Hello. My name is Solomon, and I am part of Wacom Ministries. I am a um one of the assistants here. I do a lot of assistant work and very different from what I'm used to doing. This episode will be a bit different. This is indeed the In Thorum podcast, but a little bit different than usual.
SPEAKER_01Just wanted to share a couple things that were on my heart before going and starting the day.
SPEAKER_02Before I get started, if you haven't already, definitely check out the episode that we had last week. It was very powerful and so fun. Always a pleasure to have different people talking about their experiences with Jesus. And today I'm very excited to share what God is kind of putting in my heart.
SPEAKER_01Of course, I shook everything. And that is just where I am and where I'm standing.
SPEAKER_02Hold on. Because I think um there's places and areas in my life where I see God move. And I see God moving. And the only area that I just miss a lot of times is my own life. I think that's a lot of times where many believers and Christians are. There are many people that believe they're seeing moves of God in other people's lives, but not their own.
SPEAKER_01And so I think I want to speak to those that may feel hopeless, may feel lost or having a hard time with things in their life right now, and they're wanting God to intervene.
SPEAKER_02I truly, I truly believe that God is already intervening in your life. Whether you watch this or not, I think he's always intervening in your life in such a way. The challenge is trying to see him move in the way you want him to see versus how he's actually going to move. When we look all through scriptures, especially through the gospels, I think it was really interesting to see that there was an expectation that people had of Jesus, and he did not do any of those things. They thought he was supposed to be a highly king. They thought he was going to come as a man. Some did. And for all these years, people were just like, This guy's gonna come. I'm hearing these prophecies that you know this guy's gonna come and he's going to to save us and you know free our people. Well, who is that man? And Jesus comes along the scene and looks nothing like what they had predicted he would look like. And I think that's a lot of times our own life is that God is not going to look like how you want him to look.
SPEAKER_01And it's kind of, you know, it would seem almost self-explanatory.
SPEAKER_02But I just don't truly believe that when we walk this thing out with the Lord, when we're walking uh with him through our purpose, through our gifting, through um hardships, through good times, bad times, through our purpose, while we're walking and doing his will, I find it that a lot of times many people get disappointed because it's never how we think it's we we it's God always does it different from how we would.
SPEAKER_01And I just really love that about God. I really love that about the Holy Spirit. Let me share something with you.
SPEAKER_02As the Lord was dealing with me in different areas, I remember early on before I got married, I said, Lord, I know I don't deserve much. But if you do bless me with a wife, you can let her have many kids and have been on the streets and be in worse shape than I am, worse shape, so to speak, than I am, in a physical sense. As long as she's going with you. That's all I ask.
SPEAKER_01And and Lord, even if you give me a very difficult job, as long as it's for you, that's what matters. But make it in music. And I made other hopes.
SPEAKER_02Because I felt like I deserved to have, I deserve to live a more difficult life because of things that I've done. But not only are the gifts without repentance, but God's mercy and God's love is not through works, but it is through him and him alone.
SPEAKER_01His kindness is what turns us to repentance. And the things of God are things we could never imagine.
SPEAKER_02God gifts us with so many things that we don't deserve, we didn't work for, we didn't earn.
SPEAKER_01Salvation was a free gift.
SPEAKER_02And I think we as humans, strangely enough, as as much as we're biologically wired, so to speak, we feel like we have to work for his love.
SPEAKER_01Stop working for his love.
SPEAKER_02You don't have to work for his love. You don't have to do anything for God to love you. That's usually one of my number one conversations with people on the streets when I go and do outreach and when I evangelize, is I let them know there is nothing you can do to earn God's love. There's no church that you can go to to earn God's love. There's no ministry you can start to earn God's love. There's no job you can do, there's no person you can marry to earn God's love. There's no extra thing you have to do in order to receive the love of God. He just invites you to come to his house. I love the story of Zacchaeus. Short man, we man, looking at a tree, looking and seeing just the Lord. And I think a lot of times, like, people can do whatever they want, literally. Like, he could have just looked and been like, oh, well, that's that Jesus dude. And I've walked away. But he stayed and he walked up the tree, and he, I can't climb a tree. Apparently, he can do it. His short self climbing a tree. And he crawled up that tree, and he's looking. He's like, oh man, there is that guy that they're all talking about. And there's a magnet that there's this large crowd of people. Not not two or three people, like, oh, you that guy. No, there's a crowd of people, all who may have done so much and worked so hard to get there just to see Jesus. But Zychaeus, all he did was climb up the tree, and not so that way he could be chosen, but just so he could see King Jesus. And wouldn't it be like Jesus to choose somebody that the crowd and the people would deem unworthy. Originally, before I got on here, the goal was to maybe share my testimony and kind of just flow from there. And I couldn't find that file. Hopefully, this doesn't end up the same way, but I doubt it will be because I feel like this message is something God is actually wanting me to say. Because everybody can hear a testimony story and be like, oh boy, a testimony. Yes. But to be told you're worthy, regardless of where you are, of his love, that Jesus still chose you, me, her, him, whomever. Jesus still looked at you and I. And he chose us. He chose you. I know he chose me, but I'm just gonna just talk like just you understand. He chose you. He saw you. He said, I know you're a cheat. Uh I know you're uh, for lack of better words, I know you're slimy under the table. Just me saying, just cheating and and and doing wrong in terms of money financially, but it could be all things. I know you don't treat your people fairly. I know you take extra from them. But me in my presence is gonna come and bless your house by me being there. And I'm gonna eat with the sinner.
SPEAKER_01Jesus invites us each to come and dine with us.
SPEAKER_02And there's a song, one just one look of Jesus, and my face is down in the ground, something that expand, something that extend.
SPEAKER_01Where even just the look at Jesus can transform you.
SPEAKER_02One look at Jesus transformed a woman, so much so, that she washed his feet with her hair. And maybe that has a deeper um historical reason to it, but I don't wash my people's feet with my hair typically. I don't. Um, I'm sure you don't either. But saying you're so worthy, I will wash your feet with my hair. It's worth doing. Women's hair was considered um sacred. So for her to just be washing his feet with her hair is already a sight within itself. When Jesus steps in the room, we have permission to be the most undone we can be. Whether that's washing his feet, whether that's inviting him to our home, whether that's giving all that we have to him. And so you I desire and hope that you see miracle signs and wonders from as far as the eyes can see. But the number one miracle that I hope that you see today is the one that stands in the mirror. And you look through that mirror and you look and say, I am a miracle.
SPEAKER_01I'm here today, and Jesus chose me. There's so many people that I've met and that I continue to meet, and Jesus chose them.
SPEAKER_02Not a place of this is dodgeball, who's the best one, I'm choosing you. No, Jesus said, I died for you. I died with you in mind. I didn't forget about you.
SPEAKER_01And I truly hope that that resonates with you.
SPEAKER_02There was um so many moments where I didn't think that the Lord would choose me to do anything, and He's chosen me to do many things, and things that honestly are so heavy and beyond me. But through circumstance and through people, the Lord chose me. Because there's many people qualified and more qualified to do the things that I'm currently doing, uh, my hand in the plow of many things from ministry to family, and the and there are so many advanced people, so many um um I'm gonna put your words up, credential-filled people, people that have all the credentials and more, that are able to take my spot tenfold in everything. I'm even talking family-wise. But yet the Lord said, I chose you. It reminds me of Pokemon. I'm a little bit of a nerd myself, and so it reminds me of Pokemon where there are some battles where Ash Catchum, Ash Catchum has to make a slot, a decision who is gonna be the best fit for this battle. And before he throws the ball, he says, I choose you. He'd be whoever. If you've never watched the show, it'd be a good idea to at least the first season or two, however, you feel about it.
SPEAKER_01And he every single Pokemon he believes in, from Pikachu to Charizard, he believes in them.
SPEAKER_02And throughout the show, you just watch him grow with these Pokemon, and these Pokemon just love him. Some of them disregard him. Uh, even with their with their quirks and their uh, you know, their behaviors, their mannerisms. There's a faith that Ash has in them when he chooses them. Regardless of the situation, he says, he is the one. He can do it. I don't care about your stats. I believe in you. And I've watched that show and I've just seen so many battles where I'm like, bro, you could have chosen anybody else. You you could have chosen a different Pokemon, you could have caught something way better for this fight. But Ash has such a heart that reminds me of Jesus that says that the stats don't matter. It's what's inside of you that I chose. We can take it the Bible. It's the same thing with David. Anointed, he was. God anointed him. He didn't look at his statures and the other brothers and said, He's not tall enough, he's not good enough. He said, Oh, that dude by the sheep over there doing his thing, the young one with the sheep. Yeah, him. He's gonna carry the legacy. And so today go and look at that mirror and say, I am a miracle that God has chosen. You are the living miracle that God has chosen. You are a living miracle that God has chosen, that he sees. God is just there, just waiting on you. God don't sleep on you. He's like, oh, you're asleep. Okay, cool. Now I can sleep. He's excited to see you. He's speaking to you, even through your dreams and through your sleep, through your subconscious. And when you wake up, whoo! Life again. There's my living miracle. Wonder what he'll do today. And we just take it for granted as just, oh, another day, ah, my back, ah, you know. And we don't take the time to go to the mirror and say, I'm a living miracle that God has chosen. He chose me. Jesus said, I choose you.
SPEAKER_01And it's all a choice. Choose ye this day who you will serve. And so I bless you. And I thank you for listening.
SPEAKER_02And I don't even know where I'm at with time. I hope it's 30 minutes at least. But I'm I'm really thankful to be able to share this message with you, and I really hope that it encourages you. And I really do hope that you look and you say, yeah, this is the Lord chose me.
SPEAKER_01And he did. And he didn't make a mistake. He saw Gideon.
SPEAKER_02He didn't make a mistake with Gideon. He saw your flaws, he didn't make a mistake.
SPEAKER_01We get so caught up in here. But yeah, he didn't he didn't get caught up in here.
SPEAKER_02So maybe answering a question. I can answer a question for you. How do I believe that what's in here is worth it? Because I get it. There are days. I thought I was gonna end, but just real quick. There are days where it's like, oh, you know, I just I'm messing up and screwing up. Maybe I'm not cut out for this.
SPEAKER_01But no, you we gotta remember the cross.
SPEAKER_02We gotta remember that you were put here for a reason. We gotta remember that Jesus didn't die for people to just quit. Um He's there thick and thin through. He said he'd never leave you nor forsake you. He didn't forget about you. So how do I, how do you, how does one continue to believe and press forward when you feel like you can't do it? It's not about how you feel. It's about what he said. It's about what he's done. He's already done it. Therefore, it's not something that you have to, well, maybe, I don't know. It doesn't fluctuate day by day.
SPEAKER_01It's what he's already said about you, it's already written in stone.
SPEAKER_02If you want it more practical, ask for faith to see the living miracle that stands before you in the mirror. Say, Lord, I want to see that living miracle today that stands in the mirror. I didn't go through hellfire and back and dirt and mud and all this stuff just to give up here.
SPEAKER_01Bring me more faith. Increase my faith. That sounds so extra spiritual. Believe in things unseen. It ain't super spiritual, it's just biblical. Get real basic with it. Just read the word. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Get in John so you know the character of Jesus. Have faith. Go look in a mirror today and see that living miracle.
SPEAKER_02Jesus, I thank you for each and every miracle that you will touch through this video. I don't take this time for granted, Lord, as you've even touched me. I'm thankful for who you are, Lord Jesus. I bless your name and I honor you, and I love you. No matter where I've fallen and where I've tripped, Lord, you say I'm righteous.
SPEAKER_01You say that I'm worthy. And you look at me clean, squeaky clean.
SPEAKER_02And I pray that the viewers and each person sees the same exact thing.
SPEAKER_03Increase their faith. And I bless their ears. In Jesus' mighty name.
SPEAKER_02Amen.
SPEAKER_01Every Tuesday, 6 a.m. and throw them podcast. Hope you have an amazing day. And um I bless you in Jesus' name.
SPEAKER_03Peace.
