Suspect dies after gunfire exchange in Floresville

A fugitive who exchanged gunfire with law-enforcement officers in Floresville the afternoon of Nov. 29 has succumbed to his wounds. Reymundo Ricardo Flores, 33 — wanted for a parole violation in Guadalupe County — attempted to flee after Wilson County sheriff’s deputies approached him near the intersection of 10th Street (U.S. 181) and Standish Street. The DPS Texas Rangers Division is assisting the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, as an investigation continues.
