Derek Gaudlitz of Wilson County (second from right) is the new chairman of the San Antonio River Authority board of directors, following the administration of oaths and officer elections during the Jan. 12 board meeting. Joining Gaudlitz in being sworn in are (l-r) returning members Patrice A. Melancon, Bexar County at-large; Gaylon Oehlke, Karnes County; Jerry G. Gonzales, Bexar County District 1; Lourdes Galvan, Bexar County District 2; and new board member Wilfred Korth of Goliad County. The board members each serve a four-year term. Galvan and Oehlke join Gaudlitz as executive officers serving in that capacity for two years.
