La Vernia track and field teams are District champions

The La Vernia High school track and field teams traveled to Gobbler Stadium in Cuero to compete in the District 28-4A track meet April 13-14, and came home with team titles in 3 of the 4 divisions. Additionally, the top 4 finishers in each event in the varsity competition have qualified for the Area track meet that is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, at New Braunfels Canyon High School.
