Byrom is Poth ISD lone finalist

The search for a superintendent of the Poth Independent School District (ISD) has ended after the district’s board of trustees Jan. 31 selected its lone finalist. Dr. Albert Byrom, who currently serves as superintendent of the San Perlita ISD which is located east of Raymondville in the Rio Grande Valley, likely will officially take the helm March 1, said Chief Financial Officer Braden Lyssy — who has been serving as the interim superintendent.
