Mustangs take down Eagles, fall short to Pirates

This past week, the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs boys basketball team hosted the Karnes City Badgers in the second round of District play. The Badgers previously hosted the Mustangs earlier in the season, beating them 68-39. The boys showed up ready to play Feb. 4, as every game at this point is crucial for a shot at a postseason run.
