La Vernia track and field teams are District champions

The La Vernia High school track and field teams traveled to Gobbler Stadium in Cuero to compete in the District 28-4A track meet April 13-14, and came home with team titles in 3 of the 4 divisions. Additionally, the top 4 finishers in each event in the varsity competition have qualified for the Area track meet that is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, at New Braunfels Canyon High School. District champion team titles were awarded to both the varsity and junior varsity boys, scoring 226 points, and the junior varsity girls, who scored 223 points. The varsity girls finished as...
