You can almost certainly find David Verrips, owner of Authentic Trophies Taxidermy LLC, lost in the details of his work on any given day in his homey, cabin-style shop in La Vernia. He’s been there, just off F.M. 775, for more than a quarter of a century, and has been a taxidermist for even longer. But how did he get here?
