank you. Um, I don't want to stir too off topic, so maybe this may not be the one, but we'll find out. And what I was gonna ask was about uh Hebrews 10 26.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00What does it mean? It it and I wrote in my notes, it does talk about sacrifices, but some may interpret this as forgiveness. And I think some people have, including myself. So let me turn there too. Yes, Hebrews 10, 26. And and if you want, sir, I can read it. Um it says, for if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. But then and then 27 talks about a fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which all will which will devour the adversaries. Sounds awful. But but I'm wondering if that is even pointing at forgiveness, because when I was doing a little bit of research, I never really saw the word forgiveness, and actually the whole chapter looks like it was talking about sacrifices. But you know, I I don't know, that's kind of what I was wondering. Like, what does that verse mean for people? Or what which how should we understand it? How should we read read that?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so it it for if we if we sin willing willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. So it's it's it's really pointing to the fact that there is no other sacrifice. G all other sacrifices has ended. Jesus is the only one that counts now. And so when whenever we have sinned willing willfully, then we're actually like once we received that knowledge of the truth, it's the same as tasting the good word of God, which Hebrews 6 5. And so there there remains, this is a New Testament prophecy that we've got here in Hebrews. And when when someone rejects Christ as the only sacrifice of sin, that there remains no other. So he will be he will have to be suffering the punishment of that rejection.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_04And so you could you somebody could Google and look up the the seven judgments of the apostates, and that that would help with a lot of understanding there. Um and so as long as the backslider retains his faith in Christ and his atone and his atonement, he can be renewed to repentance. But if he totally rejects Christ and the gospel of God, like the gospel of Jesus Christ, he becomes hopeless. And so that's really what it's outlining.
SPEAKER_00Gotcha.
SPEAKER_04It's Jesus alone.
SPEAKER_00Jesus alone.
unknownOkay, gotcha.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and it and it's it's basically saying don't turn, don't turn away from from God. Once you've been enlightened, don't turn away. Yeah. Absolutely. That's what it's really saying.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that makes sense. And I've seen a little bit of that in other parts of Hebrew as well. Yeah in the in the book of Hebrews as well. So I think that's pretty cool. Well, sir, I'm so thankful. I'll praise that unless you want to. Sure. Yeah. Um, so Lord God, I I am so thankful for today, and I am thankful for what you've put on my heart and and what you've been putting in Brother Andrew's heart as well, and just his willingness to just pour out. And I'm so thankful for who you are because you poured your love out on us first. Thank you, Lord God, for your forgiveness. Thank you for giving us the opportunity and the availability to come closer to you, Lord Jesus. I'm so thankful for your sacrifice, and I'm so thankful for who you are. I'm so thankful for your love for me, for your love for us, for your love for your people, Lord, and the love for humanity that is just awaiting to see Christ. And so I'm just so thankful, Lord God, continue to work in us. And I bless your name, and I thank you in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
SPEAKER_04And Lord, right now, I just I speak, I just felt this. Come on. I speak over hopelessness. Lord, I thank you that the verdict has not been rendered. Lord, I speak vision into the hearts of the individuals that are watching this, that are feeling hopeless right now in this season. Lord, because of lack of vision, your people perish, but where there is vision, they stand in hope. So, Lord, I thank you. I thank you for vision coming and hopelessness being destroyed. Be destroyed in Jesus' name. Lord, we thank you for that. Amen.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Thank you, sir. Bless you guys, and thank y'all so much. Make sure y'all tune in every Tuesday at 6 a.m. because we go after it each week. We thank you so much and have an awesome day. Bless you. Bless you.
