Alpine to host Lone Star Poetry Gathering

Drive out to west Texas to Alpine for the Lone Star Cowboy Poetry Gathering, where more than 40 poets, singers, and instrumentalists will speak, play, and sing Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 15-18. A few highlights guests can expect at this year’s event include “Charlie Goodnight: His Life in Poetry and Song” — a true western opera comprised of 15 poems and 14 songs, five additional ticketed shows, 35 free sessions, a Show Rodeo, and Chuckwagon Breakfasts and Cowboy Suppers.
