The Alamo has acquired a cannon used in the 1836 Battle of the Alamo, making a total of 11 battle-used cannons currently in the Alamo’s possession. The Alamo broke the news Jan. 8 on an episode of “Stories Bigger Than Texas: The Alamo Podcast.” The swivel cannon weighs about 90 pounds and is roughly 3 feet long.
